One of the nation’s best offensive lineman has Ohio State in top 8

The Buckeyes are firmed in his recruitment #GoBucks

[autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] already has multiple 2024 offensive linemen committed, but another could be on the way.

Massachusetts lineman [autotag]Liam Andrews[/autotag] is one of those prospects still under consideration and has included Ohio State in his trimmed list. Of the eight schools remaining, no official visits have been scheduled, so it’s hard to really know which way Andrews is leaning.

What we do know is he is a take for each school on his list. Andrews stands 6 feet, 5 inches and weighs 260 pounds. He is ranked as the No. 4 best interior offensive lineman and 82nd overall player in the county on the 247Sports composite. He has played tackle for his high school, so Andrews could play almost anywhere on the line.

Big-time 4-star IOL releases top 8 schools, includes Florida

One of the best interior offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting cycle included Florida in his top-8 list.

Four-star interior offensive lineman [autotag]Liam Andrews[/autotag] out of Brookline (Massachusetts) Dexter School narrowed his list of top schools to eight on Thursday, according to the announcement made on his personal Twitter account.

The recent cut included the Florida Gators, as well as the Penn State Nittany Lions, Ohio State Buckeyes, Wisconsin Badgers, South Carolina Gamecocks, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes and Oklahoma Sooners. The 6-foot-4-inch, 270-pound lineman visited the Orange and Blue back in early April and came away satisfied with how things are panning out.

“Florida is another team recruiting me for both sides of the ball,” he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “They are a team that has had a lot of success in the 2024 recruiting cycle and a team I think could rise up in the SEC. They play top-tier competition in the SEC and offer a great degree as well.”

The rising high school senior also made several other trips visits this spring. including the Clemson Tigers and South Carolina in March, along with  Wisconsin and the Miami Hurricanes in early April.

Andrews is ranked No. 82 overall and No. 4 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 77 and 1, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Penn State in the lead for his signature with a 22.7% chance while the Boston College Eagles (15.0%), Oklahoma (8.7%) and Maryland Terrapins (3.8%) trail behind.

Every offensive lineman the Oklahoma Sooners have offered in the 2024 recruiting cycle

Which offensive linemen have the Oklahoma Sooners targeted thus far in the 2024 recruiting cycle?

The Oklahoma Sooners have created a reputation for developing NFL-caliber offensive linemen thanks to the work of offensive line coach [autotag]Bill Bedenbaugh[/autotag]. [autotag]

Creed Humphrey[/autotag] and [autotag]Orlando Brown[/autotag] are prime examples of the work that is done at OU. Humphrey is arguably the best center in the game just two years into his collegiate career.

Even prior to Bedenbaugh’s arrival in Norman, the Sooners developed two of the best offensive linemen in the NFL today, [autotag]Trent Williams[/autotag] and [autotag]Lane Johnson[/autotag]. The offensive tackles have starred in the league for much of the last decade and continue to do fantastic work at their tackle positions.

Oklahoma’s latest great offensive line talent is on his way to the NFL and has a chance to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Anton Harrison was a tremendous asset for the Oklahoma Sooners offense. He was as adept in run blocking as he was as a pass-blocker, and he takes great athleticism to Sundays.

Oklahoma’s 2023 signing class featured four-star [autotag]Cayden Green[/autotag], who was one of the best interior offensive line prospects in the country at the high school level. Oklahoma is hoping to hit home runs with late-rising offensive line signees [autotag]Joshua Bates[/autotag], [autotag]Heath Ozaeta[/autotag] and [autotag]Logan Howland[/autotag]. All four of their signees to the 2023 class are athletic and physical players who will be difference-makers on Saturdays.

With the 2023 class nearly wrapped up with national signing day just a few weeks away, the Oklahoma Sooners turn their attention to a talented 2024 offensive line class. Here’s who they’ve offered thus far in the [autotag]2024 recruiting cycle[/autotag], according to 247Sports.
