Twitter reacts to the Chicago Bears selecting Texas RB Roschon Johnson

Roschon Johnson was a steal in the fourth round and many teams were targeting him.

Texas running back Roschon Johnson was taken off the board with the No. 115 pick in the 2023 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears.

Johnson was the second running back from Texas to hear his name called in the draft, joining Bijan Robinson who was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round. It’s the first time Texas has had two running backs picked in the same draft since 1982.

The former Longhorn was considered one of the top overall prospects available on Day 3. Shortly before the draft began, ESPN’s Matt Miller tabbed Johnson as his “pound the table for” player in the third round.

When Johnson reached the fourth round, many NFL organizations targeted the versatile and hard-nosed running back who excels in pass protection and special teams.

Chicago certainly received a steal by landing Johnson, who could easily outplay his draft slot. Other NFL fans across the league, primarily of the Dallas Cowboys, were heartbroken to see Johnson taken off the board just picks before Dallas was on the clock.

Here’s a look at Twitter reactions to Johnson being selected by the Bears on Saturday.
