Remember the time Taylor Swift got Punk’d? Travis Kelce had a laugh over it.
Taylor Swift was the subject of another moment on the New Heights podcast, with comedian Andrew Santino recounting how Travis Kelce’s girlfriend was on Punk’d with Justin Bieber long ago.
Santino recalled how he and the show set up fireworks to go off and set a boat on fire, where a fake wedding was taking place. And yes, you can watch the whole clip below and it’s honestly making me panicky just watching it.
Anyway! Travis and Jason Kelce had a laugh over it, and Travis added, “I gotta ask Tay about that.”
Here’s the clip from New Heights and the Punk’d segment:
EU TO RINDO TANTO KKKKKKKK e o travis falando “tenho que perguntar pra tay” juro 😭😭 pic.twitter.com/LLo3CWniqC
There have been special guests that we know have been announced like Bengals teammates Joe Burrow and Orlando Brown Jr. But … could Taylor Swift be one of those guests? After all, she’s not on tour at the moment.
Travis Kelce is in the middle of his offseason, and Jason Kelce is enjoying retirement. But that hasn’t stopped the two brothers from holding their weekly New Heights podcast. This week’s edition had some major star power with Arnold Schwarzenegger appearing live in studio.
Travis and Jason’s dad, Ed, may have caught a stray in the process.
While welcoming Arnold onto the show, Travis and Jason shared how they idolized his films growing up, saying they’d watch all his movies on the couch with their dad as Ed housed a bucket of hot wings.
Arnold quoting his iconic lines in person had Jason and Travis freaking out @BWWings
Jason Kelce nailed it on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Saquon Barkley on Wednesday: “You just throw it out there … stuff happens when it goes out on New Heights. Speak it into existence!”
And here’s the context: Travis Kelce and Jason were talking to new Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, who talked about boxing in a movie and how maybe he could be the next Apollo Creed. That’s when Jason said the quote above. And his brother Travis just had to laugh, because he threw out on the podcast last July that he tried to give Taylor Swift his phone number on a friendship bracelet.
Could Saquon Barkley convince Jason Kelce to come back to the Eagles?
Ahead of Wednesday’s newest episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast New Heights, new Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley tried to use his influence to sway Jason Kelce back to the NFL.
After the elder Kelce retired from football this offseason, Barkley proceeded to jump from the New York Giants to the Eagles to chase a championship with the team.
As center play is especially important to a strong running game, Barkley joked that Jason Kelce doesn’t need to just watch how the new-look Eagles will play this upcoming season.
We’re sure, if Jason Kelce ever changed his mind, the Eagles would welcome him back with open arms.
We’re sure Jason Kelce is flattered by Barkley’s attempt to get him back to the NFL, but retirement announcements like Kelce’s usually mean that things are done-done for that football player.
As the former Philly center transitions from the playing field to the stands, we’re sure he’ll be thrilled to watch Barkley playing for his old team on Sundays.
We’ll see if Kelce ever has a change of heart to join him on the gridiron at any point in the future.
Travis Kelce singing Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood on the podcast was perfect.
Even when Travis Kelce isn’t talking about Taylor Swift on the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, he’s still winking to her.
While speaking about Kenny Pickett going from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Philadelphia Eagles — and talk that Pickett’s relationship with his former team had soured — Travis casually sang about how all that drama ended in “a little bad blood.” LOL!
That’s right, a Bad Blood reference! I hope Swift laughed at that one as much as I did. Right on key, too, Travis! Here’s the moment along with some reaction from fans on X (formerly Twitter):
Travis Kelce fired up for his former teammate, new Commanders guard Nick Allegretti.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is sitting on top of the world. A future member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Kelce is coming off his third Super Bowl championship and is currently in a relationship with one of the world’s biggest stars, Taylor Swift.
Yet, Kelce still makes time for his popular weekly podcast with his brother Jason, “New Heights.”
On the latest episode of “New Heights,” Kelce took the time to appreciate and congratulate one of his more underappreciated teammates, offensive lineman Nick Allegretti.
Why is Kelce talking about the veteran backup guard?
“You can’t have everything go your way all the time. The Chiefs lost one of my favorite f—–g teammates of all time,” Kelce said. “I mentioned him in the New Heights stamp of the week after the Super Bowl. The guy that tears his UCL and plays the rest of the Super Bowl screaming at the sideline to get him an elbow brace, Nicky Allegretti, is expected to sign in D.C. The Washington Commanders might’ve got him. He’s going to team back up with another one of my favorite teammates of all time, Andrew Wylie. I love those dudes, man. I couldn’t be happier for Nicky. Kind of being just such an awesome dude in the building, one of the most accountable guys, on and off the field.”
Kelce then mentioned how he likes to have fun and that he and Allegretti have had some good times in Vegas over the years.
Kelce ended the segment by thanking Allegretti and wishing him nothing but the best in the future.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Allegretti began his NFL career with the Chiefs in 2019 and started at left guard for Kansas City in the AFC championship and the Super Bowl. After signing with the Commanders, Allegretti made it clear he felt he was more than ready to compete to be a full-time starter.
New Heights has given us so much since Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce started it up, and not just because the NFL brothers occasionally talk about Taylor Swift.
We’ve seen everything from laughs to a lot of tears, and everything in between. So maybe it’s no surprise that they won Podcast of the Year during the 2024 iHeart Podcast Awards.
In an acceptance speech delivered virtually, the brothers thanked voters, and Jason said this: “We would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all of the 92 Percenters out there AKA Swifties who voted for us to win this award.”
After a moment of laughter, Travis responds, “Was that the speed skater?”
He is, of course, talking about Olympic short track speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno, the winner of eight medals and one of the most iconic winter Olympians for the United States.
Jason is absolutely (and understandably) tickled at his mix-up, and the results are hilarious.
This clip is gold. Travis not knowing who Yoko Ono is and than Jason’s laughing.
Travis Kelce has it right — if I was a professional football player like him (and I’m the farthest thing from it) or like his brother Jason (up until Monday), I’d love to see fans wearing my jersey.
In his case, it goes beyond Kansas City Chiefs fans who wear his jersey. We’ve seen Taylor Swift die-hards put on his threads at Eras Tour concerts, and when Travis attends shows, you can see it make him smile.
During Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, Jason asked Travis about how he felt about that.
“It’s pretty [expletive] cool to just have your jersey being worn, even if it’s on a day or at a football game,” he replied.
