P.J. Tucker joined the Longhorns in 2003 and would remain in Austin until 2006. He was named second-team All-American in his junior year and also took home Big 12 Player of the Year honors. During his freshman season on the Forty Acres, Tucker was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team. He would be selected by the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft.

Tucker bounced around in the International leagues after a one-year stint in the NBA where he excelled overseas. He would return to the NBA in 2012 with the Phoenix Suns. In 2017 he was dealt to the Raptors and then left for Houston during the offseason. During his NBA career, Tucker has averaged 7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
