The Oklahoma Sooners are hosting a number of prospects over the next few recruiting cycles for their season opener. Who’s will be in attendance?

Oklahoma’s first game of the season comes against Arkansas State in what could be a blistering day in Norman, Oklahoma. Aside from the pageantry of the first game and the excitement it’ll generate, the Sooners will also be playing host to a number future Sooners and other OU targets.

With the summer dead period officially over, athletes can revisit schools. Oklahoma has already established a nice little list of visitors of both the official and unofficial variety.

We’ve taken the liberty of compiling a list of all the visitors we know now.

UGA football offers 6-foot-8 OT

UGA football has offered elite offensive tackle recruit Jackson Cantwell.

The Georgia Bulldogs and offensive line coach Stacy Searels have extended a scholarship offer to talented offensive tackle recruit Jackson Cantwell.

Cantwell is a member of the class of 2026. He plays high school football for Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle is still filling in his frame. Cantwell is currently an unranked recruit due to his young age. He is entering his sophomore season of high school.

Cantwell visited Georgia in late July and attended a camp with the Dawgs. He walked away with a scholarship offer.

Jackson Cantwell is a good student and great athlete. He also plays basketball and participates in track and field in the discus and shot put events. Cantwell can already bench over 400 pounds.

The rising standout in the class of 2026 already has scholarship offers from Alabama, Michigan State, and Oregon.

The Nixa star announced his scholarship offer from the University of Georgia via Twitter:

Oklahoma Sooners offer 2026 OT from Missouri

The Oklahoma Sooners offer 2026 offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell out of Missouri.

Just because we haven’t finished the [autotag]2024 recruiting cycle[/autotag] doesn’t mean the coaches aren’t already laying the groundwork for future classes.

We’ve already seen 2025 with a pair of commitments in Kevin Sperry and Gracen Harris, but the offers are already rolling for the 2026 recruiting cycle.

This one comes in the form of a 6-foot-8, 270-pound offensive tackle from Nixa, Missouri, Jackson Cantwell.

This offer is one of several following Oklahoma’s camp they held this weekend.

Cantwell said on his Twitter page that he was not able to attend the event on June 1 due to some change of plans. However, he would be making the trip up on Friday, June 2 for an unofficial visit.

Later in the day on June 3, he followed up on his previous tweet talking about how much fun he had and that he got an offer from the Sooners.

Now, 2026 is still a few years out there so he currently doesn’t have any stars but if Bill Bedenbaugh thinks he’s good enough for an offer, I think his track record is good enough for OU fans to trust him.

Also, it’s not every day you find a kid his age who is already that big. According to his Hudl page, he already benches 420 pounds, cleans 315 pounds, and squats 470 pounds.

This kid appears to be headed for a bright future ahead.
