Swifties lambast Bills fans after barbs exchanged pregame

Swifties didn’t hold back in mocking #Bills fans who they felt had disparaged Taylor Swift before Buffalo’s loss to the #Chiefs on Saturday night.

Fans around the NFL saw the Kansas City Chiefs handle their business in nail-biting fashion against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. The Chiefs’ 27-24 win in Buffalo punched Kansas City’s ticket to a sixth-consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance and left Buffalo’s fans speechless.

Some of the Chiefs’ newest devotees, the so-called “Swifties”, got their first taste of high-stakes playoff football during the hotly-contested tilt after exchanging barbs with the Bills Mafia in the buildup to the game.

Sparks flew at the matchup’s conclusion after Buffalo’s kicker, Tyler Bass, missed a field goal that could have evened the score with mere minutes remaining in regulation.

The Swifties were ruthless in their mockery of Bills fans who they felt had disparaged the good name of their favorite pop superstar, Taylor Swift, with their behavior and signs ahead of the game’s kickoff.

Check out some of the Swifties’ responses to Buffalo after the Chiefs’ hard-fought win on Sunday night:

Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium gets octopus involved in Chiefs game day ritual

The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium got a giant Pacific octopus named Chuck involved in their #Chiefs game day rituals.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional round of the AFC playoffs is set to be one of the most competitive games of the NFL postseason, and some fans are coping with their anticipation ahead of kickoff in unprecedented ways.

On Sunday morning, the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium posted a video of an octopus, Chuck, doing his part to get in the game day spirit by playing with a Chiefs commemorative football.

Set to dramatic music, the clip of Chuck manipulating the oblong spheroid was a unique way for fans and, as it turns out, aquatic wildlife to get in their zone ahead of Kansas City’s win-or-go-home tilt against the Bills.

As a giant Pacific octopus, Chuck’s natural allegiance could be with one of the NFL teams on the West Coast, but it is impossible to tell given that he is non-verbal.

Chiefs fans have innumerable traditions, superstitions, and pre-game rituals that they believe might help the Chiefs win, but this humble cephalopod’s demonstration is sure to be the most bizarre.

WATCH: Demario Davis addresses Saints pregame huddle for what may be the last time in the 2023 season

The New Orleans Saints have underachieved this year, but you can’t put the blame on Demario Davis. The veteran linebacker has continued to step up when his team has needed him — proving yet again why he’s such a valuable leader in the locker room. He leads by example and works hard to elevate those around him.

And on Sunday, Davis delivered his traditional pregame speech to his huddled teammates for what may be the final time during the 2023 season. The Saints will be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to the archrival Atlanta Falcons. A win won’t clinch a playoff berth either, but the roads to the postseason all start there. Hopefully Davis and his Saints teammates can do enough to win the day and see if their season will keep going.

Backstreet Boys’ Kevin Richardson to serve as drum honoree for Chiefs vs. Bengals

Backstreet Boys’ Kevin Richardson to serve as drum honoree for Chiefs vs. Bengals

The Kansas City Chiefs have chosen their drum honoree for the Week 17 regular-season home finale at Arrowhead Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kevin Richardson, known globally as a member of one of the most prominent singing groups in history, the Backstreet Boys, serves as the team’s drum leader against the Bengals on Sunday. He will get a chance to put on a show for Chiefs Kingdom ahead of kickoff, pounding the drum on the GEHA Drum Deck and getting fans excited for the game.

Pregame entertainment will include Goldpine, a recording duo, which will sing the national anthem, and the Topeka Police Department Honor Guard will present the colors. If the weather permits, A KC-130 tanker from the 139th Airlift Wing of the Missouri National Guard will conduct a flyover.

In 2021, days before Super Bowl LV, Richardson spoke exclusively to Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. about how he became a die-hard Chiefs fan due in large part to his wife.

“My girlfriend at the time was a Kansas City girl. We started dating in 1992. Fast forward 28 years later, and she’s my wife. We have two boys, so she’s from Overland Park, Kansas. She went to school at Shawnee Mission High School. She’s Kansas City grown and grew up going to the Chiefs games with her family; her dad was a Chiefs’ ticket holder. She’s running around there in the 1970s at Arrowhead (Stadium) growing up as a kid, and so I married into the Chiefs,” said Richardson, “and ironically, (Marcus) Allen and (Joe) Montana had come over; it was a perfect fit, and I’ve been a fan ever since, all the way through Derrick Thomas, Tony Gonzalez, Priest Holmes, Will Shields, Trent Green, Larry Johnson, Dante Hall, Tamba Ali, all the greats.”

Richardson will get the crowd in a frenzy as the Chiefs look to clinch another AFC West division championship.

LOOK: Chiefs stars dressed to kill ahead of ‘Sunday Night Football’ matchup vs. Packers

Several #Chiefs stars were spotted wearing their finest pre-game outfits ahead of Kansas City’s primetime matchup against the #Packers.

The Kansas City Chiefs are ready to take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football in Week 13 in search of their ninth win of the 2023 season.

This matchup is expected to be hotly contested, and while Kansas City may be favored the upstart Packers are unlikely to surrender victory without a hard fight.

Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs’ stars showed up to the game dressed for success in Eastern Wisconsin and were seen donning their finest threads as they made their way to the locker room before the game’s kickoff.

Their “drip” won’t be a factor in the tilt’s outcome, but in a sport where confidence is key, the garments they wear may give the players a lift to help earn Kansas City a much-needed win as they compete for a top seed in the AFC Playoffs.

Check out the team’s finest pre-game outfits below:

#Chiefs players were dressed for success as they entered Allegiant Stadium for Kansas City’s Week 12 matchup against the #Raiders.

The Kansas City Chiefs are known for their flash on the field, but equally ostentatious are their pre-game outfits, which always showcase the players’ vibrant personalities.

For the team’s Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, six of Kansas City’s stars were featured on the Chiefs’ Twitter page for their bold outfits that set the tone for their divisional matchup on Sunday afternoon.

The importance of Kansas City’s tilt against Las Vegas can’t be understated. With a win, the Chiefs would maintain their position in the AFC playoff standings and give themselves a chance to earn the conference’s top seed later in the season. If they lose against the Raiders, Kansas City’s odds to compete for a home-field advantage during January’s elimination games would be greatly diminished.

From Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce, players were dressed for success as they walked to the locker room for the crucial matchup.

Gator Nation gets ready for Florida-Georgia game day on Twitter

Take a peek in the Florida Gators Twitter-verse to see how the fanbase is feeling on gameday for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

Florida football fans are tailgating and getting ready for kickoff between the Gators and Georgia Bulldogs. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has commenced outside of EverBank Stadium, and the fans are showing their excitement in the Twitter-verse.

The Gators are underdogs going into Saturday’s showdown but the Florida Faithful is (for the most part) maintaining hope that their team will pull off a miracle in Duval County.

The entire College Gameday crew chose the Dawgs to be victorious on ESPN, meaning UGA will keep its sensational 24-game win streak alive.

Let’s take a look at the pregame vibes within the Florida fanbase.

The New Orleans Saints hit the jackpot when they signed Demario Davis as a free agent back in 2018. Not only does he lead the team on the field, but has taken over the role from Drew Brees in delivering the pregame hype speech.

Now, as the team gets ready to take on the Green Bay Packers, Davis prepares them yet again by getting the emotions pumping. This is a big game for the Saints as they try to get off to an illustrious 3-0 start while fending off a Packers team that is coming off of a one-point loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Rookie running back Kendre Miller makes his debut for the Saints and will likely always remember his first pregame Davis speech.

Leave it to Demario Davis to get his teammates motivated before a big-time game — for him, this is a ritual he enjoys every week. The New Orleans Saints’ Pro Bowl linebacker addressed his team before kickoff with the Carolina Panthers on Monday night to continue a tradition stretching back years.

It’s an emotional game, and Davis is an emotional player. Those around him feed off that energy. He’s been a major part of the team’s success in recent years and few teams can boast someone who matches his play to his pregame talk as well as he does. He and his defense have a lot on their hands while the Saints continue to figure things out offensively.

WATCH: Jameis Winston delivers Saints pregame speech before preseason finale

Backup quarterback Jameis Winston delivered a passionate pregame speech before the New Orleans Saints’ preseason finale, emphasizing the importance of the moment — for the players dressing out in this exhibition game, a couple of plays could decide their football future.

Too many mistakes could doom them. Enough good plays could win a roster spot. Either way, Winston urged his teammates to feel gratitude for the opportunity. It’s not something that comes by often in their line of work.

Winston is starting Sunday night’s game with the Houston Texans with Derek Carr and the rest of the starting offense sidelined; he’ll give way to rookie draft pick Jake Haener, who is expected to close out the night. Winston knows as well as anyone how just a few broken plays could start a narrative or turn it around. Let’s see how he does in a big spot.
