12 under-the-radar free agents for the Bills to target on offense

The NFL’s free agency period is slated to open on March 18 and the Buffalo Bills could be in business. The Bills signed cornerback Josh Norman last week, getting a head start on things.

RB Ty Montgomery

They don’t get much more versatile than Ty Montgomery. The running back/ wide receiver would be a Swiss army knife you can bet Buffalo offense coordinator Brian Daboll would do some things with.

Montgomery has jumped around the NFL, but the 27-year-old could be a bigger option for the Bills in their backfield to pair with Devin Singletary. Montgomery has a 6-foot, 216 pound frame and is known for getting yards after contact. Last season, he didn’t really have a great year and will be looking for a bounce-back chance. The Jets’ ineptitude on offense really held him back, but from 2016 to 2018 with the Packers, Montgomery showed his value as both a rusher and receiver.

In his career, Montgomery has averaged 3.9 yards per carry with seven rushing scores. He’s added another three scores in the air via 120 catches and 982 receiving yards.
