The No.12 LSU Tigers (3-1, 2-0 SEC) visit the No. 20 Ole Miss Rebels (3-1, 0-1 SEC) Saturday. Kickoff from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is set for 6 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the LSU vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

LSU picked up a 34-31 win last Saturday vs. the Arkansas Razorbacks to stay undefeated in conference play. QB Jayden Daniels was stellar, completing 20 of 29 passes for 320 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT. Daniels led the Tigers on a 9-play, 72-yard drive to put the Tigers in field goal range before K Damian Ramos made the game-winning kick.

Ole Miss suffered its 1st loss on the season Saturday, losing 24-10 vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide. QB Jaxson Dart struggled, completing 20 of 35 passes for 244 yards and 1 INT while also rushing for 6 yards and 1 TD. The Rebels’ rushing attack was non-existent vs. the Crimson Tide as they ran for 56 yards on 29 carries as a team, averaging 1.9 yards per carry.

LSU is No. 12 and Ole Miss is No. 20 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

LSU at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 45, Ole Miss 30

Moneyline

BET LSU (-145).

LSU is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Ole Miss and went on a 5-game win streak during that stretch. I like Daniels more than I like Dart and I expect Ole Miss’ lack of a run game to prove to be detrimental in this matchup. I expect LSU’s offense which averages 530 yards per game to shred this Ole Miss defense.

Against the spread

LEAN LSU -2.5 (-115).

I expect LSU to come out and be pass-heavy after seeing Ole Miss allow 10.7 yards per pass attempt vs. Alabama. I also believe that the Rebels’ struggles in the run game will continue and will force them to be very pass-reliant, removing the element of surprise and allowing LSU’s defense to really key in on the passing game.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 67.5 (-110).

Both of these teams have very high-powered offenses and very talented quarterbacks. LSU’s lowest scoring game came in its week 1 45-24 loss vs. FSU, but since then the Tigers have not scored fewer than 34 points.

The Rebels averaged 52.6 points per game in their 1st 3 games before struggling offensively vs. Alabama. These teams have gone Over 67.5 twice in their last 4 meetings.
