12 under-the-radar free agents for the Bills to target on offense

The NFL’s free agency period is slated to open on March 18 and the Buffalo Bills could be in business. The Bills signed cornerback Josh Norman last week, getting a head start on things.

Another potential veteran running back the Bills might take a look at could be Chris Thompson. At 29, he’s never been a team’s bell-cow rusher, but the Bills have shown in recent years that they’re not scared to add an older running back.

Thompson is a versatile player, having plenty of success in the passing game in his career. Throughout his career, he has a 74.6 percent catch percent and the Bills simply need more playmakers that can catch.

The 5-foot-8 back isn’t the biggest guy, but could complement Singletary well. He had 42 catches alone last season, but he hasn’t carried the ball more than 68 times in a single season. Then again, that shows the tread on his tires for a 29 years old might not be terrible… he does have some injury concerns as well, though.
