Ole Miss at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 27, Alabama 24

Moneyline

LEAN OLE MISS (+210).

While Alabama somewhat came to life in the 2nd half last week to secure the victory, it has not looked good in the past 2 weeks dating back to its 34-24 loss against the Texas Longhorns. It seems the Crimson Tide have not been able to identify their No. 1 QB, and as a result, they have had to rely more on their run game.

While Ole Miss has not truly been tested thus far, its offense has displayed an ability to score, putting up 37 or more points in each game this season while its defense has not allowed more than 23 points in the same span. The Rebels have only given up 2 rushing TDs this season, and while that will surely increase on Saturday, they should be able to hold Alabama long enough to have a shot at victory in the final minutes.

Against the spread

BET OLE MISS +7 (-110).

For the reasons stated above, the Rebels will put pressure on the Alabama offense while Dart and company are able to find the endzone. Dart will have to be more successful through the air this week, but his dual-threat ability will keep the Crimson Tide on their toes enough to stay in the game.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 55.5 (-110).

Besides the first week against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, Alabama’s offense has only scored 24 and 17 points respectively. While Ole Miss has performed well on offense this season, expect this game to be fought in the trenches, which will cause points to come at more of a premium.
