Though Nebraska and Ohio State battled throughout the night, the Huskers failed to take the lead in the second half. The Buckeyes’ Jamison Battle dominated the game for Ohio State, scoring 32 points and going a perfect 10-of-10 from the foul line.

The 32-point effort by Battle made it the most points scored by a player against the Huskers this season. Ohio State’s main source of scoring came from the free-throw line. The Buckeyes shot 24-of-28 from the line, while Nebraska shot just 7-of-8.

Rienk Mast and Jamarques Lawrence led Nebraska in scoring, delivering 14 points apiece. Mast also hauled in 12 rebounds to post his sixth double-double of the year.

The Huskers came out on fire, finishing the first quarter up 20-8 before building the lead to 34-21 in the second quarter. Nebraska delivered a volley from beyond the arc, going 11-of-27 in three-point shooting.

Jaz Shelley finished with 16 points to lead the Huskers and went four-of-nine in three-point shooting. Shelley also led Nebraska in assists, finishing the game with seven. Natalie Potts delivered 12 points for the Huskers, going five-of-eight in total shooting.

Alexis Markowski rounded out Nebraska’s double-digit scorers in the win, scoring 10 points. Markowski also hauled in a team-high 12 rebounds to earn her 17th double-double of the season and her 38th of her career. Markowski is now 2nd in school history for double-doubles in a season and in a career.

The Huskers dominated the Hoosiers throughout the night, even ending the first half up 51-31. Though Indiana attempted a comeback, Nebraska never let the Hoosiers get close enough to take control of the game. The Huskers delivered big from beyond the arc, finishing the night by going 14-of-33 in three-point shooting.

Keisei Tominaga and Jamarques Lawrence served up most of the three-pointers. Tominaga shot four-of-nine from beyond the arc to finish the game with 20 points, leading the team in scoring. Lawrence went a perfect five-of-five from beyond the arc, wrapping up the night with 19 points.

Brice Williams scored 18 points for Nebraska, going 6-of-10 in total shooting. Juwan Gary tallied up 15 points, going 6-of-12 in shooting.

The Huskers hosted Northwestern Tuesday night for their second to last home game of the season.

The Huskers hosted Northwestern Tuesday night for their second to last home game of the season. Nebraska dominated the Wildcats throughout, resulting in a massive 75-50 win.

The Huskers controlled the game from the start, blowing past the Wildcats and ending the first quarter up 20-6. Nebraska continued its surge until the end.

Freshman Natalie Potts finished the night as Nebraska’s top scorer, dropping 18 points. She also hauled in 10 rebounds to make it her fourth double-double of the season and led the team in steals with three.

Annika Stewart finished second in scoring for the Huskers, tallying up 13 points in the win. Freshman Logan Nissley dropped 12 points and led Nebraska in assists with six.

Alexis Markowski delivered 12 points for Nebraska while also earning ten rebounds for her 15th double-double of the season. Markowski is now second in school history for career double-doubles with 37 and tied her career-high for double-doubles in a season.

The Nebraska trio of Alexis Markowski, Logan Nissley and Jaz Shelley combined for 56 points in the game. Markowski led the trio, dropping 20 points and a career-high 21 rebounds. Nissley and Shelley both scored 18 points.

Nissley’s 18 points tied her season-high, which she earned by going 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. A majority of Shelley’s points came from the free throw line, going a perfect 10-for-10. This makes Shelley the 16th player in school history to go perfect at the free throw line with a minimum of 10 free throws made.

The Huskers outshot Penn State 27-18 in baskets made, allowing them to pull away in the second half. Keisei Tominaga finished as the top scorer for Nebraska in the win, dropping 17 points and going three-of-eight from beyond the arc. The Huskers finished the game with four three-point baskets.

Juwan Gary and Rienk Mast both scored double-digit points for Nebraska in the win. Gary delivered 13 points by going five-of-nine in total shooting. Mast scored 12 points, landing five of seven shots in the win. He also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Nebraska women’s basketball hit the road following its upset win over No. 2 Iowa to take on the new No. 2 Ohio State. However, unlike their win against the Hawkeyes, the Huskers fell mightily to the Buckeyes, 80-47.

Nebraska trailed throughout the game, heading into halftime down 33-19. The Huskers fell further in the third quarter, heading into the fourth, trailing 62-34 before eventually ending the game with an 80-47 defeat.

Nebraska coughed up 30 turnovers in the loss, leading to the Buckeyes scoring 29 points off turnovers. Ohio State also landed 14 more shots than the Huskers. Not a single Husker scored double-digits, with Alexis Markowski leading Nebraska with nine points. Markowski also led the Huskers in rebounds, hauling in on the night.

Nebraska entered Sunday’s high noon showdown with an uphill battle. The Huskers hosted No. 2 Iowa with Caitlin Clark, who is 39 points away from becoming the all-time scorer in NCAA women’s basketball history. Nebraska decided to spoil the surprise, upsetting the Hawkeyes 82-79.

Iowa defeated Nebraska in every matchup since Clark donned the Hawkeye jersey. Heading into the fourth, it seemed Iowa would win once again, up 69-55. But the Huskers rallied, outscoring the Hawkeyes 27-10 in the fourth to complete the comeback.

Clark nevertheless continued to put on a show in Lincoln, dropping 31 points, delivering ten assists, and hauling in eight rebounds for Iowa.

For Nebraska, Jaz Shelley finished as the Huskers’ top scorer, dropping 23 points on the afternoon. Shelley scored 15 of her points from beyond the arc, going 5-of-10 in three-point shooting. She also scored 10 points in the fourth, including the team’s final seven points.

Kendall Moriarty, Logan Nissley, and Natalie Potts combined for the other 17 fourth-quarter points. Nissley dropped 15 points in the game and went 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. Potts delivered 14 points, scoring eight points in the fourth. Moriarty scored seven points for Nebraska on the afternoon.

Nebraska returned home Saturday night following two road losses. The Huskers welcomed in Michigan, seeking their elusive 17th win, something they haven’t done since 2018-2019. Nebraska won in dominating fashion, blowing out the Wolverines en route to a 75-59 victory.

The Huskers erupted in the first half, leading by as much as 43-13 before heading into the locker rooms up 45-25. On the night, Nebraska shot 30-of-64 while Michigan shot just 20-of-62.

Keisei Tominaga finished the night as the Huskers’ top scorer, landing 19 points, by going 8-of-14 in total shooting. Tominaga also shot 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, reaching a season total of 50 in three-pointers. He is now 17 three-pointers away from reaching the top-10 in school history for three-pointers made in a single season.

Josiah Allick took runner-up in scoring for Nebraska, dropping 16 points by going 7-of-10 in total shooting. Allick also led the Huskers in rebounds, hauling in eight. Brice Williams scored 13 points for Nebraska, shooting 5-of-9 from the field. Rienk Mast tallied up 11 points for the Huskers and led the team in assists with eight.

Points off turnovers and three-pointers were Nebraska’s main burdens throughout the game. Northwestern finished the night with 26 points off turnovers and landed 11 shots from beyond the arc. The Huskers, meanwhile, only put up seven points off turnovers and delivered just six baskets from three-point range.

Nebraska overall saw four players score double-digit points. Juwan Gary led the charge for the Huskers, tallying up 15 points. Brice Williams led the team in rebounds with 10, accompanying his total of 13 points scored to earn his first double-double of the season. Jamarques Lawrence scored 12 points, and Keisei Tominaga rounded the squad with 11 points.
