An NBA team composed of only Texas Longhorns

What would an NBA team look like if it was only composed of former Texas Longhorns currently in the NBA? Here is our starting five.

Kevin Durant, Forward, Brooklyn Nets

Kevin Durant is one of the most recognizable players in the NBA and the one of the biggest names to play in Austin. Durant only played one year for Texas but had his number 35 jersey retired. He was named National College Player of the Year, Big 12 Player of the year and All-American in 2007. He was the first freshman to earn any player of the year honors. He was selected second overall by the Seattle Supersonics (now Oklahoma City Thunder).

Durant has won three gold medals as part of Team USA basketball. He has a long list of accolades that include joining the 50-40-90 club. Which means he shot 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three and 90 percent from the free throw line. There are only eight members to that elite group including Dirk Nowitzki, Larry Bird, Steve Nash and Steph Curry.

During his career he has been named NBA Finals MVP twice, NBA MVP (2014), 10-time All Star, six time All-NBA first team, three time second team All-NBA, four-time scoring champ and NBA Rookie of the Year. He has averaged 27 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Next is the Center.
