The Ole Miss Rebels (3-0) will open up SEC play in a battle against the Alabama Crimson Tide (2-1) on Saturday. Kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Ole Miss vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Ole Miss took down the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 48-23 last week to cover as 16.5-point home favorites. While QB Jaxson Dart was just 10-of-18 through the air with 251 yards and a passing TD, he had 14 carries for 136 yards and 2 TDs on the ground in the victory. In total, the Rebels had 5 TDs and 299 yards on the ground last week. Ole Miss put up 24 points in the final 7 minutes and 45 seconds of the game to extend its lead and cover the spread.

The Crimson Tide defeated the South Florida Bulls 17-3 last week, failing to cover as 34.5-point road favorites. With a 3-3 halftime score, they put up 14 points in the 2nd half to secure the victory. It was a tough day through the air with QBs Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner combining for a 10-of-23 performance and only 107 yards. RB Roydell Williams carried the load on offense with 17 carries for 129 yards and a TD.

Alabama is No. 12, and Ole Miss is No. 16 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Ole Miss at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 27, Alabama 24

Moneyline

LEAN OLE MISS (+210).

While Alabama somewhat came to life in the 2nd half last week to secure the victory, it has not looked good in the past 2 weeks dating back to its 34-24 loss against the Texas Longhorns. It seems the Crimson Tide have not been able to identify their No. 1 QB, and as a result, they have had to rely more on their run game.

While Ole Miss has not truly been tested thus far, its offense has displayed an ability to score, putting up 37 or more points in each game this season while its defense has not allowed more than 23 points in the same span. The Rebels have only given up 2 rushing TDs this season, and while that will surely increase on Saturday, they should be able to hold Alabama long enough to have a shot at victory in the final minutes.

Against the spread

BET OLE MISS +7 (-110).

For the reasons stated above, the Rebels will put pressure on the Alabama offense while Dart and company are able to find the endzone. Dart will have to be more successful through the air this week, but his dual-threat ability will keep the Crimson Tide on their toes enough to stay in the game.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 55.5 (-110).

Besides the first week against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, Alabama’s offense has only scored 24 and 17 points respectively. While Ole Miss has performed well on offense this season, expect this game to be fought in the trenches, which will cause points to come at more of a premium.

Ole Miss at Alabama odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Ole Miss at Alabama odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Ole Miss Rebels (8-5, 0-1 SEC) visit Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-2, 1-0) Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Ole Miss vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Ole Miss is coming off a 63-59 conference-opening loss to then-No. 10, now-No. 9 Tennessee Wednesday, however, the Rebels did cover the spread as 7.5-point home underdogs. This came a week after a stunning 66-65 upset by North Alabama in which Ole Miss was a 23-point home favorite. While the game vs. the Vols was close, the Rebels are struggling and a date with the Crimson Tide doesn’t bode well.

Alabama’s last game was a 78-67 road victory Wednesday at Mississippi State, which ranks 4th in the country in points allowed per game (54.5). After having the New Year’s weekend off, the Crimson Tide are back on their home floor and will look to continue firing away from 3-point land to drive up the score against a lesser opponent. While the Tide only hit 34.3% of their 3-point attempts (ranking 153rd), they’re not afraid to shoot ’em — they average 29.4 attempts per game (ranking 7th in the country and 1st in the SEC). Alabama, which ranks 15th nationally with 83.2 points per game, will score and score a lot in this game vs. Ole Miss. It will be up to the Rebels to keep pace.

Ole Miss at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 90, Ole Miss 71

Moneyline

PASS.

Alabama (-800) is easily the better team. While this does not always mean it will win, the recent struggles of Ole Miss make this more likely. However, backing a -800 favorite is far too big of a number to make a straight wager on.

Against the spread

BET ALABAMA -11.5 (-115).

Shots will be hoisted in this game. Alabama will be doing most of the heavy lifting at home. This game could get out of hand early, but it will definitely be out of hand by the final buzzer.

If Ole Miss can keep this game within 15 points, it should be considered a win for the Rebels. TAKE ALABAMA -11.5 (-115).

Over/Under

BET OVER 147.5 (-115).

The sportsbook favors the Over — with the -115 juice — and so do I. Alabama is going to come out hot and it will not settle down until the end of the game. The Tide could score 100 here, but 90 is more likely. This means Ole Miss only needs to get to 58. Something it will be forced to do as it tries to keep up and remain competitive. OVER 147.5 (-115) is my FAVORITE PLAY.

Ole Miss at Alabama odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Ole Miss at Alabama odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels (3-0, 0-0 SEC) and No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0) meet Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Ole Miss vs. Alabama odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.

Ole Miss has been flexing that offensive muscle and getting better over time. The Rebels dropped 43 on Louisville in a neutral-site win in the opener, they posted 54 in a win over FCS Austin Peay and then 61 last week against a good Tulane side.

Alabama has registered 44 or more points in three games, including a dominant opening-game win over Miami at a neutral site. They also passed a stern test in Florida, winning 31-29. The Tide roll in with three consecutive Over results.

Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Ole Miss at Alabama odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 45, Ole Miss 39

Money line

It’s the pupil, Lane Kiffin, leading his high-powered offense into Alabama to face the teacher, Nick Saban.

This game has all the potential to be a high-flying, entertaining affair with Alabama (-540) pulling it out at home. But you can’t risk seven times your potential return in what could be a close game.

AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

I think OLE MISS +14.5 (-108) is an absolute steal. QB Matt Corral and the Rebels offense is legit, and they should put some serious points on the board, even against the Tide.

Alabama -14.5 (-112) has the one thing Ole Miss hasn’t had yet, and that’s a test. They escaped at Florida, and know how to win a close game. That experience will help them pull another one out of the hat here, but the Rebels will keep it super close.

Over/Under

Initially, playing the OVER 80.5 (-110) looks like a ridiculous play. But these are two extremely high-powered offenses capable of hitting the 50’s without breaking a sweat.

Corral will put up the points, and QB Bryce Young has proven he is the next great quarterback for Saban. Old school fans might not like the lack of defense, and video game appearance of this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see these teams flirt with 90.
