The many 2019 player disappointments for the Cardinals

There some bright spots, but there were nearly a dozen players who didn’t work out the way they were expected to.

Suggs and Chandler Jones were supposed to be a feared pass-rushing duo. After two sacks in the season opener, it appeared Suggs would be an impact player. He had half a sack after Week 6 and there were three games before he was released in which he didn’t even have a single tackle.

He looked washed up. After seven sacks in 2018, the belief was he might be able to get at least that many and perhaps in double digits, playing opposite of Chandler Jones.

Instead, he was released late in the season when he no longer fit and was going to lose playing time to younger players.
