Darius Slay says Philadelphia fan and Angels outfielder Mike Trout wanted to to join Eagles end zone scuffle with Steelers
Mike Trout might play for the Angels of Anaheim. Still, the South Jersey native is Philly personified and proved his worth to Eagles fans during the dustup involving Darius Slay and Darnell Washington.
During a recent episode of his ‘Big Play Slay’ podcast, the Eagles’ star cornerback discussed Trout’s readiness to jump in the fight and help.
Trout is an Eagles season ticket holder and usually can be found seated right in front of that section of Lincoln Financial Field where the Steelers tight end and Eagles cornerback were engaged in blows getting thrown after Washington attempted to block Slay out into the street.

This is the best.
It’s such a bummer that Mike Trout hasn’t been able to play much this season due to a torn meniscus in his knee, but this is a wonderful thing.
The Los Angeles Angels superstar decided to go chasing after his rookie card in packs of 2009 Bowman Draft, and what’s more is that he did it on video, with his son. It’s so sweet.
Even sweeter? The slugger opened a pack and there it was: A pristine Mike Trout rookie card with his very own autograph on it.
“There’s no better feeling than getting the little man into the card game at a young age, and pulling my own card with him made it more special,” he wrote.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Tiger.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Tiger Woods.
Last week, Woods made the rounds hawking his new line of Sun Day Red apparel, which officially went on sale. Appearances included both The Tonight Show and The Today Show.
Woods also posted on social media that while he was in New York City, he popped over to see construction at Trout National – The Reserve, the golf course his design firm is building in Vineland, New Jersey, for Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout. Woods posted, “Construction is progressing quickly, and the course looks incredible. Don’t worry, Mike, we’ve got everything under control while you’re in season. Can’t wait until we tee it up.” (Someone should tell Tiger that Trout just had surgery to repair a torn left meniscus and is likely to miss two to three months.)

This week, Tiger’s been getting back to business. With the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, May 16-19, he flew in for a visit to the course where he claimed one of his four Wanamaker trophies in 2000.
The PGA Championship’s official social media account posted multiple pictures of Woods prepping at the course. He hasn’t played since the Masters last month, where he made the cut but ran out of gas and finished dead last.

While on the talk-show circuit, Tiger reiterated he hoped to play once a month at the majors. How will he fare as he chases his 16th major and first since being involved in a serious car crash?
“I think every one of the majors he plays he’s got a better chance. I think they all become easier walks for him as we get into the season,” said ESPN analyst and two-time major winner Andy North. “But I think he’s played well at Valhalla. He’s got some great memories there. He’s got a lot of great shots he can step up on tees and remember hitting. I think that’s really important.

“Where is his game in the last month? How much work has he been able to get in? I think that’s what it all boils down to. I think, again, short game will have a huge determining factor on what he does, and hopefully he can get around physically. This could be maybe the first major in a while that it’s going to be warm. I think he needs the warm weather as much as anybody, and so many of the majors he’s played in, the weather has been awful. Obviously he doesn’t need a whole bunch of rain delays and stuff potentially this next week. I think it’s a lot weather determinant and it’s a lot on his short game, and I think physically he’s getting better at being able to get around every time he plays.”
Woods, 48, last won a major at the 2019 Masters. He last won the PGA Championship in 2007.

Mike Trout is unreal.
Los Angeles Lakers star outfielder Mike Trout rarely disappoints at the plate, and he smacked the seams off the baseball during his team’s Monday tilt against the Miami Marlins.
On a pitch from Marlins ace George Soriano, Trout hit a startling 473-foot homer all the way out of the Miami ballpark.
It was an equalizing home run, one that showed just how powerful Trout is on his swing when he’s at the plate. When a player as talented as Trout steps up to bat, there’s only so much you can do.
This gigantic homer is further proof of why Trout is one of the MLB’s elite talents.

No. 5 – St. Louis Cardinals
No. 4 – Arizona Diamondbacks
No. 3 – San Diego Padres
No. 2 – New York Yankees
No. 1 – Los Angeles Angels

Tiger Woods and baseball star Mike Trout announced in March they were partnering to build a new private golf course, Trout National – The Reserve, in New Jersey about 45 minutes south of Philadelphia.
The routing, perhaps the most important part of the design puzzle, is now complete. The group released a map of the routing Friday in a media release, timed with a new social media video of Woods and Trout at Trout National. The course – par 72 at 7,455 yards – is slated to open in 2025.
With the course designed by Woods’ TGR Design, the club will also feature a “cutting-edge” practice range, short-game area, clubhouse, restaurant, “five-star” lodging, a wedding chapel and more.
Trout recently spoke on Bleacher Report’s “On Base With Mookie Betts,” about what inspired him to build a course and his love of working with Woods.
Here’s the full release on how the routing came together:

(VINELAND, N.J.) – Trout National – The Reserve, a world-class golf club collaboration between Mike Trout, the three-time American League MVP and 10-time Major League Baseball All-Star, and local partner and businessman John Ruga, announce the course routing by golf icon Tiger Woods’ TGR Design.
The 18-hole, par-72 golf course, which is slated to complete construction in 2025, is routed through two unique natural landscapes giving distinct character to the course. A former silica sand mine and rambling farmland offers ample playable sandy waste areas as well as sprawling fairways offering multiple routes from tee to green. Large and undulating greens with low-cut surrounds emphasize the challenging, yet fun design where risk-reward opportunities create the ideal environment.
“Some of my favorite golf experiences have been ones that have challenged my game while still having fun and that’s what we wanted to create at Trout National – The Reserve,” said Trout. “Tiger, John and I walked hole by hole and this course will do just that. Our vision and his design is creating something special here in my hometown.”
“Mike and John found a site with a lot of character to make some outstanding golf holes,” says Tiger. “The sandy and diverse terrain has so many great natural features that have given us a lot of options on how to create a world-class golf course.”
“The land that is home to Trout National – The Reserve has great history here in the city of Vineland,” said Ruga. “Tiger and his team were able to incorporate the history and let the land shine through in this championship golf course. It will truly be a memorable experience on the course.”
Accompanying the 18-hole championship golf course, the golf offerings at Trout National – The Reserve will also include a flexible short course and expansive putting course along with world-class practice facilities and performance center. Other club highlights include a modern state-of-the-art clubhouse, five-star lodging, innovative amenities, a chapel and more.
