If Michigan was fielding a starting team based on current NFL players, here’s what it would look like

Creating something of a fantasy football situation selecting from nearly 40 Wolverines who are currently on NFL rosters to form a team.

Safety – Jabrill Peppers

He did everything at Michigan. Where do we start?

In two-plus years — Peppers was injured in his first game in his first year and only had three appearances — he managed 119 tackles with 18.5 for loss, three sacks and one interception. He also returned 18 kicks for 483 yards and 39 punts for 510 yards and a touchdown. He also played on the offensive side of the ball as a running back, wide receiver and wildcat quarterback. He had 49 rushing attempts for 239 yards and five touchdowns as well as 10 pass receptions for 82 yards.

In the NFL, Peppers moved back to his native safety after being a VIPER for Michigan. He’s started in all 40 game appearances, playing both free safety and strong safety, for the Browns and then the Giants. In three seasons, he has 213 tackles with 11 for loss, one sack and three interceptions. He continues to return punts and kicks, where he’s managed 749 yards on 34 kick returns and 448 yards on 59 punt returns.

He’s another no-brainer to have on the Michigan NFL team.
