The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs 31-24 in a game that was more competitive than anticipated. Mississippi State came into the game missing key players at numerous positions and played one of their best games of the season in defeat.
Georgia’s defense got off to a slow start, but the Bulldogs disrupted the Mississippi State offense on third downs in the second half to help secure the win. Azeez Ojulari ended the hopes of Mississippi State with a fourth down sack.
The story of the game has to be Georgia quarterback JT Daniels, who excelled throughout the night. Daniels completed numerous deep passes and threw for over 400 yards in debut for the Bulldogs. He didn’t get much support from the Georgia rushing attack either.
Here’s how Georgia Bulldogs football Twitter reacted to the close victory. UGA is now 5-2 on the season.

Don't really give a damn the final score other than Georgia had more than Mississippi State.
More importantly, Georgia found itself a QB. pic.twitter.com/GBw01aIWHA
