The Huskers went 26-of-53 in total shooting for the game, but their defense had no answers for the Badgers’ offense. Wisconsin went 33-of-60 in total shooting, giving it the edge over Nebraska on the afternoon.

Keisei Tominaga once again finished as the Huskers’ leading scorer. Tominaga went seven-of-ten in field goal shooting and three-of-six from beyond the arc in the loss. This translated to 17 points for the guard.

Rienk Mast finished directly behind Tominaga in points, producing 16 on the afternoon. The transfer went six-of-14 in total shooting and finished as the team’s co-leader in rebounds, hauling in six. Sam Hoiberg accompanied Mast in total rebounds, securing six as well.

Brice Williams also cracked double-digits in points scored for Nebraska, finishing with 10 points. Williams also surpassed 1,000 career points in the outing, becoming the 31st Husker in school history to reach the milestone.

With the loss, the Huskers fall to 12-3 and will return home Tuesday night for another big challenge, hosting No. 1 Purdue. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. and can be viewed on Peacock.

The Huskers took down Indiana behind another big performance from Keisei Tominaga, who put together his best game of the season.

The Olympian racked up a season-high 28 points in the win, making it his third 20-plus point game this season. He also led Nebraska in shooting, earning a season-high nine-of-15 in field goal shooting and a season-high four-of-ten in shooting from beyond the arc.

The Huskers edged out the Hoosiers in the stat sheet, going 27-of-59 from the field, 12-of-32 from 3-point range, and 20-of-26 from the free throw line. Indiana went 24-of-51, 9-of-18, and 13-of-19, respectively. Nebraska dominated in the turnover category, snatching 18 and producing 27 points. The Hoosiers managed nine turnovers for six points.

Alongside Tominaga’s performance, three other Huskers cracked double-digits in scoring. Brice Williams finished the night with 15 points, going five-of-10 in shooting, three-of-four from beyond the arc, and six rebounds.

Jamarques Lawrence scored 12 points in the win, finishing four-of-eight in shooting and two-of-six in 3-point shooting. C.J. Wilcher rounded out the majority of Nebraska’s scoring, delivering 11 points on the night and going three-of-six from beyond the arc.

Nebraska finished 25-of-72 in total shooting and 11-of-31 in three-point shooting, while also hauling 57 rebounds. This tipped the scale in the Huskers’ favor as Kansas State managed to go 16-of-60 in total shooting and four-of-30 in three-point shooting while securing only 40 rebounds.

Bradley transfer Reink Mast finished as the top scorer for Nebraska, scoring 19 points in the win. Mast also earned a double-double in the win, by snatching 12 rebounds. Mast even tied for 3-pointers in the win for Nebraska, going three-of-four beyond the arc.

Keisei Tominaga was the other Husker to land three 3-pointers in the win, going three-of-nine from beyond the arc to rack up nine points.

Juwan Gary also earned a double-double in the win, delivering 13 points and leading the team in rebounds with 18. Charlotte transfer Brice Williams almost earned a double-double in the win, scoring 10 points and hauling in nine rebounds.

Nebraska shot 27-of-54 while also landing 10-of-23 three-pointers and 13-of-15 free throws. This gave the Huskers the edge over Michigan State, who finished 27-of-62 in field goal shooting, 8-of-17 from beyond the arc, and just 8-of-9 from the free throw line.

Juwan Gary dropped 20 points on the night to lead Nebraska in scoring. Gary went 8-of-11 in shooting, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, while also securing three steals. Keisei Tominaga finished the game as the Huskers’ leader in three-pointers, landing 3-of-7 from beyond the arc to accompany his 15 points scored.

Last year, Nebraska upset the Bluejays in Omaha and looked to do it again this year in Lincoln. This did not come to pass as Creighton delivered a hard 89-60 loss to the Huskers.

Though Nebraska battled it out with the Bluejays for a majority of the first half, missed opportunities began piling up, leading to Creighton eventually pulling away. The Huskers went just 24-of-71 in field goal shooting and a season-low 2-of-22 from 3-point range. The Bluejays, on the other hand, blew by Nebraska in shooting, going 32-of-69 from the field and 14-of-40 from beyond the arc.

Keisei Tominaga finished as Nebraska’s only double-digit scorer in the loss, dropping 20 points. This is Tominaga’s second 20-plus point game of the season and fourth double-digit scoring game.

The Huskers will face their first Big Ten opponent on Wednesday as they travel up to Minnesota. Tipoff is set at 8:00 p.m. and can be viewed on the Big Ten Network.

Nebraska delivered five double-digit scorers in a highly productive outing by both teams. The Titans finished with a 41.8 shooting percentage, going 9-of-22 from beyond the arc while shooting seven free throws off nine attempts. The Huskers meanwhile shot an impressive 46.6 from the field, landing 12-of-30 3-pointers and shooting 19-of-20 from the free throw line.

Bradley transfer Rienk Mast led the charge for Nebraska, scoring 19 points, hauling in nine rebounds and going three-for-three from beyond the arc. Keisei Tominaga was also perfect in 3-point shooting, going 3-for-3 as well, which accompanied his perfect field goal shooting, going five-of-five in the win. This gave Tominaga 17 points in the win for his third double-digit game of the season.

The Huskers are now 7-0 on the season. This marks the best start in head coach Fred Hoiberg’s tenure at Nebraska. The Huskers will face their first big test of the season next Sunday, welcoming in No. 8 Creighton. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. and can be viewed on FS1.

Bradley transfer Rienk Mast finished as the Huskers’ top rebounder, snatching 13, which, paired with his 12 points scored, earned him his second straight double-double. New Mexico transfer Josiah Allick rounded out the main scoring core for Nebraska, scoring ten points while also finishing with six rebounds.

The long-awaited 2023-24 college basketball season begins today, and the Big Ten’s slate of games features 10 of the conference’s teams in action. Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and Michigan will have to wait one more day.

The Big Ten does not lack star power as the conference boasts the reigning national player of the year in Purdue’s Zach Edey as well as a bunch of premier guards. As we all know, guard play dominates college basketball, especially in March.

Before the games tip off this evening, we take a look at the top 10 Big Ten players. Are any freshmen ranked? Does any supplant Edey as number one?

A Nebraska basketball senior guard was named to the All-Big Ten preseason team. Keisei Tominaga was one of ten players selected by the vote of media that covers Big Ten basketball.

He becomes the third Husker to be named to the league’s preseason team since joining the conference in 2011-12. He joins Terran Petteway (2014) and James Palmer Jr. (2018).

Last season, Tominaga averaged 13.1 points per game and was one of six players in the country to average 50% from the field, 40% from three-point range and 85% from the foul line.

A Nebraska men’s basketball player helped his team to a group-stage victory in the FIBA World Cup.

A Nebraska men’s basketball player helped his team to a group-stage victory in the FIBA World Cup. On Sunday morning, Guard Keisei Tominaga scored 17 points in helping Team Japan to a 98-88 victory over Finland.

Japan is now 1-1 in the group stage and will play Australia on Tuesday with a chance to advance to the next round. Both teams are 1-1 in group play and behind Germany who stands at 2-0 in the group.

Tominaga is the second member of his family to play in this tournament. His father, Hiroyuki, played for Japan at the 1998 tournament in Greece.

The Cornhusker is also the fourth Nebraska men’s basketball player to participate in the FIBA World Cup. He joins Tai Webster, Jorge Brian Diaz and Bill Johnson.

Johnson won a gold medal with Team USA in 1954.
