Oklahoma State at West Virginia: Three things you need to know
1. Cowboys RB Chuba Hubbard leads the Big 12 with 1,726 rushing yards and a total of 20 touchdowns. The yardage total is tops in the FBS.
2. Oklahoma State took a big hit with WR Tylan Wallace (knee) out for the season due to a knee injury.
3. West Virginia ranks 115th in total yards (328.6) and 129th in rushing yards (76.7) per contest. Defensively, WVU ranks 101st in passing yards allowed (253.9) and tied for 88th in points allowed (30.9).

Prediction
Oklahoma 34, West Virginia 23
Moneyline (ML)
Oklahoma State (-250) is a bit pricey, especially for a team playing without its leading receiver while on the road. But you can’t trust West Virginia (+205) despite its upset win over K-State last week to keep its bowl hopes alive.
New to sports betting? A $10 wager on Oklahoma State to win would return a profit of $4.00.
Against the Spread (ATS)
OKLAHOMA STATE (-6.5, -115) is a tempting play as a favorite by less than a touchdown. The Cowboys have one of the top running backs in the nation, and the Mountaineers are tied for 74th against the run, allowing 167.1 yards per game. That’s where this game will be won.
Over/Under (O/U)
PASS. The over/under (55.5) is going to be too close to call in this one. The Cowboys have a prolific offense, but with Wallace missing they won’t be hitting on all cylinders. The West Virginia offense is also a concern, having been inconsistent and just marginal all season.

A behind-the-scenes look LaMelo Ball’s crazy life with Mirin Fader
Mirin Fader spent two weeks with LaMelo Ball in Australia and wrote a piece about his life. She discusses all things LaMelo on this podcast.
On this episode of The HoopsHype Podcast, Alex Kennedy is joined by Mirin Fader of Bleacher Report. She recently wrote a fantastic, in-depth piece about LaMelo Ball’s life. Alex and Mirin discuss how LaMelo has dealt with fame, his experience overseas, how he feels like people see him as “a dollar sign” rather than a person, his relationships with LaVar Ball and Lonzo Ball and more. Time-stamps are below!
1:00: Mirin spent three weeks in Lithuania with LaMelo and the Ball family last year, and then spent two weeks with them in Australia for this new piece. She talks about how this latest article came together.
2:05: Mirin talks about how she picks who she’s going to profile and what that process is like from reporting to writing.
5:00: Having spent time around LaMelo in Lithuania and Australia, how has his life changed over the last year? Mirin was curious to find out.
6:40: LaMelo started signing autographs at 5 years old and he says he can’t remember a time when he wasn’t in the spotlight. Alex and Mirin talk about how he was essentially a child star and how he has handled that kind of crazy existence.
8:40: LaVar Ball pushed all three of his sons to be professional basketball players. In Mirin’s piece, LaMelo said, “All my life, I felt like I was just supposed to go to the NBA.” He also talked about how his father pushed him away from any other career path. Does LaMelo love the game and will he be happy in the NBA, or is he just doing this to please others?
11:10: At one point, LaMelo said something very sad to Mirin: “People don’t look at you as a human. People look at you as a dollar sign.” And his manager, former NBA player Jermaine Jackson, told her, “People done made money off this kid for years… It’s damn near like he’s a prostitute.” Does this affect his relationships and ability to trust other people?
14:15: Mirin talks about the sacrifices LaMelo has made and how he’s been forced to grow up quicker than his peers.
16:15: LaMelo told Mirin that he always wanted to finish high school and spend one year at USC, but his father forced him to go to Lithuania. LaVar hasn’t been as visible recently, which seems intentional. Is he still as involved when it comes to LaMelo’s career?
19:50: Mirin talks about how LaMelo’s relationship with Lonzo seems to have changed, to the point that LaMelo said he doesn’t really get advice from Lonzo these days.
21:40: Lonzo seems fed up with Big Baller Brand. Does LaMelo have similar concerns and does anyone know the status of BBB right now?
23:55: What is LiAngelo Ball up to these days? What does the future hold for him?
26:35: Mirin wrote that LaMelo doesn’t want to do the “Ball in the Family” reality show and drags when he’s asked to film scenes. How is he handling that distraction and having so much of his life play out on a reality show?
29:00: Alex and Mirin talk about how different LaVar is from his sons.
33:14: Mirin talks about the competition in the NBL and whether LaMelo is being challenged and truly helping his development.
35:55: Will more players take the NBL route in the future, especially if LaMelo and RJ Hampton get drafted high in the 2020 NBA Draft?

Texas A&M at Georgia odds, picks and best bets
Previewing Saturday’s Texas A&M Aggies at Georgia Bulldogs betting odds and lines, with college football analysis, picks and best bets.
The Texas A&M Aggies (7-3, 4-2 SEC West) and Georgia Bulldogs (9-1, 6-1 SEC East) square off between the hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday. We analyze the Texas A&M-Georgia odds and betting lines, while providing college football betting tips and advice on this matchup.
Texas A&M at Georgia: Three things you need to know
1. The Aggies rank a respectable 25th in total defense, allowing 327.9 yards per game, and they’re 23rd in points allowed (20.3 PPG).
2. Georgia RB D’Andre Swift has rolled up 1,027 rushing yards and eight total touchdowns.

Prediction
Georgia 31, Texas A&M 14
Moneyline (ML)
Georgia (-556) looks to keep hope alive for a spot in the College Football Playoff, but it has no room for error. While the Bulldogs will win this game, risking more than five times the potential winnings is just not worth it. A&M (+395) isn’t going to pull the upset, so save the money.
New to sports betting? A $10 wager on Georgia to win would return a profit of $1.80.
Against the Spread (ATS)
GEORGIA (-13.5, -110) is an attractive play at less than two touchdowns. Even at a flat 14 the Dawgs aren’t a bad play if the line moves up by Saturday.
Texas A&M (+13.5, -110) has a decent passing attack, and they are 11-5 ATS in the past 16 against winning teams. However, UGA is 14-5 ATS in the past 19 against winning teams and 20-8 ATS in the past 28 SEC battles. Look for UGA to keep it rolling.
Over/Under (O/U)
PASS. The projected total of 45.5 is going to be super close. If I were to lean one way, I’d say Under (-139). The Under is 5-0 in UGA’s past five overall, and 26-9-2 in the past 37 in Athens. The Under is also 5-1 in A&M’s past six on the road. However, with big-time QBs like Jake Fromm, Kellen Mond and Swift, it could easily go Over, too.

The Tennessee Volunteers basketball program — both men and women — remain unbeaten after after the guys handily defeated the Alabama State Hornets last night, keeping Vols athletics on its current roll. Coming up this weekend, the football team will get its chance to continue the winning trend when it faces the Missouri Tigers on the road, and the swimming and diving team hosts the Tennessee Invitational over the course of three days beginning today. There is plenty on tap as the week winds down for Vols fans, and the teams are ready.
Vols are practicing at their best
The biggest news on the gridiron has been the Vols’ preparation for what amounts to a must-win game if Tennessee wants to keep its bowl hopes alive. According to head coach Jeremy Pruitt, the boys are putting in the work, and it appears to be paying off.
“The last two days have been our best practices all year here in the season and I like the way we practice. Our guys seem to be gaining some confidence, and I’m talking about confidence in what they’re doing. That comes with age and experience. We’ve got to take it from the practice field and take it to a Saturday.”
Pruitt added that the bye week allowed players who have been banged up a little more time to get back up to speed.
“We got guys that our banged up from the last game, but having a week off we tried to get them ready to play, but at the same time use common sense. There might be a couple of guys that might be a little bit limited, but we should have everybody ready to play.”
This news should be extremely encouraging to Vols fans, as the team appears to be peaking as the season wanes. Hopefully, the fruits of UT’s labors will be reaped on Saturday.

Vikings DE Everson Griffen ranks 3rd in Comeback Player of the Year candidates
With 73.5 career sacks, Griffen ranks fourth in team history and 12 behind Jared Allen for third.
After a rocky 2018 season in which Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen missed five games due to mental health (good job by him for getting help, by the way), he appears to be back, and better, in 2019.
In 2019, the 31-year-old three-time Pro Bowler has 36 tackles and seven sacks through 11 games. He’s on pace for 10 sacks, which would mark his fourth season with 10 or more sacks.
Chris Wesseling over at NFL.com ranked his top-10 Comeback Player candidates and Griffen ranked third.
Griffen has 58 quarterback disruptions, a mark that ranks second only to teammate Danielle Hunter, who has 71.
Per Pro Football Focus, Griffen ranks as the league’s 15th edge player with a grade of 84.6. That’s the best mark of his career and a 16.6-point improvement from last season.
With 73.5 career sacks, Griffen ranks fourth in team history and 12 behind Jared Allen for third.
Hunter, on the other hand, already has 48.5 career sacks, a mark that ranks 10th.
