Following Week 3, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his top-six programs in the nation.

Right now, national championship odds, courtesy of BetMGM, are: Georgia (plus-175), Alabama (plus-200), Ohio State (plus-300), Clemson (plus-1000), USC (plus-1200), Michigan (plus-2500), Oklahoma (plus-4000), Penn State (plus-5000) and Tennessee (plus-5000).

What the College Football Playoff rankings would like look through three weeks

What would your top 25 look like?

Week 3 of the season didn’t disappoint. Most of the teams took care of business, but as always, there were some exciting games. Appalachian State held College Gameday and it won on a hail mary attempt. Washington took care of Michgian State fairly easily, and Texas A&M beat Miami.

The College Football Playoff rankings won’t come out until November 2 after the ninth week of the season.

As we know, those rankings will determine who makes the CFP and those are the only rankings that will matter after that ninth week.

But we are going to do our best to determine if the CFP ranking came out today, after Week 3, what they would look like. The top four are fairly easy to determine, but there are a lot of teams mixed in the top 10 that could rank a variety of different ways.

Here are our CFP top 25 through three weeks.

Good, Bad and Ugly: Best and worst from Florida’s Week 3 win over USF

Here are Gators Wire roundtable’s Good, Bad and Ugly assessments from Florida’s uninspiring win over USF.

Saturday night’s outcome for Florida football was not what the fanbase expected as the South Florida Bulls nearly pulled off a massive upset in the Swamp. However, the Orange and Blue prevailed, 31-28, but not before the damage had been done.

The Gators looked all out of sorts both on offense and defense. For the former, [autotag]Anthony Richardson[/autotag] had his second-straight subpar performance in which he threw a pair of picks, while the defense simply could not find an answer for the Bulls’ running game. The end result was a game that pretty much amounted to a loss despite the mark in the win column.

However, there were a few shining spots — most notably, the Gators’ ground game which carried the team to the promised land while the defense did manage a couple of interceptions along with a forced fumble.

The Gators Wire staff assembled shortly after the game to give their immediate takes in a good, bad and ugly format. Take a look below at each respective member’s immediate reaction to Florida’s ugly victory in the Swamp against USF.

Ranking Big Ten quarterbacks through three weeks

How do you rank the Big Ten quarterbacks?

Week 3 went well for some Big Ten teams like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State. But other teams fell flat on their face: Nebraska, Northwestern, Michigan State, and Purdue.

The entire Big Ten East has started out the season 3-0, save for Michigan State who lost Saturday night to Washington. But teams like Rutgers and Indiana — who usually don’t get off to hot starts — are looking pretty good through three games.

When you look at why teams are off to great starts it’s due to the quarterback position. Teams like Ohio State, Michigan, and Maryland are having great success early throwing the ball.

While other teams like Iowa haven’t had a solid start out if its quarterback.

I’m going to rank the Big Ten starting quarterbacks through three weeks in this article.

See where Joel Klatt ranks Ohio State after a blowout win over Toledo

See how Joel Klatt ranked Ohio State after an offensive outpouring over Toledo. #GoBucks

Each week, we like to check in with Fox analyst Joel Klatt to see where he has Ohio State ranked in his top 10.

Yesterday saw the Buckeyes put on a laser light show of offense, scoring at will in spectacular fashion. The amazing catches, precision passes, shifty moves, and brute strength left fans in awe. The weapons on this team and the variety of ways the Bucks can score are endless.

The defense, on the other hand, continues to look better than last year, but still has room to grow. Over pursuing a mobile quarterback and out-of-position cornerbacks gave up too many big plays for a team that has its sites set on a national championship.

What did Klatt think? Did he penalize the Buckeyes for a less-than-stellar defensive performance? Or was the offensive enough to keep OSU close to the top? Here’s Joel Klatt’s top 10 after week 3.

Offensive/Defensive Players of the Week from Nebraska’s Loss to Oklahoma

Here are the Offensive/Defensive Players of the Week from Nebraska’s loss to Oklahoma.

On September 17, the Nebraska Cornhuskers lost to the Oklahoma Sooners 14-49.

The Cornhuskers got off to a promising start jumping out to a 7-0 lead. However, the Sooners imposed their will for the remainder of the first half building up a 35-7 lead by halftime, and the Cornhuskers could not recover.

The Cornhuskers and interim head coach Mickey Joseph will have a lot of work to do to turn this season around.

Saturday’s loss was embarrassing, and Nebraska did not play well on either side of the ball. Nevertheless, there were a couple of players who had good individual performances.

Let’s take a look at the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week from Nebraska’s loss to Oklahoma.

Aaron Murray reveals his top-ten CFB teams following Week 3

After two incredible weeks to open the college football season, Week 3 gave fans a bit of a breather. That’s not to say there was no excitement on Saturday — it’s college football…there’s always excitement.

With another week in the books, we really have an idea of who the top-three teams in America are. But outside of the top-three, there’s plenty to debate. Are Kentucky and Arkansas legit? Can Clemson, USC, Oklahoma and Michigan do enough to give any team a tough time in the College Football Playoff?

Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, now a college football analyst with ESPN, ranked his top-ten teams following Week 3.
