Tight End – Jake Butt
Okay, this one is mostly due to us knowing what Butt can do.
The former Mackey Award-winning tight end had problems with his ACL in college — having torn it once early, and again in his final appearance in a winged helmet. But he’s had such bad luck still in the NFL, having torn it again with the Denver Broncos, just as his career was getting started. As a result, Butt has only appeared in three games, all as a starter. But he’s only reeled in eight receptions for 85 yards.
Zach Gentry is still on the Steelers and Sean McKeon signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. But Butt cemented himself as perhaps the best Michigan TE of all time, given his career in Ann Arbor.
If he can stay healthy, we’d be glad to have him as our starter on our Michigan NFL team.
