Texas receives five crystal ball predictions in their favor

Texas is finding success across multiple recruiting classes.

The Longhorns have been hitting the recruiting trail as hard as any program across the country, and they appear to have more good news coming their way.

After seeing Texas’ class take a major leap from around No. 60 in the country to now being a top-25 class, 247Sports analyst Hank South is calling for more. The Texas recruiting insider for Bama247 inserted five crystal ball predictions on Tuesday in favor of Texas for recruits across multiple classes.

Let’s take a look at which recruits Texas is now viewed as the favorite to land in the near future, according to Hank South.

LSU picks up a prediction for 5-star cornerback Desmond Ricks

The Tigers seem to be in a good spot with one of the top prospects in the country.

The three-day early signing period starts Wednesday, and it looks like LSU will have an exceptional class for 2023.

One of the top recruits in the country will announce his commitment on Thursday. Five-star cornerback [autotag]Desmond Ricks[/autotag] is down to his final three schools: LSU, Alabama and Florida.

On Tuesday, LSU insider Billy Embody released a new prediction that Ricks would commit to playing for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] on the Bayou. LSU currently has the No. 5 class in the country according to 247Sports, but Ricks’ commitment could catapult the Tigers into the top three.

Ricks was considered the No. 1 recruit for the class of 2024 until he re-classified for 2023. Kelly made signing Ricks a priority, and because of that, LSU has been the favorite to land him for a long time.

We’ll see if the Tigers can close things out with Ricks.

LSU predicted to flip three-star Cincinnati commit

The Tigers will hope to take advantage of the turmoil at Cincinnati.

Life comes at you fast, especially if you are one of the best high school football players in the country.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the LSU Tigers offered 2023 three-star tight end [autotag]Jackson McGohan[/autotag] on Nov. 29th. Four days after being offered by LSU, it has been predicted to flip the talented athlete from his commitment to Cincinnati to come to the Bayou and don the purple and gold.

McGohan is 6-foot-4, 232 pounds, and he has been committed to the Bearcats since Jan. 19. Things have changed since then, as Luke Fickell has decided to leave Cincinnati to take his talents to Madison, Wisconsin, to be the next head coach of the Badgers.

A 60% prediction isn’t a sure thing, though, so we will just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, the Tigers dropped the SEC Championship Game to Georgia in a lopsided fashion. We will see if that weighs into McGohan’s decision at all.

2024 5-star quarterback receives a prediction for LSU

The Tigers are now the favorite to land Julian Sayin, who is visiting this weekend.

Five-star 2024 quarterback [autotag]Julian Sayin[/autotag] is visiting Baton Rouge for the third time this weekend as the Tigers host the New Mexico Lobos.

On3 recruiting guru Chad Simmons has since predicted that Sayin will commit to LSU. It goes without saying, but this would be a huge pickup for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag]and the LSU staff as Sayin is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 class.

He is a game-changer at quarterback. He can make every throw possible, has great escapability, and shows great awareness. LSU currently has the No. 3 rated class overall in 2024 consisting of five commitments. Most of them are on the defensive side of the ball, but if Sayin were to commit, I’m sure it would sway a lot of decisions for some of the top skill players in the class.

LSU the favorite to land this 5-star receiver

Brown is set to announce his decision on Friday.

[autotag]Jalen Brown[/autotag] is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound five-star wide receiver from Miami where he plays for Gulliver Prep. Brown recently announced that he cut his list of schools down to a final list of five.

LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, Michigan, and Florida State all made the cut for the talented speedster. Brown is scheduled to announce his commitment on Friday.

Brown would be a huge pickup for [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the Tigers coaching staff. He would be the first five-star on an ever-growing list of commits for the 2023 class. He’d also be the second wide receiver commit.

It seems like LSU is prioritizing speed in their recruiting, class because when you look at guys like [autotag]Kyle Parker[/autotag] and Brown, both have the speed to burn. You are looking at two athletes that can turn on the afterburners and leave any defense they face in the dust.
