Power Ranking: Michigan football future NFL draft potential

Where we envision the current crop of Wolverines to be drafted as of today if not much changes between now and next year.

15. Quinn Nordin

michigan kicker

Nordin being so low on this list has nothing to do with his potential and everything to do with his position,

Naturally, it hasn’t helped him that he’s been erratic at times, and 2019 saw him split duties with Jake Moody for most of the year. However, he seemed to overcome much of his mental blocks as the year progressed, reminding fans just how big his leg is and how good he can be when tuned in.

Kickers are rarely chosen early in the NFL draft, so he’s all but assured to be a day-three pick, if selected. He’ll need a season where he capitalizes on his 2019 finish against Alabama, all while not missing extra points or seemingly obvious makes.

With the body of a linebacker and as big of a leg as we’ve seen come through Michigan — though Moody is no slouch in that department either — Nordin could be the Wolverines first specialist pick since punter Zoltan Mesko was selected in the fifth-round of the 2010 draft.

Where we see him as of now?

Sixth-round.
