WATCH: Former Texas WR Devin Duvernay impresses at Ravens camp

Former Texas wide receiver Devin Duvernay is turning heads at Ravens camp.

Former Texas wide receiver Devin Duvernay was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 92 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The speedster is expected to contribute immediately in the slot for quarterback Lamar Jackson. Duvernay left a significant void to fill at Texas, considering he accounted for 1,342 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

His consistency and competitive nature were admirable. Duvernay never missed a single game throughout his four-year collegiate career. In 2019, he led the Big 12 receivers in catches, catches per game, receiving yards and receiving yards per game.

The Ravens are fortunate to already be witnessing highlight reels of Duvernay throughout camp.

Duvernay is wearing the No. 13 jersey and is seen catching a deep ball from Jackson in practice. In 2019, the Ravens led the NFL in points per game, passing touchdowns and rushing yards.

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh couldn’t contain his excitement to his team being able to draft Duvernay in the third round. It’s likely he will see the field early and often as a rookie, but where will be fall on the depth chart

Duvernay will be competing for snaps behind Willie Snead, Marquise Brown, Seth Roberts, and Miles Boykin. However, Duvernay could realistically climb up to as high as No. 2 on the depth chart.

His speed, quickness, and explosiveness make him tough to cover. When you combine that with great hands and lower body strength, who can stop him?
