If Michigan was fielding a starting team based on current NFL players, here’s what it would look like

Creating something of a fantasy football situation selecting from nearly 40 Wolverines who are currently on NFL rosters to form a team.

Outside Linebacker – Rashan Gary

Okay, so it’s not technically cheating, because Green Bay’s former first-round draft pick is technically a linebacker there. But Michigan fans know Gary primarily as an anchor, setting the edge on one side while the other end rushes the passer.

Gary didn’t put up big numbers in Ann Arbor, but he was still worthy of being selected so high by the Packers. He’s a freak athlete, but seemingly needs some time to get acclimated to the pro game. While he appeared in all 16 games last year, Gary started in none of them, often not coming in until later. He still managed 21 tackles and two sacks, but he is playing a different role as an outside linebacker after an entire career at defensive end.

However, our next selection is perhaps just as obvious as our Brady selection.
