The many 2019 player disappointments for the Cardinals

There some bright spots, but there were nearly a dozen players who didn’t work out the way they were expected to.

CB Robert Alford

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Alford is a different disappointment. His play wasn’t disappointing and he didn’t mess up off the field. He broke his leg in practice in training camp and missed the entire season. He wasn’t disappointing but his absence was because he was supposed to be the No. 1 cornerback while Patrick Peterson was suspended and then a solid No. 2 upon his return. Instead, the Cardinals had to go through Tramaine Brock, Byron Murphy, Chris Jones and Kevin Peterson at the position.
