Former UGA football QB transfers to SMU

Former Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter is transferring to the SMU Mustangs

Former Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback John Seter is transferring to the SMU Mustangs. Seter is a junior, who has graduated from UGA and has two years left of eligibility.

John Seter will be immediately eligible for the Mustangs.

Seter hasn’t thrown a pass during game action yet in his career. He completed one pass in 2019’s G-Day game, but that’s all. Seter redshirted as a walk-on in 2017, then played scout team in 2018 at Georgia.

He will look to earn more playing time at SMU. Seter is from Athens, Georgia, and attended Lovejoy High School. Seter is 6-foot-3 and weighs 180 pounds.

Seter also played hockey and lacrosse in high school. Chris Seter, his dad, played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines.

We wish him luck at SMU. He’s one of several Georgia Bulldog walk-ons who are transferring this offseason.
