How the results of the draft affect former Badgers in the NFL

Much has been written about the five former Badgers that made it to the NFL last week–Jonathan Taylor, Zack Baun, Tyler Biadasz…

Deiter is one of the players most affected by last week’s draft as the Dolphins used a second and fourth-round pick on offensive guards.

The first, Robert Hunt from Louisiana-Lafayette, will be a Day-1 starter at guard while the second, Solomon Kindley from Georgia, will probably start off as a depth option.

No matter how you look at it, though, the Dolphins using two high picks on guards, a first-round pick on an offensive tackle and signing former-Giant Ereck Flowers in free agency is not good news for Deiter’s chances at starting in 2020.

The current depth chart in Miami projects to have Deiter as one of the team’s backups at guard with all five offensive line positions set to have different starters from a year ago.
