One outlet named Notre Dame quarterback commit Deuce Knight as Elite 11 MVP

A great showing from Knight

Although the Elite 11 didn’t name Notre Dame football 2025 quarterback commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] its MVP, he still impressed many.

On3 had its own rankings and ultimately had the 6-foot, 5-inch and 205-pound lefty as their top player during the event. Knight did well during the individual portions along with the pro-day and put a cherry on top with his play during the 7-on7 competition.

The sum of the whole was enough for On3 to have him as their best, which shouldn’t come as a surprise after what has been a fantastic summer for Knight. With his current 247Sports Composite Ranking at No. 51 overall, expect a rise in the near future.

Knight could land as a 5-star prospect, but wherever he lands, he’s the top quarterback commit in the Marcus Freeman era.

Alabama commit named 2024 Elite 11 MVP

This is the second-straight year an Alabama commit has received MVP honors.

One of the nation’s premier quarterback competitions, the Elite 11 Finals, has now officially come to a close out in California, with Alabama Crimson Tide commit Keelon Russell taking home MVP honors.

The Alabama commit is considered as the nation’s No. 38 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, and is rated as a four-star quarterback. Russell, a former SMU commit who flipped to Alabama back in early-June, is also the nation’s No. 6 signal caller, as well as the No. 10 player in the state of Texas where he attends Duncanville High School.

An annual event, the Elite 11 Finals are held each year between some of the nation’s top rising senior quarterbacks. Other finalists from the 2024 Elite 11 Finals also included USC commit Julian Lewis, Ohio State commit Tavien St. Clair, and Missouri commit Matt Zollers, among others.

Russell is now the second consecutive Alabama commit to be named Elite 11 MVP, joining now Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin who took home the honor in 2023 as a Crimson Tide commitment. Prior to Sayin, an Alabama quarterback had not been named Elite 11 MVP since Tua Tagovailoa in 2016.

Tavien St. Clair is focused on bringing four wide receivers to Ohio State

St. Clair is recruiting hard for the Buckeyes. #GoBucks

Recruiting now has changed, it’s not just coaches going after players, the players are also recruiting their friends to join them.

That’s exactly what Ohio State football 2025 quarterback, [autotag]Tavien St. Clair[/autotag], is doing at the Elite 11 Finals. It’s not just signal callers at the event, they need receivers to throw the ball to, and participate in the 7-on-7 tournament towards the end of the events. That means some of the nation’s best pass catchers are with him.

St. Clair has set his focus on four wide receivers that he’s trying to lure to Columbus with him — Dakorien Moore, Vernell Brown, Jaime Ffrench and Phillip Bell, he told 247Sports recruiting insider Tom Loy.

Currently Ohio State has commitments from De’zie Jones and Quincy Porter, but wants to add at least two more receivers in the 2025 class. Any of the four that St. Clair is going after would be a huge recruiting win.

Ohio State quarterback commit Air Noland earns invite to top position camp

The Buckeye commit was impressive in Atlanta #GoBucks

We all know about the [autotag]Elite 11[/autotag] quarterback camp, it’s one where multiple former [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] quarterbacks have attended and is regarded as the top camp for the position annually.

The list of former Buckeyes is impressive and includes C.J. Stroud, Justin Fields, and [autotag]Kyle McCord[/autotag]. Fields and Stroud went home with MVP trophies in their respective years.

You can add another Buckeye to the list in Air Noland. The lefty quarterback participated in the Elite 11 Atlanta regional and to no one’s surprise, was one of the best in attendance.

His performance was good enough to earn him a bid to the Elite 11 finals in Los Angeles over the summer. Check out below some of the throws Noland made along with him getting the good news on qualifying for the finals.

LSU QB commit Colin Hurley makes Elite 11 finals

Hurley earned his spot in this summer’s competition between the top signal-callers in the country.

Quarterback [autotag]Colin Hurley[/autotag] is the current headliner of LSU’s 2024 recruiting class.

The blue-chip QB, once a member of the 2025 class, reclassified to 2024. Despite being on the younger side, he’ll be headed to the Elite 11 finals this summer.

Hurley hails from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Hurley is the 14th-best quarterback in the class. Before reclassifying, Hurley was seen as a top-30 player overall in the class of 2025.

By the time Hurley arrives at LSU, he’ll join a QB room with [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] and [autotag]Rickie Collins[/autotag]. Nussmeier is the expected starter in 2024, but Hurley’s early arrival gives him the chance if there’s an open competition in 2025.

With Hurley, LSU got its 2024 QB locked in early in the recruiting process. Last year, it was a whirlwind before LSU finally ended up with Collins.

Hurley is a promising young talent and with the Elite 11 invite, his stock is only rising.

Arkansas commit making noise at the Elite 11 finals

Malachi Singleton’s dual threat ability has turned heads all week at the Elite 11 finals

The 20 best quarterbacks of the 2023 class are wrapping up a great week of competition at the Elite 11 finals, including an Arkansas commit.

[autotag]Malachi Singleton[/autotag], a four-star quarterback pledge for the 2023 class from Acworth, Ga. has competed in California this week as part of the prestigious quarterback competition. While there, he has caught the attention of the Elite 11 coaching staff.

Each day, Singleton has climbed among the rankings. By blending junior season film with camp evaluation, Singleton has increased his ranking from No. 11 to No. 7 in just one day.

Greg Biggins of 247sports revealed that Singleton’s dual threat ability is what makes him one of the best quarterbacks at the camp:

He’s known as a dual-threat and would probably be ranked among the top running backs in this year’s class when you see what he can do in the field. This week, he’s shown he can throw the rock as well and is going to give opposing defensive coordinators a lot of headaches in a few years.

Singleton is one of three quarterbacks that have committed to an SEC program, joining Alabama commit Eli Holstein and Tennessee pledge Nico Iamaleava.

The 2022 Elite 11 Finals kicked off on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Among the top-tier rising senior quarterbacks in the class of 2023 competing in the Elite 11 Finals is five-star Clemson quarterback commitment Christopher Vizzina of Briarwood Christian School (Birmingham, Ala.).

Vizzina showed off his arm talent at the Elite 11 Finals on Tuesday night with this impressive throw, which you can see in the following video from Marc Whiteman of WYFF News 4:

The 2022 Elite 11 Finals, which continues today and concludes Thursday, brings together top-level class of 2023 signal-callers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting, and includes on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development.

The Elite 11 will be named at the conclusion of The Elite 11 Finals.

Vizzina is ranked as the No. 6 quarterback and No. 34 overall prospect in the country for the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He told The Clemson Insider this past Friday that he was “really excited” to participate in the Elite 11 Finals.

“I’ve been training the past couple of weeks for it,” he said. “I’m ready to compete with everybody. I think it’s gonna be a lot of fun just being around a bunch of guys that have gone through and are going through the same thing I’ve been going through, and so I think that’ll be really cool…this is kind of the last camp for me. It’s almost kind of the championship for your personal quarterback recruiting or training — that’s kind of how I feel about it.”
