Texas A&M flips 4-star Georgia WR commit

The Georgia Bulldogs lost a commitment from class of 2023 wide receiver recruit Raymond Cottrell

The Texas A&M Aggies flipped class of 2023 wide receiver recruit Raymond Cottrell. Cottrell had been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for quite some time, but he signed with Texas A&M according to one of his social media posts.

The four-star plays high school football for Milton High School in Milton, Florida. Cottrell ranks as the No. 148 recruit in the class of 2023. He is considered the No. 24 wide receiver in his class and one of the best recruits in Florida.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound receiver has excellent size and is Texas A&M’s 19th commitment in the class of 2023.

Cottrell’s decommitment brings Georgia’s recruiting class down to 26 players. However, Kirby Smart and Georgia have signed three other wide receivers. Additionally, Georgia landed a pair of extremely talented receivers via the transfer portal: Rara Thomas and Dominic Lovett. Georgia has the No. 2 recruiting class in the country behind Alabama.

Cottrell announced his commitment to Texas A&M via Twitter:

UGA football flips another 4-star: DB Julian Humphrey

Kirby Smart and UGA have flipped former Florida commitment Julian Humphrey, a 4-star class of 2022 DB.

Four-star defensive back recruit Julian Humphrey has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs football program after previously being committed to the Florida Gators.

Julian ‘Julio’ Humphrey, a four-star class of 2022 cornerback, committed to UGA over LSU and Texas A&M.

Humphrey, who ranks as the nation’s No. 94 overall recruit and No. 12 cornerback, backed off his commitment to Florida in October. He was favored to commit to UGA.

It is yet another win for Georgia over the Gators for Kirby Smart. Georgia dominated Florida 34-7 on Oct. 30, and Florida lost an ugly 40-17 game to South Carolina last week.

Georgia Bulldogs also flipped class of 2023 wide receiver recruit Raymond Cottrell from Dan Mullen and Florida earlier this week.

The Dawgs have the No. 2 recruiting class in the country behind Alabama. Dan Mullen and Florida have the No. 22 class of 2022.

Humphrey plays for Clear Lake High School in Texas. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback out of Houston, Texas, brought a bulldog to the ceremony when he announced his commitment to UGA.

Humphrey visited Georgia on Oct. 1, the weekend UGA hosted Arkansas. The four-star defensive back also recently visited Texas A&M.

Humphrey is another example of Kirby Smart and Jimbo Fisher battling on the recruiting trail in the class of 2022.

Dan Mullen and UF also recently lost a commitment from four-star linebacker Shemar James, the No. 70 player in the nation. James is considering Georgia and Alabama. Things seem to be unraveling right now for the Florida Gators.

4-Star cornerback Julian Humphrey is ready to commit

Kirby Smart and UGA are looking to flip former Florida commitment Julian Humphrey, who is near a decision.

Four-star defensive back recruit Julian Humphrey is ready to make his commitment. Humphrey announced his decision will come sometime between Nov. 8 and Nov. 14 via Twitter.

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top three schools for former Florida Gators commit Julian ‘Julio’ Humphrey. The four-star class of 2022 cornerback puts UGA, LSU and Texas A&M in his top schools.

Where will Humphrey go? It would be surprising to see him sign early with LSU considering the situation surrounding the program (coach Ed Orgeron is leaving after the season). LSU has an excellent reputation with their ability to develop and recruit defensive backs, so they should not be counted out.

Humphrey, who ranks as the nation’s No. 94 overall recruit and No. 12 cornerback, backed off his commitment to Florida in October. He is favored to commit to UGA.

If Humphrey commits to Georgia, then it would be yet another win over the Gators for Kirby Smart. Georgia dominated Florida 34-7 on Oct. 30. Florida just lost again to South Carolina in a game that was not close.

The Dawgs have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. Dan Mullen and Florida have the No. 22 class of 2022.

Humphrey plays for Clear Lake High School in Texas. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback out of Houston, Texas, recently announced his top three schools via Twitter.

Humphrey visited Georgia on Oct. 1, the weekend UGA hosted Arkansas. The four-star defensive back visited Texas A&M recently, too. The Aggies appear to be Kirby Smart’s main competition in landing a commitment from Humphrey.

Kirby Smart and Jimbo Fisher have been battling along the recruiting trail a lot in the class of 2022.

Dan Mullen and UF also recently lost a commitment from four-star linebacker Shemar James, the No. 70 player in the nation. Things seem to be unraveling right now for the Gators.

5-star DT Bear Alexander names top two schools

5-star DT Bear Alexander names top two schools: UGA and Texas A&M

The Georgia Bulldogs lost a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Bear Alexander several months ago. Now, the talented defensive tackle has named his top two of Georgia and Texas A&M.

Alexander is a senior at Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. Last season, Ryan High School went 15-0 and won a Texas state title in dominant fashion.

Alexander is a member of the class of 2022 and has offers from major college football programs, including Miami, UNC, Michigan, USC, Auburn and Oregon.

The five-star defensive tackle is reconsidered his recruitment after he visited Georgia and Texas A&M. Alexander visited Miami, but they did not make his top two.

Alexander ranks 30th in his class and sixth among defensive linemen. The 6-foot-3, 325-pound lineman is a top recruiting target for Georgia and Texas A&M.

Kirby Smart and Jimbo Fisher are in a few recruiting battles at the moment. Fisher won a commitment from former UGA commit Deyon Bouie and is trying to land one from Alexander.

Alexander announced his final two schools via his Twitter account:

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top five schools for Dontae Manning. Manning is a 2020 four-star cornerback from Kansas City, Missouri. He plays for Raytown High School.

Today, Manning announced his top five schools (Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon, Arizona State, and Texas A&M) via Twitter:

Georgia offered Manning this July. The four-star corner is expected to take an official visit to Athens the 13th of December. The early-signing period ends the 18th of December, so it’d be one of Manning’s last visits before that date.

With the class of 2020 signing day approaching soon, the Bulldogs are still in the hunt for several prospects. Georgia currently has sixteen commitments and is looking to add more talented recruits to the class of 2020.

Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are also in the mix for five-star corner Kelee Ringo. Ringo is projected to pick UGA.
