Ohio State shares availability, injuries for Michigan State game

The Ohio State football program issued the availability and injury report ahead of the Michigan State game on Saturday.

The Ohio State football program doesn’t share a traditional injury report any longer in the days leading up to the next game, but it does provide an availability report hours before kickoff, and we just got the latest for the Michigan State contest on the road.

Of course, everyone is interested in whether Jaxon Smith-Njigba can go this week, and the answer to that appears to be no. But that’s not the only big name out. Defensive back Jordan Hancock is also listed as unavailable and so is running back Miyan Williams who just set a program record with five touchdowns last week.

Here is the rest of the availability report shared by the fine folks at Ohio State today.

Game-Time Decision

  •  OG Enokk Vimahi

Unavailable

  • DE Omari Abor
  • WR Kam Babb
  • DE Tyler Friday
  • CB Jordan Hancock
  • CB Lloyd McFarquhar
  • LB Mitchell Melton
  • LB Teradja Mitchell
  • RB Evan Pryor
  • TE Joe Royer
  • WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
  • RB Miyan Williams

With Williams out and with TreVeyon Henderson coming back from being banged up, we might see freshman Dallan Hayden a lot more than usual. At the wideout position, we’ll see Emeka Egbuka, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Julian Fleming getting a lot of targets.

Ohio State football issues availability report for Toledo game #GoBucks

The fine folks with the Ohio State football team have issued the availability report for the game against Toledo, and there are a few notable names that will not be taking part in game No. 3.

With the game under Arkansas State under its belt, Ohio State has a few guys that were bumped and bruised against the Rockets, but most of the names on the list just transitioned over from the previous week. The most notable name on this list is star wide receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is listed as a game-time decision.

All of the reports from this week were that we would see Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Julian Fleming back in action, which would completely change this offense, which has looked less than dynamic lately.

Game-Time Decision

–  WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Ohio State availability report for Rose Bowl game vs. Utah

Here is who is available/unavailable for Rose Bowl vs. Utah. #GoBucks

We now know who will be available and not available for the Rose Bowl game against Utah Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes will be without 22 players, including the four opt-outs that were announced earlier in the week. Those four players are Chris Olave, Garrett WilsonNicholas Petit-Frere, and Haskell Garrett

You had to wonder what the availability report would look like this week with the COVID-19 Omicron variant making life difficult again, but it looks like OSU is relatively healthy all things considered.

Ohio State never released information on why players are unavailable, so all we have to go with is a listing.

Ohio State availability report for Michigan

Here is who is available/unavailable for the Michigan game. #GoBucks

Each game day, the fine folks at Ohio State provide an availability report. It’s a break from the norm for most programs that give media members a better idea of what’s going on with an injury report, but it’s what we have and it’s still worth noting.

An OSU spokesman just provided the update to the availability for Michigan and we can tell you that the Buckeyes are pretty healthy for a game at this point in the season. Master Teague is unavailable, Harry Miller continues to still be sidelined, and secondary will lose some depth without the services of Sevyn Banks.

Aside from that though, most everyone is ready to go for the 117th installment of The Game. Here’s a complete availability and injury report for the titanic struggle between two top ten teams.

Ohio State football shares availability report for game against Indiana

Here’s who isn’t available for the game against Indiana.

It’s time for a prime-time matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers for Ohio State. It’s a breath of fresh air for a program that seems to get more and more noon games these days.

Each week, the fine folks at OSU share with the media the player availability report. It’s not your typical injury report, but one that tells us who is available, and what players might be a game-time decision. It comes out just a couple of hours prior to kickoff and we just received the one for the Indiana contest.

The Buckeyes are thin at running back this week with Master Teague and Marcus Crowley unavailable, and it also looks like Harry Miller is still out of the equation. We are still left with questions there that have gone unanswered.

Let’s see what other players aren’t able to take part in what should be a pretty fun game in Bloomington.

Ohio State provides player availability, injury status report for Akron game

Ohio State just released what players will not be available for the Akron game. There are some surprises.

As they do every week just prior to game time, the fine folks with the Ohio State football team have issued the availability report for the game against Tulsa. We sometimes get surprised by what comes out, and that’s the case here.

Center Harry Miller is still out and has been available at all this year. It’s still unknown what the story is there, but clearly, something is going on. In addition to that, whether because of injury or other reasons, the unavailability of players is starting to pile up, most especially on the defensive line.

Tyreke Johnson, Taron Vincent, and many other key members of the line are unavailable Saturday. The Buckeyes do have defensive end Zach Harrison back, t\so that’s at least some positive news. Look for Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau to get more reps one again off the edge.

Here is the rest of the availability report. It’s worth noting that there are no players listed as a game-time decision.
