Adley Rutschman impressively switch hit during the Home Run Derby and it was awesome

Adley Rutschman absolutely stole the show with this performance.

Take a bow, Adley Rutschman, because this was an all-timer of a Home Run Derby performance.

During the first round of the 2023 Home Run Derby, Rutschman stole the show after switch hitting during his appearance. Rutschman originally took his three minute time bank versus Luis Robert Jr. as a lefty, where he hit 21 home runs. Then, Rutschman switched to batting righty, rattling off six absolute dingers as the crowd roared its approval.

While Robert Jr. was able to best Rutschman 28-27 just minutes later, the sight of the Baltimore Orioles catcher switch hitting and absolutely crushing it will no doubt be a top Home Run Derby moment of all time.

Seriously, that was awesome.

MLB fans were equally in awe of Rutschman’s incredible athleticism as he went yard from both sides of the plate.

Orioles’ Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson somehow corralled easy pop-up after wild bobble

Even accidental teamwork makes the dream work!

In a surprising 76-71 season in Baltimore, the Orioles might have the makings of a bright future if they stay patient. Should Baltimore evolve into a bona fide contender in the coming years, it might happen thanks to the efforts of young players like baseball’s former No. 1 prospect Adley Rutschman and burger-loving Gunnar Henderson.

On Tuesday night against the Tigers (-1.5), the pair “teamed up” on a wild bobble that almost became a complete disaster for Baltimore. When Detroit’s Willi Castro sent a ball up into the air for what should have been an easy pop-up out for the Orioles, Rutschman and Henderson both found themselves in a position to make a play.

The bad news is that the miscommunication led to a bobble from Rutschman when Henderson’s glove and arm weren’t quite out of his way. The good news is that Rutschman showed impeccable concentration to somehow keep this ball from hitting the ground:

Wow. How Rutschman manages to stay with the ball after that bobble, I don’t know. Credit to him for salvaging the accident and keeping the easy out in the Orioles’ back pocket. For his own efforts, Henderson would later hit his first-ever home run at Camden Yards:

While Baltimore would eventually lose 3-2, it certainly wasn’t because two of their bright young players didn’t come to play.

Watch the awesome moment Adley Rutschman, baseball’s No. 1 prospect, finally gets called up to the Orioles

This is so awesome.

It was really only a matter of time for Adley Rutschman. Since being drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 MLB draft, the clock has been ticking to the moment he’d finally get his shot to play in the majors.

Rutschman is a potential star for baseball. He’s the reward for Orioles fans after their dreaded 2019 season. They’re not as bad as they once were today, but at 16-24 they could certainly use an infusion of talent. They’re hoping Rutschman is that for them.

Obviously, it’s taken a while to get here given that the COVID-19 pandemic paused baseball for a while. But the moment is here. And it couldn’t have been sweeter.

We got a glimpse at the moment Rutschman got his call up and the joy he was overcome with was completely visible.

After his manager tells him “you’re going to Camden Yards and you’re going to play in the big leagues for the first time,” his face just lights up.

And then his teammates come out to hype him up and it’s just an awesome moment, man. This is what it’s all about.

Fans were so happy Rutschman was finally getting his moment.

Is love in the air for Bachelor alum Madison Prewett?

The famous Auburn star has hit up a new connection with a famous baseball player.

The greatest way to move on from a dead-end relationship is by simply living your best life, and that’s exactly what Bachelor survivor Madison Prewett is doing.

Five months ago, a pilot named Peter and his helicopter mom, Barb, became the two most hated people in America when Peter’s season of The Bachelor came to a tumultuous finish. Those were simpler times back then.

For 48 hours America was fooled into thinking that Madison Prewett, a 24-year-old Auburn native, had captivated the hearts of a nation and won The Bachelor.

Spoiler alert: they broke up.

Peter still exists somewhere, but nobody cares because MADISON is out here living her life to the fullest. When she isn’t hanging with celebrity pals or killing it on Tik Tok, she’s turning heads on Instagram.

One of her latest posts featured Prewett in a form-fitting short Sherri Hill dress with the flirty caption, “Roses are red, violets are blue, whoever finishes this best, dinner on me for two.”

What guy wouldn’t want to have dinner with her!? Shout-out to the eight guys I know who tried to cleverly finish her riddle, but you have some tough competition. The phrase “shoot your shot” is what this guy does for a living. In fact, his nickname is “Clutchman.”

22-year old Oriole rookie Adley Rutschman swung for the fences when he commented, “roses are red, violets are blue…. I’ll change your name to Rutschman from Prew.” Smooth move, man. Prewett responded with, “woah this is moving really fast….. first I need to know how do u say that last name.” Understandable, all she needs to know is that it rhymes with “clutchman.” Rutschman was ever so clutch in his pursuit as he responded with, “guess we will have something to talk about over dinner then😉.”

Oh, young love. Whether there are sparks or not between Prewett and Rutschman, I’m rooting for them both.

Also, Rutschman’s mother Carol is the sweetest woman and we love supporting awesome moms here. Here’s a touching Mother’s Day story between the two.
