Florida vs. Kentucky: Tipico’s Monday betting odds for Week 2 matchup

Here’s are the betting odds for this Saturday’s matchup to kick off the new week.

Florida football got off to a strong start in its season opener against the Utah Utes last Saturday, in which the Orange and Blue put up a gritty fight and prevailed, 29-26. The victory represents the first for the program in the new Billy Napier era while extending the Gators’ longest-active home-opener win streak in the FBS, which now stands at 33-straight games.

With the big win now in the rearview mirror, Napier and Co. turn their attention to their SEC opener against the Kentucky Wildcats at home this coming Saturday. The ‘Cats, led by Heisman Trophy hopeful quarterback Will Levis, represent another top-25 matchup for the Gators that will test their revamped squad.

Coming off a loss in Lexington last season, Florida looks to even the score on its home turf. Take a look below at how the Tipico Sportsbook sees things with a few days still ahead.

The Tipico Sportsbook favors the Gators by four points over the Wildcats to start the week. Here are the full odds as of 10:45 a.m. EDT Monday.

Penn State vs. Ohio: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet

The odds for Penn Stae’s home opener against Ohio are out from Tipico, and the Nittany Lions are a solid home favorite.

After an exciting start to the 2022 college football season, Penn State prepares for its home opener in Beaver Stadium in Week 2. This week the Nittany Lions will host the Ohio Bobcats out of the MAC as Ohio is also coming off a thrilling start to their season. Ohio held on to a lead in their 2022 debut in Week 1 against FAU for a 41-38 victory in which quarterback Kurtis Rourke passed for 345 yards and four touchdowns.

Penn State’s secondary will have to be up to the task as Ohio comes in ready to throw the football all around the field. Penn State is also hoping to clean up a few areas of concern after its season opener at Purdue, including the stability of the offensive line and the effectiveness of the running game.

Perhaps not too surprisingly, Penn State will play its home opener as a big favorite against the Bobcats. The opening line from Tipico Sportsbook places plenty of confidence in Penn State in its home opener this Saturday.

Here is a full rundown of the odds for this week’s game.

Point spread: Notre Dame +16.5 Ohio State

Previously earlier this week we reported the spread to be 17.5 and the total to be 58.5, but we have some interesting changes the day of the game. It is no secret that most bets come in during the weekend of the game as more casual fans and squares place their bets, but the spread has no moved through the key number of 17!

Ohio State is now favored by 16.5, which typically means enough money has poured in on the Notre Dame squad to force this change and this is a pretty decent swing in one day considering that it isn’t just one point, but it moves through the key number of 17, which is a much more common point differential.

The total also moved up one point from 58.5 to 59.5, which indicates that money is coming in on the over, but this swing is much less drastic as 59 is a less impactful key number.

This will be interesting to monitor all the way up to game time.

Betting on Ducks: No. 11 Oregon closes as sizable underdog to No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs

Looks like some money has come in late on the Ducks, pushing the final line down in Oregon’s favor.

The Oregon Ducks play the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds, and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

The game starts at 3:30 ET/12:30 PT, and can be seen on ABC and the ESPN App.

For the Ducks, this is going to be a massive test, taking a first-year head coach into a virtual road game against the defending national champions. For Dan Lanning, who will be facing his former team, a jump into the deep end of the pool may be ahead.

The Bulldogs are heavy favorites to make it back to the College Football Playoff this season, and Oregon is going to likely vie for a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game and a hopeful trip to the Rose Bowl when all is said and done. Those season-long bids start on Saturday.

The lines, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook

  • Point spread: Oregon (+16.5), Georgia (-16.5)
  • Money line: Georgia (-750) / Oregon (+520)
  • Over-under: 54.5

Oregon at Georgia injury report:

Ducks

  • OL Jackson Powers-Johnson
  • OL Bram Walden
  • DL Sua’ava Poit
  • DL Macael Afaese
  • LB Jaden Navarrette

Bulldogs

  • OL Tate Ratledge
  • WR Kearis Jackson
  • RB Kendall Milton
  • WR Arian Smith
  • RB Andrew Paul
  • LB Trezman Marshall

Advice and prediction

With an entirely new coaching staff, a new quarterback, and many new and unproven players at skill positions on offense, minimizing mistakes is going to be the name of the game for the Ducks. Going up against one of the best defenses in the nation, getting points on the board is going to be a tough task, and Oregon can’t afford to hand the ball back to the Bulldogs.

For Georgia, a lot of eyes will be on the new players replacing some of the guys drafted to the NFL last year. The Bulldogs aren’t lacking for talent, but it will be interesting to see how cohesive they are in the first game of the year.

Ultimately, I expect Georgia to win this game, but it should be competitive down the stretch. Both teams have great defenses, so it could turn out to be a slug-fest. I like Oregon at +16.5, and the UNDER.

Prediction: Georgia 27, Oregon 20

LSU vs. Florida State: Spread moves again in Saturday betting odds update, final pick

Here’s the final betting odds update from Tipico Sportsbook.

The Tigers will have to wait a bit longer than everyone else to begin their 2022 campaign.

While most of the rest of the country begins play later on Saturday, LSU instead takes on Florida State to begin the [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] era on Sunday night in New Orleans in the only FBS game of the day. With a big-time matchup on tap, the pregame betting odds from Tipico Sportsbook have seen a bit of movement.

LSU was a 2.5-point favorite early in the week before that line ultimately moved to 3.5 in the middle of the week. Now, on the eve of kickoff, the line has moved back down to 2.5.

It’s clear that the money is fairly split between the two teams, and Vegas seems to be predicting a pretty close contest. In my initial picks for the week, I predicted LSU to win by eight, and I’ll stand by the Tigers covering in Kelly’s debut.

We had a great bounce-back night going 3-1 on Friday and combine that with our previous season total, we are 6-6. We need more wins soon, but I love this slate of games today. To recap last night, TCU, Michigan State, and Duke made us money, and Virginia Tech was horrible. Today I feel great and love these double-digit favorites below:

College football Week 1 Friday night best bets

College football Week 1 Friday night @Tipcio best bets

If you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We are diving into our favorite picks against the spread for this Friday night, but if you are looking for more information or to place a bet check out Tipico Sportsbook.

We went a miserable 1-3 last night and combine that with our 2-2 record from the week before we are currently in a bad spot and honestly this Friday slate doesn’t make me see any dollar signs, but I’m not going to not bet, right?

Last night we suffered a tad bit of a bad beat with Purdue as they were in the driver’s seat before everything collapsed, Oklahoma State was winning by an ungodly amount heading into halftime but decided to sink back into neutral in the second half and Pittsburgh won, but not by enough. Thank goodness for Tennessee’s thirst for the blood of MAC opponents.

Let’s dive into Friday night and as a reminder, all ods are provided by Tipico Sportsbook.
