Top photos from Georgia’s win over Georgia Tech

Let’s take a look at the best photos from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Georgia Bulldogs football game

Georgia football got off to a slow start in the Bulldogs’ 37-14 win over in-state rival Georgia Tech. Georgia has finished consecutive regular seasons undefeated for the first time in school history.

Stetson Bennett threw two touchdown passes, but did not pass for a lot of yardage in Georgia’s home win. Brock Bowers had a big touchdown catch. The Georgia defense shut down Georgia Tech after allowing a first quarter touchdown.

Georgia has won 27 consecutive regular season games dating back to 2020. The Bulldogs have more big games to play including the SEC championship.

Here’s a look at the top photos from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Georgia Bulldogs football game.

Georgia finishes another season undefeated after beating Tech

The Georgia Bulldogs have finished consecutive regular seasons undefeated for the first time in school history.

The Georgia Bulldogs have finished consecutive regular seasons undefeated for the first time in school history. Georgia got off to a slow start in the Dawgs’ 37-14 win over Georgia Tech.

The Bulldogs held a narrow 10-7 lead at halftime. Georgia turned it around in the second half thanks to a strong rushing attack and a few Georgia Tech miscues.

Tight end Brock Bowers made a clutch catch on forth down in the third quarter to help Georgia open up a large lead. Bowers caught the ball, which was underthrown, inches from the ground.

Georgia outscored Georgia Tech 27-7 in the second half. The Bulldogs settled for a few too many field goals and could have had better execution in the red zone.

Georgia’s passing attack was disappointing in the home victory. The Dawgs passed for only 138 yards against Georgia Tech. Stetson Bennett completed 10 of 18 passes for 135 yards. He threw two touchdown passes. Georgia’s offense finished with 268 rushing yards.

Georgia’s passing game needs to step up in the SEC championship game against LSU.

Defensively, Georgia recovered after allowing an early rushing touchdown to Georgia Tech. The Dawgs sacked the Yellow Jackets four times.

UGA-Georgia Tech series history

The Georgia Bulldogs will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for the first time since 2018.

The Georgia Bulldogs will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Athens, Georgia, for the first time since 2018. The 2020 edition of Georgia-Georgia Tech was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Georgia Tech began Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate with a decent record, but the Yellow Jackets have struggled against Georgia recently. Georgia has outscored Georgia Tech 97-7 in the last two meetings between the rivals.

Georgia enters the 2022 edition of the in-state rivalry as the top-ranked team in the country. The Bulldogs are undefeated and likely headed for the College Football Playoff unless Georgia falls to Georgia Tech or LSU.

UGA assistant named as candidate for Georgia Tech coaching vacancy

A key Georgia football assistant has been named as a top candidate for the Georgia Tech head coaching job.

Georgia Bulldogs running back coach Dell McGee has been named as a top candidate for the Georgia Tech head coaching vacancy. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fired head coach Geoff Collins.

Collins struggled to win games during his 38-game career as head coach. The Yellow Jackets went 10-28 during Collins’ tenure. Georgia Tech elected to move on from Collins after a loss to UCF on Sept. 24.

Now, Georgia Tech will begin the process of finding a new head coach. 247Sports’ Carl Reed named Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders, Coastal Carolina head coach Jamey Caldwell, FSU offensive coordinator Alex Atkins and McGee as potential candidates for the Yellow Jackets.

McGee would be a great hire for Georgia Tech. He knows the state of Georgia very well and is one of the best recruiters on Kirby Smart’s staff. Georgia certainly does not want McGee to leave. He plays a critical role for Smart and the program.

Additionally, McGee has experience as Georgia Southern’s interim coach back in 2015. McGee .

Georgia-Georgia Tech game time, TV set

The Georgia Bulldogs are traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, to face Georgia Tech on Nov. 27 at noon EST.

The Georgia Bulldogs are traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, to face Georgia Tech on Nov. 27 at noon EST.  The game, which will be televised on ABC, will be Georgia’s last challenge of the regular season.

If Georgia can beat Georgia Tech, then the Bulldogs will be a lock for the College Football Playoff. Kirby Smart and Georgia did not play Georgia Tech in 2020, when both teams played conference-only regular season schedules.

Georgia Tech is 3-7 so far this season. The Yellow Jackets have a pair of Power Five wins in 2021 against UNC and Duke, but fell to Northern Illinois to begin the season.

Georgia Tech’s last four games have all been decided by less than 12 points, but the Yellow Jackets have lost each game. Georgia Tech head coach Geoff Collins isn’t necessarily on the hot seat, but it is looking like it will be a disappointing 3-9 campaign for the Yellow Jackets.

Contrarily, Georgia is 10-0 and finished undefeated in SEC regular season play. Georgia will likely play in the College Football Playoff regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship Game.

Georgia Tech plays Notre Dame on Nov. 20 before hosting UGA. Georgia faces Charleston Southern the week before traveling to Atlanta.

Look: Former UGA HC Mark Richt poses in Georgia Tech gear

Former UGA football HC Mark Richt posed in a Georgia Tech sweatshirt while touring the campus with the ACC Network.

Mark Richt, 60, coached at Georgia for 15 seasons before finishing his career with three years at Miami.

Now a college football analyst with the ACC Network, Richt tweeted that he plans on visiting each campus in the conference in an attempt to “get to know each program better.”

Richt kicked things off with a visit to Clemson, and then traveled to Atlanta for an inside look at the Georgia Tech program, one of his biggest rivals during his long coaching career.

But what Richt was wearing caused Georgia fans to do a double take just to make sure that it’s the same man who coached between the hedges for 15 seasons.

Richt was donning a Georgia Tech quarter-zip and tweeted a photo of himself with the caption: “Don’t tell anyone!”

He also dined with Tech head coach Geoff Collins at the Waffle House.

While at Georgia, Richt compiled a 13-2 record vs Georgia Tech, with the two losses coming by a combined total of nine points.

Despite the fact that Richt is expected to drop any bias in order to do his job correctly, it’s likely that CMR still felt a hint of guilt while wearing those hideous colors.

Twitter goes crazy as former UGA HC Mark Richt visits Georgia Tech

Former Georgia Bulldog and Miami Hurricane head coach Mark Richt visited Georgia Tech and wore Yellow Jackets gear.

For Georgia Bulldog fans who aren’t aware, former Georgia Bulldog and Miami Hurricane head coach Mark Richt works for the ACC Network. As a part of his job, he’s getting more familiar with every program in the ACC conference.

Fortunately for Richt, he does not have to endure the rigorous schedule associated with visiting all fourteen SEC programs. Instead, he is getting more familiar with all fourteen teams in the ACC throughout the spring and before the season in August. Richt outlined his plan via Twitter:

Georgia fans can breath a sigh of relief. Their former head coach wasn’t going to visit hated rival Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets just for fun. Before visiting Atlanta, Richt saw Clemson’s elite program:

Now, Richt is learning more about the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets well ahead of the 2020 college football season. It’s strange seeing Richt wear the opposition’s colors:

These pictures alone were enough to trigger Georgia Bulldogs Twitter into having a field day:

Georgia football S Richard LeCounte posts epic troll after Tech win

UGA football safety Richard LeCounte posted an epic troll a after the Georgia Bulldogs win over Georgia Tech.

Georgia safety Richard LeCounte played incredible football in the month of November, from breaking up a fourth and short for Florida to recovering a fumble after a great play vs Texas A&M to aiding in holding Georgia Tech to 139 total yards on Saturday.

Following the game, LeCounte posted one of the greatest photos of the 2019 season to Twitter, a picture of him posing in front of Georgia Tech students following the game.

Never change, #2.
