Power Ranking: Michigan football future NFL draft potential

Where we envision the current crop of Wolverines to be drafted as of today if not much changes between now and next year.

19. Andrew Stueber

Let’s say this up front: all four of Ed Warinner’s eligible to be drafted in 2020 were drafted. Thus far, the only one of his players at Michigan that hasn’t been was Juwann Bushell-Beatty after the 2018 season.

Andrew Stueber has started games for Michigan, but he was thrown into the fire in 2018, when the aforementioned Bushell-Beatty went out against Indiana in the penultimate week of the regular season. Thus, Stueber got his first start at right tackle against Ohio State. He did okay, given the circumstances, but he wasn’t able to get back on the field in 2019 due to an ACL injury suffered in the offseason.

With Mayfield entrenched at right tackle, we could see Stueber move inside in 2020, as the Wolverines work to get the best five players on the field. We do believe Stueber is that. But we just don’t know as of right now where he projects at the NFL level.

He has a lot to prove, and has 2-3 years of eligibility remaining, depending on his NCAA waiver situation. We think he could go a lot higher, given Warinner’s track record with the position, even beyond his tenure at Michigan. But Stueber has to prove it, which could take some time.

Where we see him as of now?

Seventh-round or UDFA.
