Nebraska Football gets Big Noon Kickoff slot vs Indiana

Nebraska football will be showcased on a national level this weekend.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers’ upcoming game against the Indiana Hoosiers on October 19 will be the Fox Big Noon Kickoff game of the week. This announcement was made on social media on Saturday.

Both teams were on a bye week this past week. Indiana is coming off a 41-24 win over the Northwestern Wildcats last Saturday, and Nebraska is riding high off a 17-10 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

These two programs have a history with each other. Indiana leads the all-time series by a 10-9 margin. Nebraska beat Indiana by a 35-21 score the last time these two teams played in October 2022. Nebraska last won in Bloomington in October 2016.

This will certainly be a fascinating contest, and Nebraska will have a chance to snap its losing streak against ranked opponents. The Hoosiers come into the game ranked 18th in the country.

It will be interesting to see how Nebraska matches up against the Hoosiers. This will be another big test for a rebuilding program that needs a signature win.

Rap icon set to perform at Fox Big Noon Kickoff before Wisconsin vs. Alabama on Saturday

Rap icon Offset will perform live on Fox Big Noon Kickoff ahead of Wisconsin’s Week 3 contest against Alabama on Saturday.

Slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. ET, the pregame show will already feature several legends including former Alabama running back Mark Ingram II, USC quarterback Matt Leinart, Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer.

Offset, a member of the famous hip-hop group Migos, will now join the fold before what is easily Wisconsin’s most significant game of the 2024 season thus far.

Even though ESPN will not send its College GameDay crew to Madison this weekend, the Badgers will certainly receive enough national attention for the game, and hopefully afterward as well.

Sports Business Journal notes that Big Noon Kickoff averaged over one million viewers through the first 10 weeks of the 2023 season. Given conference realignment and the depth in prolific players in college football, this number will surely rise as the 2024 slate pans out.

The network’s last national visit to Wisconsin was back in Oct. 2021 when the Badgers lost to the Michigan Wolverines 38-17. Wisconsin has received six Big Noon Kickoff on-site appearances and is 0-5 in its previous Big Noon matches since its inception in 2019.

Despite posting a 2-0 mark to start the season, Wisconsin’s offense has appeared stagnant. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has flashed some skill, but he will need to discover some consistency in the pass game to remain in arms reach of the Crimson Tide at Camp Randall.

Week 2 College Football: Where is ESPN GameDay and Fox Big Noon Kickoff?

Here is a look at where the ESPN College Game Day and FOX Big Noon Kickoff crew is at for Week 2.

Week Two of the College Football season has arrived, and the ESPN College GameDay and FOX Big Noon Kickoff crews are on the move. The ESPN GameDay crew was in College Station Texas last week, as Notre Dame was able to upset the Texas A&M Aggies. FOX Big Noon Kickoff was in Morgantown, as the West Virginia Mountaineers lost at home to Penn State.

For this week, both the ESPN Game Day crew and the FOX Big Noon kickoff crew will be in Ann Arbor Michigan for the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines battle.

Both teams come into the game with a 1-0 record. Texas smashed Colorado State in their opener, and the defending champion Michigan Wolverines beat Fresno State.

Steve Sarkisian and his Longhorns will be playing in SEC action soon. This is their first season after leaving the Big 12. This is just the second meeting of all time between the Longhorns and Wolverines. Texas beat Michigan in 2005 at the Rose Bowl.

Where is College GameDay and Big Noon Kickoff headed for Week 2?

The ESPN College GameDay and FOX Big Noon Kickoff crews will both be in Ann Arbor for Texas at Michigan im Week 2.

Week 2 of the college football season is here, and the folks at ESPN GameDay and FOX Big Noon Kickoff are on the move again. The College GameDay crew will head to Ann Arbor Michigan for the week’s best game, when the Michigan Wolverines host the Texas Longhorns in the Big House.

Ann Arbor will be rocking as the visitors from Texas come into the game ranked third in the country after demolishing Colorado State in Week 1. The Wolverines are also 1-0 after a 30-10 win over Fresno State.

College GameDay will start at 9:00 AM ET and run through the kickoffs at 12:00.

It was the first time that the Big Noon Kickoff crew was in Morgantown. It did not go well for the home team, as the Nittany Lions beat up the Mountaineers.

Fox ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ crew picks winners of Ohio State vs. Michigan in ‘The Game’

Here’s who the Fox Big Noon Kickoff crew picked to win between Ohio State and Michigan. #GoBucks #The Game

It’s big game day Ohio State fans, and it’s one of the biggest in the history of the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry, not only because of where each team is in the standings and rankings, but because of all of the off-the-field stuff swirling around the Wolverines.

You know it’s a big one when both the ESPN “College GameDay” crew and Fox “Big Noon Kickoff” show is on site in Ann Arbor to take it all in.

Buckeye Nation has one of its own on the set of the Fox crew in former head coach Urban Meyer, and we always like to keep track of the picks he and his colleagues make in the biggest of games.

Here’s how all of the members of the Fox crew picked to win in the 118th edition of “The Game” on Saturday.

Urban Meyer and Fox Big Noon Kickoff crew picks winner of Ohio State vs. Penn State

Who did each member of the Fox Big Noon Kickoff crew pick to win between Ohio State and Penn State? #GoBucks

It’s game day for the Ohio State football team, but not just any game day. Ohio State is hosting a top ten Penn State squad that could be its biggest challenge of the season to date (no offense Notre Dame).

You know it’s a big one when the two major pregame shows originate from the banks of the Olentangy, and that’s exactly what we have Saturday with Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff and ESPN’s College GameDay in the shadow of Ohio Stadium

The ESPN crew already made their picks, and shortly thereafter, Urban Meyer and and the rest of the crew including Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn, and Mark Ingram all made their predictions and had differing opinions.

Here’s what they all said.

No. 14 Sooners vs Cincinnati Bearcats: How to Watch, key players, weather forecast for gameday

The Sooners are going to be in for a battle this weekend, let’s take a look at how you can watch, the impact players, injury report and what’s the weather going to be like.

The Oklahoma Sooners are set to take on the [autotag]Cincinnati Bearcats[/autotag] on Saturday. This is the first conference game for both teams.

The Sooners are coming off a 3-0 nonconference slate whereas the Bearcats are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to in-state foe Miami (Oh.). But don’t let that game fool you. The Bearcats had seven trips to the red zone and only scored on four of them, two of which were field goals.

That’s how you beat yourself in a game you should win. This game is going to be a lot more interesting than people think. This is the best defensive line the Sooners have faced to date and could be the best they face all season.

But that doesn’t mean the offense isn’t any good. They rank No. 12 in the nation in total yards and No. 8 in the nation in rushing. The Sooners’ 15th-ranked rushing defense is going to be tested once again and the Bearcats have a very good dual-threat quarterback at the helm.

Not to mention this is going to be Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff game, the only time Oklahoma is making the trip as conference foes, and is expected to be a blackout for Cincinnati.

But without giving too much away, let’s dive into how you can watch the Sooners on the road.

Fox ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ slated for Oklahoma at Cincinnati in Week 4

When the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Cincinnati, they’ll face the Bearcats as part of Fox Big Noon Kickoff.

The Oklahoma Sooners are heading to Cincinnati to open Big 12 play against the Bearcats, who are in their first year in the Big 12.

When the Bearcats host the Sooners for their first Big 12 conference game, they’ll be on the national stage. Fox “Big Noon Kickoff” will make the trip to Cincinnati for the big-time matchup.

The Sooners are up big early in their matchup with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, and Cincinnati will host Miami (Ohio) for an evening affair.

The last time the Oklahoma Sooners were on “Big Noon Kickoff” was their trip to Lincoln to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers last year.

The game is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on Fox. The Sooners hold a 2-0 edge in the history of the matchup, picking up the wins in 2008 and 2010.

Caitlin Clark to square off against FOX ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ co-host Matt Leinart in 3-point contest

Fans are invited to see Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark take on Matt Leinart in a 3-point shooting contest Friday in downtown Iowa City.

Iowa City is the place to be this weekend, but no longer for the reason you’re thinking.

While, yes, the Hawkeyes’ afternoon clash with the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines is one of the most anticipated Big Ten matchups of the year, the real highlight comes on Friday.

Drawn in by the allure of the massive contest happening at Kinnick Stadium this weekend, FOX will be in town where Iowa City will play host to their “Big Noon Kickoff.”

Matt Leinart, former national champion and NFL quarterback, used his status on the show to issue a challenge to Iowa women’s basketball superstar Caitlin Clark for a 3-point competition. The All-American guard and recent Big Ten Player of the Year quickly accepted the invitation.

I’m in. See you tomorrow… 🙂 and see all you hawk fans there too!!!!” Clark tweeted.

Both Iowa basketball teams will host “Hawkeye Hoops from Downtown” from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday afternoon on Iowa Ave. in downtown Iowa City.

Leinart might be best remembered for his accomplishments on the football field, winning a national championship with USC and bringing home the Heisman Trophy in 2004. He was the 10th overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, but was unfortunately caught behind a resurgent Kurt Warner.

Leinart does have a background in hoops as well, though. He lettered in basketball in high school at Mater Dei, and made headlines back in 2014 when he dropped 15 points and five assists in a Drew League game.

That said, he certainly isn’t Caitlin Clark. We’re talking about the Big Ten Player of the Year here. She averaged 27 points per game last year. She can shoot from anywhere in the gym!

It’s going to be a rough one on Friday for Matt Leinart.
