UCLA commit Jadyn Hudson praises DeShaun Foster

Hudson praises the UCLA HC.

It has been a wild ride for new Bruins head coach DeShaun Foster. After getting the job following the departure of Chip Kelly, all signs indicate that he has changed the culture of the program. This week, one of his commits backed that up.

2025 safety commit Jadyn Hudson praised Foster this week, saying, “Coach Foster is changing things. I like who he is, and he is going to turn UCLA around. The players love him.”

Hudson’s comments come on the heels of scrutiny and several rankings, putting Foster and the Bruins at the bottom of several prominent BIG 10 lists. That said, with the support of his players, Foster could turn some heads during the 2024 season.

Moreover, the Bruins under Kelly had a disengaged feeling at times during 2023. Striking out several times in recruiting and looking to jump ship back to the NFL, the Bruins needed a change in the coaching position. Perhaps, despite some of the projections, the Bruins overachieve and strengthen their case in recruiting battles under Foster this season.

UCLA lands highly-ranked 2025 safety

Big get for UCLA!

The UCLA Bruins football program continues to hit home runs on the recruiting front. Over the weekend, the Bruins landed four-star safety and the top-ranked in the Class of 2025 from the state of California, Jadyn Hudson.

Hudson has drawn a ton of interest from a number of programs and is staying in California as he decided to play for UCLA. The finalists for Hudson were UCLA, Tennessee, Ohio State, and rival USC, so him coming to Westwood is a massive addition.

Hudson also had offers from programs such as Arizona, Georgia, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, Oregon State, and plenty of others.

Hudson plays at Pittsburg High School in Northern California, so staying local seemed to play a big factor in his decision.

Once again, DeShaun Foster and his coaching staff have hit a home run in the recruiting front and are looking dangerous in the future.

On3 updates recruiting rankings for 2025 class with LSU leading the way

LSU now has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2025 according to On3.

On3 recently released an update to its 2025 recruiting class rankings. LSU now has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2025 according to On3.

The Tigers 2025 class is highlighted by two five-star players. [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag], the No. 1 recruit in the country and possibly a future star quarterback, and [autotag]Dakorien Moore[/autotag], a five-star wide receiver who is the No. 1 player at his position.

Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson and Alabama join LSU to round out the top five in the recruiting rankings. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is not done getting recruits for that class either as the Tigers are in contention to land a lot more four-star players in the class, mostly from Louisiana.

Between the 2025 recruiting class out of high school and whoever Kelly pulls from the transfer portal, this could be one of the best recruiting classes LSU has ever had. [autotag]James Simon[/autotag], [autotag]DJ Pickett[/autotag], and [autotag]Jadyn Hudson[/autotag] are three more names to keep an eye on in that class.

Ducks land two projections to secure commitments from blue-chip players in 2025 class

The Oregon Ducks picked up a pair of blue-chip crystal ball predictions from Nasir Wyatt and Jadyn Hudson this week.

The Oregon Ducks have been off to a hot start on the 2025 recruiting trail, sitting with one of the top classes in the nation and coming off of a couple-weekend stretch where they hosted some of the most coveted players in the nation.

One of the players that visited — 4-star EDGE Nasir Wyatt — is really starting to trend Oregon’s way. The blue-chip defender from Mater Dei down in California has been projected to land with the Ducks, with a few 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions coming in earlier this month from Steve Wiltfong, Brandon Huffman, and Greg Biggins. On Wednesday, 247Sports analyst Tom Loy also put in a prediction for Wyatt, the No. 2 EDGE and No. 27 player in the 2025 class, to choose Oregon.

Loy also placed another Crystal Ball prediction on Wednesday, saying that 4-star safety Jadyn Hudson is likely to commit to the Oregon Ducks as well. Hudson is rated as the No. 8 safety and No. 96 overall player in the class.

At the moment, Oregon has the No. 11 class in the 2025 cycle, but if they could add both of these players, Dan Lanning would be well on his way to securing another top-5 ranked class this year.

Ohio State offers 5-star 2025 California safety

The Buckeyes are after a 5-star Cali safety #GoBucks

For [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag], safety this past season was a bit of a mixed bag. There were some good plays and some bad ones mixed in as well.

One way to fix those problems is to sign some top prospects as the position, and California’s [autotag]Jadyn Hudson[/autotag] is viewed as one of the best. Although it took Ohio State a bit longer than some other schools to make a move on Hudson, they now have as they offered him a scholarship.

The 6-foot, 2-inch, 175-pound safety is rated as the No. 15 overall player and 3rd safety, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. That ranking is good enough to make him a 5-star prospect.

According to this report by Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, Hudson didn’t mention Ohio State when asked about his top schools in a recent interview. This was before the offer so we will see if the interest is mutual between the two.

Tigers offer 2025 athlete from California

Brian Kelly and the Tigers are one of the first programs to offer Jadyn Hudson.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the LSU Tigers are one of the first teams that have checked in on one of the top rising sophomores in the nation, [autotag]Jadyn Hudson[/autotag].

Hudson is a six-foot-two, 175-pound athlete from Pittsburg, California, where he plays for Pittsburg High School. Last year, the Pittsburg Pirates finished the season 9-3 with a loss in the playoffs to Liberty. During his freshman season, Hudson had six receptions for 63 yards and zero touchdowns. That will definitely trend upward as his career moves forward.

As of now, the Michigan Wolverines are a 62% favorite to land the talented athlete per On3 recruiting. Hopefully, Kelly can find a way to get the Tigers to be a top factor in the final decision.
