Georgia’s offense is replacing Lawrence Cager after he was undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. George Pickens is the clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver in 2020, but beyond him Georgia will have competition at the position.

Grant played running back and defense in high school for Cairo. He played running back during Georgia’s spring drills last season, but never played offense during a game.

Grant will be a part of Georgia’s stacked linebacker core. The Dawgs have Jermaine Johnson, Azeez Ojulari, Adam Anderson, Nolan Smith, Robert Beal, and more returning at outside linebacker. Grant is a key special teams player for the Bulldogs as well.

UGA football player card: TE Kolby Wyatt

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Kolby Wyatt started out his career at UGA as a defensive lineman, but switched numbers and positions.

Kolby Wyatt, Tight End (#82):

Class: Junior

Height: 6-4

Weight: 215 pounds

Hometown: San Diego, California

High School: Shiloh High School

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Kolby Wyatt started out his career at UGA as a defensive lineman, but switched numbers and positions last season. He used to wear number ninety-one.

Wyatt redshirted in 2017 and saw his first action in 2018 as a defensive lineman. He played in three games last season.

Wyatt will compete for playing time among returning tight ends behind John Fitzpatrick. Georgia additionally added Florida State transfer Tre’ McKitty and 2020 five-star TE Darnell Washington this offseason.

McKitty racked up 520 yards over the last two seasons at FSU.

Will Wyatt be able to earn playing time this season? His experience in the trenches could make him a solid blocker.

He’ll face a battle to play, but should provide quality depth this season.

UGA football player card: WR Jaylen Johnson

Georgia Bulldogs WR Jaylen Johnson went viral following a small act of kindness.

Jaylen Johnson, Wide Receiver (#81):

Class: Redshirt Sophomore

Height: 6-2

Weight: 192 pounds

Hometown: Duluth, Georgia

High School: Peachtree High School

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Jaylen Johnson came to Athens as an unheralded recruit. The six-foot-two target walked on to the football team as a freshman in 2018. Throughout the 2018 season he was a fixture on the scout team.

Last season Johnson played in three games against: Georgia Tech, Murray State, and Arkansas State. He’ll look to carve out a larger role with the team in 2020.

Georgia’s offense is replacing Lawrence Cager after he was undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. George Pickens is the clear cut number one wide receiver in 2020, but beyond him Georgia will have lots of competition at the position.

Johnson’s small act of kindness during this offseason went viral:

UGA football player card: OL Owen Condon

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Owen Condon has seen action in four games throughout his career at UGA.

Owen Condon, Offensive Line (#75):

Class: Redshirt Sophomore

Height: 6-7

Weight: 310 pounds

Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

High School: Bishop McGuinness High School

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Owen Condon came to the University of Georgia as a three-star recruit. Condon redshirted as a freshman in 2018. He played in only one game last season, against Arkansas State. He saw 15 snaps n that contest.

Condon will compete with Xavier Truss, Jamaree Salyer, Warren Ericson, Justin Shaffer, Warren McClendon, Broderick Jones, and more for playing time. Condon is projected to be a depth player next season, but don’t count him out. He’s got great size at six-foot-seven and Georgia lost several starters along the offensive front from last season.

Georgia Bulldogs offensive line coach Matt Luke isn’t short on talent despite losing three players to the 2020 NFL Draft. Condon did pick up some experience as a freshman, where he played in three games.

Condon signed with the Dawgs back in 2017:

UGA football player card: OL Ben Cleveland

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Ben Cleveland is among the most experienced returning members of UGA’s talented offensive front.

Ben Cleveland, Offensive Line (#74):

Class: Senior

Height: 6-6

Weight: 335 pounds

Hometown: Toccoa, Georgia

High School: Stephens County High School

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Ben Cleveland is among the most experienced returning members of UGA’s talented offensive front. Cleveland has played in 36 total games over his three seasons in Georgia. Cleveland redshirted as a freshman back in 2016. Cleveland started at right guard in seven games last season.

Cleveland will be the strongest player on Georgia’s team next season. He’s a player to watch at the 2021 NFL Combine. Cleveland is a freak athlete and will be worth watching on the bench press, where he should crush it.

Cleveland will compete with Xavier Truss, Jamaree Salyer, Warren Ericson, Justin Shaffer, Warren McClendon, Broderick Jones, and more for a starting role in 2020. Fans should expect Cleveland to be a starter next season. The main question is where?

Georgia Bulldogs offensive line coach Matt Luke isn’t short on talent despite losing three players to the 2020 NFL Draft. Cleveland will help Georgia fill in the experience lost from last season. He missed the 2020 Sugar Bowl against Baylor due to academic issues, but he gave the Dawgs a big boost with his return for his senior season.

UGA football player card: OL Xavier Truss

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Xavier Truss came to Athens all the way from Rhode Island.

Xavier Truss, Offensive Line (#73):

Class: Redshirt freshman

Height: 6-7

Weight: 330 pounds

Hometown: Warwick, Rhode Island

High School: Bishop Hendricken High School

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Xavier Truss came to Athens all the way from Warwick, Rhode Island. Truss was the state’s top recruit in his class as a four-star offensive tackle.

Truss will look to earn more playing time next season. He’ll face talented recruits in competition along the offensive line, but he could end up as a starter at offensive tackle. Truss will compete with the likes of Ben Cleveland, Jamaree Salyer, Warren Ericson, Justin Shaffer, Warren McClendon, Broderick Jones, and more for a starting role in 2020.

Georgia Bulldogs offensive line coach Matt Luke isn’t short on talent despite losing three players to the 2020 NFL Draft. Truss played in three games last season, but not against the Baylor Bears, which is interesting because the Dawgs were without their top offensive tackles for that contest.

Here’s how Truss committed to UGA:

UGA football player card: DL Netori Johnson

Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Netori Johnson will look to break out during his junior season after undergoing a position change.

Netori Johnson, defensive lineman (#72):

Class: Junior

Height: 6-4

Weight: 320 pounds

Hometown: Ellenwood, Georgia

High School: Cedar Grove High School

Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Netori Johnson will look to break out during his junior season. Why may Johnson be able to breakout? He switched positions to end the 2018 season and now has more experience on the defensive side of the football.

Johnson was impactful in limited playing time last season, where he played in four games. Johnson racked up a sack against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and secured a fourth down stop against Murray State.

Johnson will have to battle some talented players to see playing time along  Georgia’s top-rated 2019 rushing and scoring defense. The former four-star prospect has the talent to break into the line up. The Cedar Grove High School product redshirted as a freshman during the 2017 season.

Here’s Johnson’s big sack from last season:

UGA football player card: OL Warren McClendon

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Warren McClendon played in four games as a freshman last season

Warren McClendon, Offensive Line (#70):

Class: Redshirt freshman

Height: 6-4

Weight: 320 pounds

Hometown: Brunswick, Georgia

High School: Brunswick High School

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Warren McClendon played in four games as a freshman last season, so he was able to redshirt. McClendon came to the University of Georgia from Brunswick High School.

The talented offensive tackle had several ties to Georgia before coming to Athens. His cousin, Bryan McClendon, was an assistant and interim coach at Georgia before heading to Oregon this past offseason. His uncle, Willie, was an All-SEC running back at Georgia in the late 1970s.

McClendon has a serious chance to earn playing time next season. He’ll face stout competition along the offensive line, but he could end up as a starter. McClendon is primarily considered a tackle, but could additionally be used as an offensive guard. He’ll compete with the likes of Ben Cleveland, Jamaree Salyer, Warren Ericson, Justin Shaffer, Xavier Truss, Broderick Jones, and more for a starting role in 2020.

Georgia Bulldogs offensive line coach Matt Luke isn’t short on talent despite losing three players to the 2020 NFL Draft.

Georgia football player card: LS William Mote

Georgia Bulldogs long snapper William Mote has the potential to be one of the more important players on the football team

William Mote, Long Snapper (#56):

Class: Redshirt Freshman

Height: 6-2

Weight: 230 pounds

Hometown: Hoover, Alabama

High School: Spain Park High School

Georgia Bulldogs long snapper William Mote has the potential to be one of the more important players on the football team. He’s currently the back-up long snapper behind Payne Walker.

Long snappers rarely play positions outside of their specialty. Mote is one injury away from being an important player. He’ll compete with Payne Walker for the starting job next season.

Georgia’s special teams will have a different look without Rodrigo Blankenship. Both Walker and Mote will be snapping for a new kicker, Jared Zirkel, next season.

Mote has been putting in some work this offseason.
