If Michigan was fielding a starting team based on current NFL players, here’s what it would look like

Creating something of a fantasy football situation selecting from nearly 40 Wolverines who are currently on NFL rosters to form a team.

Running Back – Karan Higdon

This isn’t to demean Karan Higdon, who had a solid career in Ann Arbor, but he’s literally the only option available at running back from the Wolverines currently in the NFL. An odd thing, given all of the big-time tailbacks who have come through Ann Arbor to go on to the NFL.

Higdon hasn’t made any game appearances as of yet in the NFL and has spent the last two seasons on the Houston Texans practice squad. He’s currently signed to a futures/reserve contract.

Still, we know Higdon can play, and given what he was able to do in Ann Arbor, amassing 1,000 yards his senior season after coming in just six yards short in his junior year, we think that our only choice is still a good one.
