Ole Miss at Auburn odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Ole Miss at Auburn odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels (5-1, 2-1 SEC) take on the Auburn Tigers (3-3, 0-3) Saturday. Kickoff from Jordan-Hare Stadium is at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Ole Miss vs. Auburn odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

After their bye week, the Ole Miss Rebels get back in action on the Plains against Auburn, which has struggled to an 0-3 record in SEC play.

The Rebels and coach Lane Kiffin will look to take down former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze. A coach who led the Rebels to their highest point. But who also left the team in shambles due to NCAA violations. And the man who beat Kiffin out for the Auburn job he wanted this offseason.

Ole Miss last saw the field as a 13-point favorite against Arkansas. A game the Rebels won 27-20.

Auburn is coming off a bad 48-18 loss at LSU. A game Auburn entered as an 11.5-point underdog.

Under Freeze, Auburn has yet to find an offense. Something which will take another offseason of recruiting and transfer portal moves. This means Auburn must rely on its defense to matchup against a Rebels offense which has been averaging 41.7 points/game — good for 8th in the nation. Auburn’s defense is ranked No. 52 allowing 23.2 points but is coming off a 48-point performance against LSU. Returning home may be effective for the Tigers, but we will find out if this is enough to gain a much-needed conference victory.

Ole Miss at Auburn picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 31, Auburn 17

Moneyline

PASS.

The line on Ole Miss is too high, and the value of Auburn is not enough. Stay away.

Against the spread

BET OLE MISS -6.5 (-115).

After being beaten up by LSU Saturday, Auburn will return home to take on a less physical but fast-paced Ole Miss team.

Auburn always plays better at home. But it will not be enough to hold down the offense of No. 12 Ole Miss who will look to not just throw the ball, but also run the ball with a run game which has averaged 183.3 yards/game.

The offense of Auburn has yet to take hold under Freeze. Averaging only 348 yards, good for 100th in the nation, and averaging 27.7 points/game (75th). Much of the Auburn offensive output has come against its weak non-conference opponents. In 3 SEC games, Auburn has only scored an average of 18.7 points/game. This will not be enough to keep the Tigers inside a TD against a Rebels team set to score a minimum of 30.

TAKE OLE MISS -6.5 (-115).

Over/Under

TAKE UNDER 55.5 (-110).

The Rebels (41.7 points) have the offense to take this game over, but Auburn has struggled on offense with just 18.7 points a game during conference play. Plus, the defense of Ole Miss has improved this season, allowing 23.8 points. This includes allowing 49 to LSU. The Rebels (183.3 yards/game) will also use their running game to keep their offense on the field and minimize the number of drives given to the Auburn offense. This will even further limit the number of points the Tigers will be able to put up at home. 54.5 points is too high, and the number should be closer to the 48.5 points being offered in the Tennessee vs. Alabama game. If this total remains over 51, the Under is the side to make a wager on.

Arkansas at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Arkansas at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Arkansas Razorbacks (2-3, 0-2 SEC) travel to take on the No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels (4-1, 1-1) Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Both Arkansas and Ole Miss come into this matchup after physical battles on Saturday. While Arkansas lost to Texas A&M 34-22 as 6.5-point underdogs, Ole Miss was winning a high-powered battle against LSU  55-49 as 2.5-point home underdogs. This should be another high scoring affair between these 2 SEC West teams.

The past 2 games in this series have both gone Over the posted total. Last season in Fayetteville, Arkansas won 42-27 and hit the Over of 68. In 2021, Ole Miss won 52-51 as the Over of 69 easily cashed.

Arkansas at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 45, Arkansas 38

Moneyline

PASS.

The numbers are too high to bet on either side here with any value.

Against the spread

BET ARKANSAS +11.5 (-110).

Arkansas always plays well in this series. In the past 10 matchups between the teams, Arkansas has covered the spread on 9 occasions. The only outlier was a 14-point Ole Miss win as 5-point favorites in 2019.

With neither defense playing elite and both offenses able to score, this will be another up and down battle. The team able to get even one stop could end up the winner.

Thus 11.5 points is too much for either team. I will take the value offered on the underdog Razorbacks.

Over/Under

BET OVER 62.5 (-110).

The past 2 games in this series have gone well over this number. This is the lowest total since 2019 when the total was 50.5. Since then, the total has not been Under 68 and it should not be this low now.

Both teams can score. Arkansas averages 33.6 points per game while Ole Miss is at 44.6 points. This will be another game to take the Over in the series as the points pile up. If there is a play to make, this is the one.

LSU at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The No.12 LSU Tigers (3-1, 2-0 SEC) visit the No. 20 Ole Miss Rebels (3-1, 0-1 SEC) Saturday. Kickoff from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is set for 6 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the LSU vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

LSU picked up a 34-31 win last Saturday vs. the Arkansas Razorbacks to stay undefeated in conference play. QB Jayden Daniels was stellar, completing 20 of 29 passes for 320 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT. Daniels led the Tigers on a 9-play, 72-yard drive to put the Tigers in field goal range before K Damian Ramos made the game-winning kick.

Ole Miss suffered its 1st loss on the season Saturday, losing 24-10 vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide. QB Jaxson Dart struggled, completing 20 of 35 passes for 244 yards and 1 INT while also rushing for 6 yards and 1 TD. The Rebels’ rushing attack was non-existent vs. the Crimson Tide as they ran for 56 yards on 29 carries as a team, averaging 1.9 yards per carry.

LSU is No. 12 and Ole Miss is No. 20 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

LSU at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 45, Ole Miss 30

Moneyline

BET LSU (-145).

LSU is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Ole Miss and went on a 5-game win streak during that stretch. I like Daniels more than I like Dart and I expect Ole Miss’ lack of a run game to prove to be detrimental in this matchup. I expect LSU’s offense which averages 530 yards per game to shred this Ole Miss defense.

Against the spread

LEAN LSU -2.5 (-115).

I expect LSU to come out and be pass-heavy after seeing Ole Miss allow 10.7 yards per pass attempt vs. Alabama. I also believe that the Rebels’ struggles in the run game will continue and will force them to be very pass-reliant, removing the element of surprise and allowing LSU’s defense to really key in on the passing game.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 67.5 (-110).

Both of these teams have very high-powered offenses and very talented quarterbacks. LSU’s lowest scoring game came in its week 1 45-24 loss vs. FSU, but since then the Tigers have not scored fewer than 34 points.

The Rebels averaged 52.6 points per game in their 1st 3 games before struggling offensively vs. Alabama. These teams have gone Over 67.5 twice in their last 4 meetings.

Ole Miss at Alabama odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Ole Miss at Alabama odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Ole Miss Rebels (3-0) will open up SEC play in a battle against the Alabama Crimson Tide (2-1) on Saturday. Kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Ole Miss vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Ole Miss took down the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 48-23 last week to cover as 16.5-point home favorites. While QB Jaxson Dart was just 10-of-18 through the air with 251 yards and a passing TD, he had 14 carries for 136 yards and 2 TDs on the ground in the victory. In total, the Rebels had 5 TDs and 299 yards on the ground last week. Ole Miss put up 24 points in the final 7 minutes and 45 seconds of the game to extend its lead and cover the spread.

The Crimson Tide defeated the South Florida Bulls 17-3 last week, failing to cover as 34.5-point road favorites. With a 3-3 halftime score, they put up 14 points in the 2nd half to secure the victory. It was a tough day through the air with QBs Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner combining for a 10-of-23 performance and only 107 yards. RB Roydell Williams carried the load on offense with 17 carries for 129 yards and a TD.

Alabama is No. 12, and Ole Miss is No. 16 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

  • Over/Under (O/U): 55.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Ole Miss at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 27, Alabama 24

Moneyline

LEAN OLE MISS (+210).

While Alabama somewhat came to life in the 2nd half last week to secure the victory, it has not looked good in the past 2 weeks dating back to its 34-24 loss against the Texas Longhorns. It seems the Crimson Tide have not been able to identify their No. 1 QB, and as a result, they have had to rely more on their run game.

While Ole Miss has not truly been tested thus far, its offense has displayed an ability to score, putting up 37 or more points in each game this season while its defense has not allowed more than 23 points in the same span. The Rebels have only given up 2 rushing TDs this season, and while that will surely increase on Saturday, they should be able to hold Alabama long enough to have a shot at victory in the final minutes.

Against the spread

BET OLE MISS +7 (-110).

For the reasons stated above, the Rebels will put pressure on the Alabama offense while Dart and company are able to find the endzone. Dart will have to be more successful through the air this week, but his dual-threat ability will keep the Crimson Tide on their toes enough to stay in the game.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 55.5 (-110).

Besides the first week against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, Alabama’s offense has only scored 24 and 17 points respectively. While Ole Miss has performed well on offense this season, expect this game to be fought in the trenches, which will cause points to come at more of a premium.

Georgia Tech at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Georgia Tech at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels (2-0) welcome the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (1-1) to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Georgia Tech vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Rebels beat Mercer 73-7 to open the season and then beat Tulane 37-20 in Week 2, respectively covering as a 35-point and 13.5-point favorite. Ole Miss is led by QB Jaxson Dart, who has 6 TDs and 1 INT in the 2 games with a 70% completion rate on 50 attempts. Ole Miss is No. 19 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Georgie Tech opened up the season with a neutral field battle against Louisville, losing 39-34 yet covering as a 7-point underdog. The Yellow Jackets then returned home and beat South Carolina State 48-13, failing to cover as a 45-point favorite. QB Haynes King has led the Yellow Jackets and has 7 passing TDs in 2 games. Georgia Tech is 2-0 O/U this season.

Georgia Tech at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 38, Georgia Tech 28

Moneyline

PASS.

Move along; there’s no value here. Do not put Ole Miss in your moneyline parlay either.

Against the spread

BET GEORGIA TECH +17.5 (-110).

The Yellow Jackets haven’t look great at all points of the season, but they have looked good enough. King has just 1 INT on the season and threw for 3 TDs against Louisville. They stuck in that game despite being away from home. Georgia Tech has looked better than expected.

Ole Miss beat Tulane 37-20 and Mercer 73-7; however, Tulane had its backup QB in and the Rebels were down at the half. They used a 20-point 4th quarter to win by 17, but they ultimately struggled for most of that win.

Considering those trends against each team’s most competitive opponent, back GEORGIA TECH +17.5 (-110) as they should be able to keep things within this spread.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 63.5 (-115).

Georgia Tech ranks 14th in the nation in yards per play at 6.9, and Ole Miss sits 63rd in that category. Both teams like to push the tempo, one reason the Over between the 2 sides is a combined 3-1.

Ole Miss has scored at least 37 points in each game as well, so Dart has the offense rolling. Expect the game to be at a fast pace and points to be scored. Take OVER 63.5 (-115).

Ole Miss at Tulane picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 35, Tulane 26

No value here: PASS.

Against the spread

Tulane has won 5 in a row ATS and is 5-1 ATS over its last 6 home games.

The Green Wave were sharp in pass defense last week, allowing just 190 yards through the air despite leading the Jaguars wire-to-wire. The Wave crashed through for 5 sacks in that game.

Look for enough from Tulane on that side of the ball in this home contest, a big regional, big-brother-little-brother tussle that will have TU at its best.

BACK TULANE +7 (-105).

Over/Under

This line has steamed upward through the week and is now ripe for value on the Under.

Both offenses benefited from turnovers and short-field scores in week 1.

While Tenessee holds the clear advantage over Ole Miss, 11.5 points is too many to bet one way or the other. In games this season when Tennesse was a double-digit favorite, it went 4-5 ATS while Ole Miss when 1-2 ATS as 10-or-more point underdogs.

On neutral floors, the Rebels were 1-2-1 ATS this season while the Volunteers were 2-3 ATS. The Volunteers have had more rest than the Rebels, but playing for their season, there is still a chance the Rebels can keep this game close. After all, it is March. The best play in this game is on the points.

Over/Under

BET OVER 127.5 (-110).

As it stands, 127.5 would be the lowest closing line in the last 10 games for both Tennessee and Ole Miss.

The Over is 7-3 in the Rebels’ last 10 games, 8-0 in their last 8 games following a ATS loss, and 6-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. For Tennessee, the Over is 4-1 in its last 5 Thursday games and 2-1-1 in its last 4 games.

The Aggies are coming off a 69-62 loss at Mississippi State Saturday, so A&M is hoping not to go 0-2 in the Magnolia State. The loss snapped a 6-0 straight-up (SU) and against-the-spread (ATS) run.

The Rebels racked up an 82-69 win against LSU as 4-point favorites Saturday, snapping a 4-game losing skid. Ole Miss is looking for its first 3-game cover streak since Jan. 29-Feb. 5, 2022.

This is the first meeting this season. A&M swept the regular-season series last year, and the Aggies are 4-1 ATS in the past 5 meetings with the Under going 5-1 in the past 6 in the series.

Texas A&M at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 75, Ole Miss 67

Moneyline

Texas A&M (-240) will cost you nearly 2 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just too much risk for not enough reward. Look to the spread instead for this SEC tilt.

AVOID.

Against the spread

TEXAS A&M -5.5 (-105) is a decent play in this road outing, as the Ages are still 6-1 ATS despite the loss in Stark Vegas Saturday.

Ole Miss has cashed just once in its last 7 home games and is 5-15-2 ATS in the previous 22 outings against winning teams.

Over/Under

OVER 135.5 (-115) is worth a look and is a dominating trend for both teams lately.

The Over has cashed in 5 of the past 7 road games for the Aggies and has cashed at a 4-1 clip in their past 5 games following a cover.

The Over has hit in 4 straight for Ole Miss, while cashing in 4 of the previous 5 outings at home, too.

Auburn at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Auburn at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 22 Auburn Tigers (12-3, 2-1 SEC) meet the Ole Miss Rebels (8-7, 0-3) Tuesday at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Auburn vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

The Tigers rebounded from a stunning  76-64 loss at Georgia Wednesday, toppling Arkansas by a 72-59 score last time out in a battle of ranked teams on Saturday. Auburn grabbed the cover as a 2.5-point favorite too, but it is still just 3-7 ATS across the past 10 games overall.

The Rebels were dropped 64-54 by rival Mississippi State in Stark Vegas on Saturday, their 3rd straight loss to open the SEC schedule. Ole Miss has also lost 4 in a row overall, including an embarrassing 66-65 loss to North Alabama on Dec. 20 as a 23-point favorite. The Under has hit in 5 in a row for the Rebels.

Auburn at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Auburn 72, Ole Miss 63

Moneyline

The moneyline is OTB at the time of publishing.

However, Auburn should open as a short favorite based on the spread and isn’t a bad play if you don’t want to fiddle around with the points and just want to declare a winner.

The Tigers are the ranked team and they’re playing way better basketball than their counterparts. It’s rather surprising that this line isn’t much, much higher.

Against the spread

AUBURN -2.5 (-105) is a great play on the road.

The Tigers are just 2-5 ATS in the past 7 against teams with a winning overall record. However, the Rebels are 1-4-1 ATS in the past 6 games overall and 1-6-2 ATS in the past 9 against winning teams.

Auburn showed some signs of life in a win against a very good Arkansas team Saturday, proving that this team can be elite when it’s locked in. Ole Miss isn’t close to being on the same plane.

Over/Under

OVER 132.5 (-110) is the lean but go with a half-unit play at best.

It’s all about the Over for Auburn lately, going 6-2 in the past 8 games overall and 4-0 in the past 4 road games.

However, the Under is 5-0 in the past 5 games for Ole Miss, while going 4-1 in the past 5 following a non-cover and 4-0 in the past 4 following a SU loss.

Ole Miss at Alabama odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Ole Miss at Alabama odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Ole Miss Rebels (8-5, 0-1 SEC) visit Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-2, 1-0) Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Ole Miss vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Ole Miss is coming off a 63-59 conference-opening loss to then-No. 10, now-No. 9 Tennessee Wednesday, however, the Rebels did cover the spread as 7.5-point home underdogs. This came a week after a stunning 66-65 upset by North Alabama in which Ole Miss was a 23-point home favorite. While the game vs. the Vols was close, the Rebels are struggling and a date with the Crimson Tide doesn’t bode well.

Alabama’s last game was a 78-67 road victory Wednesday at Mississippi State, which ranks 4th in the country in points allowed per game (54.5). After having the New Year’s weekend off, the Crimson Tide are back on their home floor and will look to continue firing away from 3-point land to drive up the score against a lesser opponent. While the Tide only hit 34.3% of their 3-point attempts (ranking 153rd), they’re not afraid to shoot ’em — they average 29.4 attempts per game (ranking 7th in the country and 1st in the SEC). Alabama, which ranks 15th nationally with 83.2 points per game, will score and score a lot in this game vs. Ole Miss. It will be up to the Rebels to keep pace.

Ole Miss at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 90, Ole Miss 71

Moneyline

PASS.

Alabama (-800) is easily the better team. While this does not always mean it will win, the recent struggles of Ole Miss make this more likely. However, backing a -800 favorite is far too big of a number to make a straight wager on.

Against the spread

BET ALABAMA -11.5 (-115).

Shots will be hoisted in this game. Alabama will be doing most of the heavy lifting at home. This game could get out of hand early, but it will definitely be out of hand by the final buzzer.

If Ole Miss can keep this game within 15 points, it should be considered a win for the Rebels. TAKE ALABAMA -11.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET OVER 147.5 (-115).

The sportsbook favors the Over — with the -115 juice — and so do I. Alabama is going to come out hot and it will not settle down until the end of the game. The Tide could score 100 here, but 90 is more likely. This means Ole Miss only needs to get to 58. Something it will be forced to do as it tries to keep up and remain competitive. OVER 147.5 (-115) is my FAVORITE PLAY.
