Georgia football has offered a scholarship to another talented wide receiver, Koby Howard. Can the Dawgs continue recruiting Florida at an elite level?

Georgia football has offered a scholarship to another talented wide receiver recruit in Florida. On Jan. 26, Georgia offered a scholarship to Koby Howard.

Howard is a member of the class of 2025 and plays high school football for Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Florida. The freshman in high school already has offers from Georgia, South Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Troy and Florida State.

Howard is 5 feet, 11 inches and 175 pounds. He is an unranked recruit at the moment due to his age, but preliminary ratings have him as one of the top receivers in his class. The class of 2025 wide receiver has taken multiple visits to Florida State.

Georgia has been recruiting Florida heavily since Kirby Smart took the head coaching job in Athens. In fact, Georgia (4) signed more top-10 players in Florida in the class of 2022 than Miami (0), Florida (1) and Florida State (1) combined.

Howard announced his scholarship offer from Georgia football via Twitter:

UGA offers 2024 safety Jarvis Boatright

The Georgia Bulldogs are the first major college football program to offer a scholarship to 2024 safety recruit Jarvis Boatright.

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to safety recruit Jarvis Boatright. The Bulldogs join Duke and Tennessee as schools to offer Boatright. Georgia was the first to offer Boatright, so that may stand out in his mind in the future.

Boatright is a member of the class of 2024. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound safety will continue filling out his frame as he develops with Clearwater High School (Florida). One thing that stands out about Boatright is his impressive work in the classroom (3.7 GPA per his Twitter account).

Boatright additionally plays running back for Clearwater. He’s earned the attention of college football recruiting analyst Tom Lemming, who touts Boatright as a member of his 2024 All-American team.

The class of 2024 safety is an unranked prospect at the moment, but that will change. Boatright is fast and can deliver big hits. He does a good job of attacking the football to force a fumble in the highlight below:

Boatright was thrilled to announce his scholarship offer from the University of Georgia via Twitter:

Robinson served as a graduate assistant at Georgia under Mark Richt from 2013-2014. Robinson also held a similar role at Ole Miss and Mississippi State before becoming the linebackers coach at Florida under Dan Mullen in 2018. Billy Napier and the Florida Gators moved on from Robinson following their bowl game.

Robinson recorded 159 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss during his career with Georgia. Robinson served as Florida’s interim defensive coordinator after the Gators lost to South Carolina this season. Robinson did not do enough for Napier to retain him.

The Auburn Tigers hired Robinson on Jan. 22. Auburn officially announced the move via Twitter:

Auburn is an excellent landing spot for Robinson, who will continue to coach in the SEC. Robinson will also be the defensive run game coordinator for the Tigers.

Dillon Bell plays high school football in Houston, Texas, at The Kinkaid School. Bell is quite a versatile player and played several offensive positions for his high school team.

Dillon Bell received a scholarship offer from the University of Georgia in June 2021. Now, he is the No. 25 signee for Georgia. He joins three other wide receivers in UGA’s class of 2022.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound recruit received significant recruiting interest from schools like Michigan, Minnesota, and Colorado. Bell also runs track for The Kinkaid School. He has over 15 scholarship offers from top college football programs across the country.

His high school team does a good job of getting him the ball in open space. He will be fun to watch play at the next level. This play is an example of what Bell can do with the ball in his hands:

Dillon Bell is excellent after the catch. He frequently shows impressive agility in his highlights. Here are highlights from Bell’s junior season:

Georgia football celebrates national championship win

Georgia football is national champions for the first time since 1980. The Bulldogs won the national championship game 33-18 against the vaunted Alabama Crimson Tide.

Georgia football is national champions for the first time since 1980. The Bulldogs won the national championship game 33-18 against the vaunted Alabama Crimson Tide.

Georgia fans, players, and coaches celebrated the championship victory across the country. Athens, Georgia, is going crazy. One former player celebrated a child birth and the national championship. Nakobe Dean accidentally wore an Alabama hat after the win. Players lined up to pet Uga.

Here’s how Georgia Bulldog nation celebrated and reacted to the national championship:

David Pollack’s preseason prediction can come true

Former Georgia Bulldog David Pollack’s preseason prediction on College GameDay can come full circle in the national championship

Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive end David Pollack still has a chance to correctly pick two of the most important games of the college football season. Pollack made a pair of preseason predictions on Aug. 30, 2021.

Before the start of the season, Pollack predicted Georgia would win the national championship after losing to Alabama in the SEC championship.

Pollack is a college football analyst who appears on ESPN’s “College GameDay.” However, Pollack no longer feels as confident in his Bulldogs after their loss to Alabama in the SEC championship.

Georgia Bulldog fans hope Pollack’s prediction comes true. Kirby Smart and Georgia have a big challenge against Nick Saban and Alabama.

David Pollack’s preseason prediction did not entirely work out. Ohio State and Oklahoma both missed the College Football Playoff, but the duo were good preseason picks. Nobody expected Cincinnati and Michigan to make the playoffs before the season began.

We all know who former Georgia Bulldogs defensive end David Pollack will cheer for in the national championship. Preston Mack-USA TODAY Sports

The 2021 college football season has been refreshing because the sport has been a little more unpredictable (outside of Alabama winning). Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma all missed the college football playoff. Michigan, which began the season unranked, made the playoffs  along with the first Group of Five team, Cincinnati.

Defensively, cornerback Derion Kendrick had two interceptions and linebacker Nakobe Dean forced a fumble. The Wolverines averaged 3.4 yards per carry against UGA’s strong front seven.

Stetson Bennett and the Georgia offense did not turn the ball over.

Billy Napier and the Florida Gators are moving on from their linebackers coach, Christian Robinson. Robinson, who played linebacker at Georgia from 2009-2012, is now looking for another coaching position.

Robinson served as a graduate assistant at Georgia under Mark Richt from 2013-2014. Robinson also held a similar role at Ole Miss and Mississippi State before becoming the linebackers coach at Florida in 2018.

Napier has decided on much of his support staff at Florida. Napier, the former Louisiana Lafayette football coach, will now focus on bringing in transfers and recruits to offset the large loss of talent that is leaving the program.

Christian Robinson recorded 159 tackles and 4.5 tackles during his career with Georgia. Robinson served as Florida’s interim defensive coordinator after the Gators lost to South Carolina this season. Robinson did not do enough for Napier to retain him on the staff.

Robinson thanked Florida in a Tweet. The Gators moved on from Robinson following their bowl game defeat to UCF:

It will be interesting to where Robinson decides to coach next. Robinson is one of many former Georgia Bulldogs in the college coaching ranks.

Bowers will have a chance to break the school record in the College Football Playoff semifinals against Michigan. Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines will plan to limit Bowers, but that is easier said than done.

Brock Bowers was a mismatch against Alabama in the SEC championship. Bowers burned Alabama for 10 receptions, 139 receiving yards, and one touchdown. Bowers showed an impressive catch radius and had a few broken tackles on his touchdown reception.

Bowers deserved to be a finalist for the John Mackey Award, which is awarded to the nation’s top tight end. Bowers will have an opportunity to win the award again next year. For now, he is focused on helping Georgia make it back to the National Championship.
