Auburn gets prediction to land 2026 standout Hezekiah Harris

As Auburn football is continually pushing for a great results on the recruiting trail, On3 has logged a prediction for Hezekiah Harris to land on the Plains

Auburn football is in the midst of recruiting battles day in and day out in the offseason, especially with the recent completion of the team’s annual A-Day game. Coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] is trying to impress many potential Tigers and make a national statement.

One of those potential recruits is four-star EDGE [autotag]Hezekiah Harris[/autotag] out of Mae Jemison High School (Ala.), who recently landed a prediction from On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine to commit to Auburn.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has the chance to be the third player from the 2026 recruiting class to commit to the Tigers. He would join [autotag]Denairius Gray[/autotag] and [autotag]Kail Ellis[/autotag] on that front but would be the first defensive player to join the class.

According to the On3 industry rankings, Harris is ranked No. 24 in the nation in the recruiting class while also being the No. 4 EDGE. In the state of Alabama, he is in the No. 2 spot.

Harris is also being pursued by Alabama and Mississippi State, but Auburn seems to be the heavy favorite as of late.

Sooners 2026 QB target Dereon Coleman set for an unofficial visit to Norman

QB prospect Dereon Coleman set for unofficial visit to Norman.

Oklahoma’s top quarterback target for the class of 2026 is four-star prospect [autotag]Dereon Coleman[/autotag]. The talented signal-caller will be making an unofficial visit to Norman.

In a post on his social media page, Coleman announced he would visit April 11 and 12.

This is significant as the Sooners have already received multiple predictions in favor of Coleman to land with Oklahoma. So, getting him in the building should truly only add to the lead that Oklahoma may already have.

Oklahoma has plenty of quarterback depth on the roster right now. [autotag]Jackson Arnold[/autotag] takes over as the starter in 2024 and will likely hold the job through at least the 2025 season. Following Arnold, [autotag]Michael Hawkins[/autotag] and [autotag]Brendan Zurbrugg[/autotag] will have the first crack at the starting job and current commit [autotag]Kevin Sperry[/autotag] is expected to join the roster next spring.

Coleman seems to be the Sooners’ number one focus at the position for 2026. He grew up an OU fan, so in many ways, this may be the perfect fit.

Aside from Oklahoma, Coleman is being recruited heavily by Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and USF.

As it stands, Oklahoma has just one commit in the [autotag]2026 recruiting class[/autotag]: four-star running back [autotag]Jonathon Hatton[/autotag].

Sooners earn another Futurecast for 2026 4-star QB Dereon Coleman

The Oklahoma Sooners continue to trend for 2024 four-star quarterback Dereon Coleman.

The Oklahoma Sooners only have one player committed to the [autotag]2026 recruiting class[/autotag] at this time, four-star running back [autotag]Jonathan Hatton[/autotag]. But they continue to trend in a positive direction for another blue-chip player.

It looks like the Oklahoma Sooners have zeroed in on their quarterback for the 2026 recruiting class. Four-star prospect [autotag]Dereon Coleman[/autotag] has been projected to the Sooners multiple times over the last couple of months.

OUInsider’s Brandon Drumm joined the crew with a Rivals Futurecast favoring the Sooners in Coleman’s recruitment.

Here’s what Sooners Wire’s Bryant Crews had to say about Coleman.

Coleman is a smaller quarterback prospect, standing at six feet. He throws a nice tight spiral and showcases some arm strength, ripping passes over the middle of the field. He also showed the ability to buy time with his athleticism while simultaneously looking down the field to make plays with his arm. – Bryant Crews, Sooners Wire

There isn’t a timetable for Coleman’s commitment at this time, but it looks like the Sooners have put themselves in a great position to earn his commitment.

Nebraska offers three-star defenisve end Landon Bland

The Nebraska Cornhuskers became the second program to offer 2026 defensive end Landon Bland last week.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers became the second program to offer 2026 defensive end Landon Bland last week. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound edge rusher from Carthage, Missouri, reported an offer from the Huskers last Thursday.

According to Bland’s tweet on X, he received the offer after a conversation with Nebraska’s Director of Player Personnel, Keith Williams.

In addition to his offer from the Cornhuskers, Bland also holds an offer from Wisconsin, a Big Ten rival. Kansas State and Missouri have also shown interest in Bland but have yet to offer the rising 2026 athlete.

The Cornhuskers currently have no commitments in the 2026 recruiting cycle but do hold a trio of commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle, all from Nebraska natives. The Huskers have signed prospects from Missouri in each of their last two recruiting classes and in three of five since 2020.

Cornhuskers offer rising 2026 offensive lineman Cannon Pickett

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered 2026 offensive lineman Cannon PIckett, a rising prospect out of Tampa, Florida.

A quick-rising name in the 2026 recruiting cycle is Tampa, Florida, offensive tackle Cannon Pickett.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman out of the Wharton School in Tampa has up to 14 scholarship offers in his recruitment, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers are one of the programs to offer Pickett most recently.

Late last week, Pickett reported an offer from the Huskers, the 14th offer at the time in his recruitment. Shortly afterward, he would pick up offer No. 15 from Ole Miss.

Pickett is ranked as a top-250 prospect by both On3 and Rivals in the 2026 recruiting class. Rivals is the highest on Pickett, rating him as a four-star prospect and No. 177 overall.

Other programs that have offered Pickett include Florida, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, and Syracuse.

The Cornhuskers currently do not hold any commitments in their 2026 recruiting class.

Auburn targeting 2026 TE Nalin Scott

Auburn is hoping to be a big player in the race for 2026 tight end Nalin Scott, competing against many major programs for the prospect.

Auburn football is always on the hunt when it comes to the recruiting game, trying to beat out other schools for some of the nation’s top prospects. That holds even if the athletes are still a couple of years from being seniors.

The Tigers are slowly beginning to move towards pushing on 2026 targets, one of those being a tight end in [autotag]Nalin Scott[/autotag].

The six-foot-three, 185-pound force already has a trip lined up to visit the Plains, while also visiting schools like Georgia, UCF and Tennessee. Auburn’s biggest competitor in this race is proving to be Clemson, a place that Scott has just visited for the fourth time.

The recruit from Kennesaw Mountain (Ga.) is not yet rated with On3 but is looking to be heavily targeted by many other programs. The Tigers’ future at the tight end and receiver position will certainly be benefited should they become a strong player in this race and land him.

LSU receives RPM prediction for the No. 1 recruit in the 2026 class

The No. 1 player in the 2026 recruiting class has recently received a projection to commit to LSU.

The No. 1 player in the 2026 recruiting class has recently received a projection via the On3 Ratings Prediction Machine to commit to LSU. Billy Embody has projected [autotag]Jahkeem Stewart[/autotag] to commit to LSU at a confidence level of 75%.

Stewart is a 6-foot-6, 270-pound, four-star defensive lineman from New Orleans where he plays for St. Augustine High School. The St. Augustine Purple Knights finished the 2023 season with a 4-8 record and a loss to John Curtis Christian in the second round of the playoffs.

Stewart finished the season with 85 tackles, 20 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, and six forced fumbles. His nickname is “Thanos.” He hasn’t received any Crystal Ball projections on 247Sports but LSU is a 93% favorite to land him per On3.

LSU’s [autotag]2026 recruiting class[/autotag] currently does not have any commitments. The kids in that class are going into their Junior season next fall so they have a little bit of time to figure out where they want to go.

Huskers offer rising 2026 Oklahoma athlete Mason James

The Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday offered a fast rising class of 2026 recruit out of Oklahoma.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the latest program to offer rising 2026 athlete Mason James, a product of Norman North High School in Norman, Oklahoma.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver and cornerback reported the offer from the Huskers on Friday. Nebraska joins Texas A&M, Miami, Kansas State, Tennessee, Oregon, Arkansas, Kansas, Arizona State, and Oklahoma in extending offers.

All his offers except the one from the hometown Oklahoma Sooners were extended to James on January 18. His offer from the Huskers was made by wide receivers coach Garret McGuire, likely indicating that Nebraska will be looking to recruit the Oklahoma native to the Huskers as a wide receiver.

Sooners earn prediction for talented in-state 2026 CB Evenson Malaska

Oklahoma predicted to land commitment for 2026 CB Evenson Malaska.

Cornerback has been a revitalized position since [autotag]Brent Venables[/autotag] was hired. Oklahoma has changed the caliber of athletes and the type of cornerbacks they have recruited.

Venables’ hire of [autotag]Jay Valai[/autotag] to take over as the cornerbacks’ coach has paid off in spades. The depth and talent in the room have been elevated tremendously in just a couple of years. This upcoming year may be the biggest test yet as this proves to be year three in this defense. Not only do the Sooners have talent, but they also have depth and multiple guys with real game experience.

Their 2025 recruiting efforts have not been fruitful at cornerback, but they expect that to change soon.

In the 2026 class, things have barely materialized in terms of their prospect board, but one name has popped out enough that Josh McCuiston of Sooners Scoop has placed an On3 prediction favoring the Sooners to land 2026 prospect Evenson Malaska out of Bethany, Oklahoma.

Malaska has ties to the Sooners. Malaska’s brother, Jocelyn, transferred to Oklahoma this winter after beginning his college career with the Utah Utes.

The older Malaska cited his relationship with Jay Valai as essential in transferring back to his home state to play for the home team. Valai’s influence and connection have moved on through the bloodline and resonated with Evenson.

Evenson camped with Oklahoma last summer and received his first college offer after showing out. He played his freshman season with 2023 Oklahoma signee Taylor Heim, too. So Oklahoma has a plethora of influences that are pulling the athletic sophomore defender to Norman.

Things have yet to progress enough to a commitment, but it’s hard to imagine that Oklahoma won’t be a leading contender for Malaska’s services until he commits.
