Patriots Wire Podcast: Patriots beat Jets, cup check-gate overreaction, Week 4 preview

The Patriots Wire Podcast is back, and we’re talking Patriots-Jets, cup check-gate overreaction and the Week 4 road trip to Dallas on Sunday.

It has been a weird week for the New England Patriots.

After surviving a road game against the New York Jets, it has mostly been an open forensics discussion on whether or not quarterback Mac Jones hit Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner below the belt after a play.

After SpyGate and DeflateGate, Cup CheckGate became a real thing for the Patriots. Thankfully, it didn’t last as long as the other two overblown scandals.

The Patriots can now put all of that in the rearview and focus on a tough road game in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. A win on Sunday would drastically change the narrative surrounding the team and their chances of competing in the AFC East division.

In this week’s episode of the Patriots Wire Podcast, Ryan O’Leary and I shared our thoughts on the Jets game and talked about the Patriots’ chances of pulling off an upset in Dallas.

Steelers Wire Podcast: Is Kenny Pickett good again and can Pittsburgh move to 3-1?

Check out this latest episode of the Steelers Wire Podcast.

Welcome to Episode Three of Season Four of the Steelers Wire podcast.

This week’s episode is once again hosted by Ryan O’Leary (@RyanOLearySMG on Twitter/X) and is once again joined by Steelers Wire Managing Editor Curt Popejoy (@CurtPopejoySW on Twitter/X)

Everything from the latest info on the team to fantasy football advice will be covered, along with some opinions on the betting lines, all with a focus on the Steelers.

This week the guys break down how the Steelers got the close win over the Las Vegas Raiders but they wonder if this team is really good enough to compete in a crowded AFC North.

They also wonder if all those folks who cooled quickly on quarterback Kenny Pickett are back on the bandwagon after the first two-touchdown game of his young career.

Finally, the guys look ahead to the Houston Texans this weekend. The Texans are a young, confident team who don’t seem intimidated. But the Steelers usually put rookie quarterbacks under duress so CJ Stroud is going to have his work cut out for him.

Broncos Wire podcast: Rants on Vance Joseph and Caleb Williams

On this week’s Broncos Wire podcast, Ryan O’Leary discusses Vance Joseph’s job status and Jon Heath rants about Caleb Williams pushback.

Whelp.

The Denver Broncos lost to the Miami Dolphins in humiliating fashion on Sunday, with a final score of 70-20. On this week’s Broncos Wire podcast, I joined host Ryan O’Leary to react to that loss and discuss much more going into Week 4.

You can listen to episode 86 below:

Our unedited notes for this week’s pod can be seen below.

Broncos lost 70-20 to the Dolphins
  • Life is pain.
  • Mike McDaniel went easy on them and didn’t go for the regular-season record of 72 points. They were in field goal range at the end.
  • Miami rushed for 350 yards and threw for 376 yards, scoring 10 TDs.
  • Tackling was terrible. Effort was poor in the second half.
  • Only bright spot was Marvin Mims making plays once again.
Denver’s not firing Vance Joseph (at least not yet)
I have a rant for Twitter replies about Caleb Williams
  • I tweeted a GIF of Caleb Williams from Broncos Wire’s page. I want to vent about the replies from Broncos fans.
Loser of Sunday’s game gets Caleb Williams?
  • The Bears (also 0-3) will host the Broncos on Sunday. Denver is considered a 3.5-point favorite. Can we trust the Broncos this week?

Ryan and I will return each week during the season to react to every game.
