Jason Kelce accuses Travis Kelce of being the killer in Grotesquerie on New Heights

The Chiefs tight end wouldn’t spoil it.

Travis Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl champion, and now he’s officially an actor.

While the Kansas City tight end has made a couple one-off appearances on television for shows like Saturday Night Live and Moon Base 8, he’s making his debut as a series regular with Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie on FX.

The show, which is a gruesome murder mystery, premieres on Wednesday night, and Kelce discussed the experience with big brother Jason on the pair’s New Heights podcast.

“I haven’t seen anything yet,” Travis said at the 7:28 mark of this week’s podcast. “I’ve been focused on training camp and football as things have been getting edited and finished. I’ve just been locked in on the season.”

While Travis had access to and read the whole script, he admitted his attention was mainly on his parts so there could be some twists and turns for him as a viewer. “I’m not gonna lie, I focused on my parts more than I understood the entire grand scheme of the show. So there are parts that I was watching the trailer and was like, ‘oh, [expletive] this is, this is, this is really interesting.”

There are no spoilers coming from the long-time Chief, however. Jason accused Travis of being the killer.

“Can’t tell you. You’re going to have to watch,” Travis replied.

The first two episodes of Grotesquerie air on FX at 10 p.m. ET.

Travis Kelce jokes about playing like ‘trash’ on the latest New Heights

While the star tight end is frustrated, he’s not worried.

A new episode of the New Heights podcast dropped on Wednesday morning, and hosts Jason and Travis Kelce took a chance to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs and their start to the season. While the Chiefs are 3-0 to open the season, the star tight end is not performing to the level he would like with just eight receptions and 69 yards so far.

But the three-time Super Bowl champion isn’t too worried about his individual performance just yet.

“I just want to have a successful offense,” Travis said of his team before praising quarterback Patrick Mahomes for finding the open guy on the field that will let them do that.

“I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away. That’s probably the biggest thing for me is making the play in big-time moments like that,” Kelce said of the win over the Falcons on Sunday. “I think with how defenses are playing us right now, I’m not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but not using that as an excuse. Moving forward, still trying to make sure I can help the team out in that regard knowing I’ve been that weapon for us in the past.”

Still, Kelce was hard on himself, calling his play “trash” before correcting course and saying “I’m playing winning football. It’s not trash, but, it could be better.”

Despite the questioning from outside parties, Kelce said he still felt alright. “I wish I played as good as I felt,” he said dejectedly at one point during the pod.

Kelce will have a chance to bounce back this weekend as the Chiefs head to Los Angeles to face the Chargers to stay undefeated.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce responds to criticism of pass interference call vs. Bengals: ‘We got fortunate’

Kansas City #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce responds to criticism of pass interference call vs. Bengals: ‘We got fortunate’ | @EdEastonJr

Last Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory sparked opinions from fans, analysts, and players on the game-winning drive.

During the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis shares his thoughts on the infamous pass interference call on the Cincinnati Bengals rookie cornerback that led to the Chiefs’ game-winning field goal. Kelce acknowledged that both teams had chances to make plays long before the controversial call.

“Did we get lucky? Yeah, we got fortunate that they threw the flag on that 4th and 16,” said Kelce as he reiterated the importance of trying not to be in that situation. “At the end of the day, you can’t put it in the ref’s hands that late in the game. If you’re gonna put it in the ref’s hands, you’re playing with fire.”

Since last Sunday’s game, many have speculated on the referee’s decision, including Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons on his podcast. The Chiefs are moving on to their next opponent for Week 3, the Atlanta Falcons, on Sunday Night Football.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce praises rookie teammate: ‘He can do some things with the ball’

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce praises rookie Carson Steele: ‘He can do some things with the ball’ | @EdEastonJr

The 2024 season is set to get underway for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are set to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

During the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis shares his thoughts on undrafted rookie Carson Steele joining the team after impressing everyone in training camp and the preseason.

“I think he’s a little bit more than a fullback. He’s athletic, and he can do some things with the ball in his hand,” said Kelce. “On top of that, he’s a big special teams guy. A whatever you need me to do coach kind of guy.”

Steele joins a Chiefs team seeking a three-peat filled with veterans such as Kelce. He describes the mindset going into the new season.

“You don’t get to the Super Bowl by thinking about winning the Super Bowl; you get to the Super Bowl by slowly creating this routine of success ‒ week in, week out,” said Kelce. “We know that it’s a process that you have to go through. You can’t peak too soon. You can’t look that far in advance and just assume that you’re going to be there.”

Kansas City’s team this season has a healthy mix of veterans and young players focused on returning to another Super Bowl. Kelce understands it will be another long grind that can’t accomplished in one week.

Jason Kelce reveals on New Heights his hilarious new way of trying to stop his family from getting a cat

It’s a flawed plan, but it’s a plan nonetheless.

Back in a December episode of the New Heights podcast, Kylie Kelce started to make her case to husband Jason about how they should get a cat. Although Travis Kelce had become a cat convert because of girlfriend and feline enthusiast Taylor Swift, he was no help to his sister-in-law to sway his big brother.

Well, the dream hasn’t died, but Jason has had to become much more creative to keep both his wife and his daughters from convincing the former NFL star to get a kitten.

On Wednesday’s new episode of New Heights, Jason explained his new tactic to deter from adding to the family: cats are poisonous!

Some Swifties spotted a flaw in his plan, however. What would happen if Wyatt and Ellie met Swift’s cats? That’s a problem for future Jason.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce reveals thoughts on the behind-the-back pass: ‘I screwed this one up’

Kansas City #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce reveals thoughts on the behind-the-back pass: ‘I screwed this one up’ | @EdEastonJr

The tale of Patrick Mahomes’ behind-the-back pass during the Kansas City Chiefs’ second preseason game has had several versions. We’ve heard Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid’s story, leaving only Travis Kelce to officially give his take on the moment.

Travis joined his brother on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast to give his version of the moment that shocked the football world.

“Yeah, man, I motioned over, and I’m looking at Pat while I’m motioning over, like, What did you say? Here’s the thing: when you’re in preseason, you don’t get a week to prepare for the game plan,” said Kelce. “Yeah, basically, I wasn’t in tune with the game plan. And Pat Mahomes had something in the back of his head when I walked across the line of scrimmages, like, would you say that I didn’t know what I was doing, so he was gonna have to make something shake. And that’s why we love playing with Pat Mahomes, ladies and gentlemen because even when you f***, he makes things right.”

Mahomes completed the unbelievable pass to Kelce, who was ready for various options on the play.

https://twitter.com/newheightshow/status/1828825057462038803?s=46&t=QpctjHHttQhTm1N8jEj6Zw

“There are options in Andy Reid’s offense, and it’s because of a guy like Pat Mahomes that you can run these different options,” said Kelce. “You see, just a little point to him right there, like we’re on the same page. I had no idea. I felt Pat pull the football and start to roll out, and I was just gonna start running that way and like, oh, he might need my help in blocking. He might need my help to be available. So when I turned around, he was in the mid, behind-the-back pass, like a sports card. It was just slow motion, and the ball was floating to me. Sure enough, I knew it was third and short, so I just made sure that I got the sticks there.”

Mahomes initially blamed Kelce for running the wrong route after the game, but according to Reid, that wasn’t the case. Kelce set the record straight and blamed himself for the moment.

“Like i said, I screwed this one up; I did not look at Coach Reid.” Said Kelce. “Instinctually being able to do this is insane. To have the cojones to be able to throw something behind your back in traffic like that is insane. And Patty (Mahomes), he made a great point. He’s not going to do it, just to do it. He’s only going to do it when he needs to do it; sure enough, it was a perfect situation for him. Sometimes it just takes somebody to f*** it up.”

Regardless of how the play happened, it will always be rewatchable for years and part of NFL highlight reels.

Kansas City #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce teams with brother Jason for Cereal Training Camp | @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason have made it public that they love breakfast cereals. Their appreciation for cereal led to a partnership with General Mills.

To prepare for their cereal dream job, the New Heights podcast hosts attended General Mills Cereal Training Camp, which put their passion for competition and love of cereal to the test. Travis and Jason participated in epic cereal challenges to win the chance to create the first-of-its-kind Kelce Mix and be featured on limited-edition Kelces’ Pick boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and REESE’S PUFFS cereal.

The brothers had a unique experience at training camp, showcased in videos displaying how the duo achieved cereal greatness and emerged victorious by proving their athleticism, ingenuity, and undeniable good taste. In the first video, they compete against kids ready for a fun and intense battle. Fans can expect the limited-edition Kelce Mix and Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes to drop exclusively on Walmart.com on Saturday, September 28th.

Adam Sandler gushed about Taylor Swift to Travis and Jason Kelce on the New Heights Season 3 premiere

The comedy icon had high praise for the 14-time Grammy winner.

The New Heights podcast is back, and it returned for its third season with a bang. Hosted by brothers and football stars Jason and Travis Kelce, New Heights kicked things off with legendary comedian Adam Sandler. The Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison star joined the brothers to chat on a variety of topics, including (of course) movies, football and Taylor Swift.

Swift, who has been dating Travis Kelce for just over a year, is a favorite of Sandler and his daughters. The Big Daddy funny man went into extreme detail about why he loves the 14-time Grammy winner, including an anecdote about seeing her at the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie premiere.

A wonderful sentiment from Sandler, who also said that Swift is one of the stars he gets nervous around, even if it’s just because he doesn’t want to embarrass his kids.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce fulfills childhood cereal dream by partnering with General Mills

Kansas City #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce fulfills childhood cereal dream by partnering with General Mills | @EdEastonJr

The business deals of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues as he combines his childhood love for cereal in another collaboration with his brother Jason.

The hosts of the New Heights Podcast discussed their favorite cereal brands in an episode last year, which inspired an exciting new campaign with General Mills.

In a first-of-its-kind cereal from General Mills, ‘Kelce Mix Cereal’ combines Travis and Jason’s top three favorite cereals: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Reese’s Puffs cereal, into one delicious bowl. The brothers will also have four limited-edition Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes with those three options and Honey Nut Cheerios. Each box features the brothers on the packaging, giving their stamp of approval.

“I’ve said that I’d eat a whole box of Reese’s Puffs cereal in one sitting, and while I stand by that, our creation might just be the new MVP of the cereal aisle,” said Travis, Kelce Mix co-creator. “We’d go through two to three boxes of our favorite cereals a week when we were growing up, so being able to team up with General Mills now is a full circle moment for us.”

“Who are we to argue with, two of the best from the league? After some fan speculation, we are so excited to confirm that you can now eat and train like the Kelce brothers by getting your hands on the legendary lineup of cereals and watching all the fun from our Cereal Training Camp videos this football season,” said Brandon Tyrrell, Senior Manager of Brand Experience for Family Favorites cereals at General Mills. “Our brands have always brought families together at the breakfast table, so it’s been special to work with Jason and Travis, who grew up eating our cereals themselves and could channel their inner child when competing.”

Chiefs fans can eat like the Kelces this fall with limited-edition Kelce Mix cereal, as well as the Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes, on shelves at retailers nationwide beginning in September.

Why there’s no new New Heights podcast episode with Travis and Jason Kelce on Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Here’s why there’s no new New Heights on Wednesday, July 17.

If you got up on Wednesday morning looking for your favorite NFL brothers to bring you some joy in the form of their award-winning podcast that has included everything from Taylor Swift talk to visits to the White House to losing Super Bowl rings in tubs of chili, you might be a little disappointed.

Sadly, there’s no new episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast on July 17.

And sadly, there won’t be one later this week, either. As the brothers announced back on July 3, the show is going on hiatus as Travis gets ready for and goes to Kansas City Chiefs training camp, which starts later this week.

Bummer!
