The top 10 in-state recruits and where Texas stands with them

Tom Herman and UT have made in-state recruiting a priority. Here are the top 10 in-state recruits and where Texas stands with each of them:

No. 7 – L.J. Johnson

Hometown: Cypress

Position: Running back

Commitment: None

Analysis: Texas’ running back room was sealed during the last recruiting cycle when five-star Bijan Robinson signed his letter of intent. For now, the Longhorns will have not only depth in the backfield but quality throughout. Johnson seems as if he is going to be in College Station, helping Jimbo Fisher fix Texas A&M depleted backfield.
