NFL Week 4 odds, betting lines: Bills are road favorites first time in Las Vegas

Buffalo Bills odds, spread in Week 4 vs. Las Vegas Raiders.

[jwplayer nErfXFWt-ThvAeFxT]

The Buffalo Bills are heading to the sports betting capitol of the country in Las Vegas for the first time to play a football game against the Raiders (1-2).

In doing so the sports bettors evidently do like the Bills (3-0) heading into their first AFC West action of the season. According to BetMGM, the Bills are 3-point favorites heading to face the Raiders in Week 4.

So far this season, the Bills have been favorites every game. Last week against the Rams, Buffalo was a 2.5-point favorite and covered that with some late-game heroics by quarterback Josh Allen, 35-32. In terms of the Raiders, the Patriots beat them up in New England in Week 3, 36-20.

But for the first time this season, the Bills are not near the bottom of the barrel in regard to their game’s over/ under. That honor this week goes to the Broncos-Jets meeting, which sits at 41. The Bills aren’t the highest in the league, but several games are below their 49.5 over/ under. In total, nine other games have a lower number attached to it across the NFL in Week 4.

The moneyline for Week 3 is Raiders (+113) and Bills (-127).

NFL Week 1 odds, betting lines: Bills solid favorite over Jets

Buffalo Bills, New York Jets oddsmakers, betting, bets, odds, Week 1.

[jwplayer xqUrAatf-ThvAeFxT]

The Bills and NFL are gearing up for Week 1 of the 2020 season. Ahead of game week, odds are out. To start the season, Buffalo welcomes the New York Jets to Orchard Park for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sunday. In this one, the Bills are 6.5 favorites at home, according to BetMGM.

Interestingly, the home team typically is given a three-point boost in games by oddsmakers each week. Week 1 between these two AFC East rivals will see the Jets travel upstate to western New York, however, there won’t be any fans at Bills Stadium for this one due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Still, the Jets have struggled in recent seasons under head coach Adam Gase and the hot seat is certainly on if he can’t get quarterback Sam Darnold and their offense going this year. No easy task getting that started against the Bills defense, a top-three unit from 2019.

That, plus the questions surrounding Buffalo’s offense and quarterback Josh Allen, see the game slated as a low-scoring affair to start the season. The over/ under of 40 is the lowest for all Week 1 slates. Thursday Night Football’s Chiefs-Texans game is more than two touchdowns higher at 54.5.

Last year the Bills and Jets finished the regular season against one another and the Bills entered that one as 1.5-point favorites. The Jets, facing a team of mostly backups for Buffalo because their postseason seeding was locked up, won that contest late, 13-6. This year’s season opener sees the moneyline sit at Bills (-265) and Jets (+215) as well.

NFL team win total best bets: How many games will the Buffalo Bills win in 2020?

Assessing the Buffalo Bills’ projected win total for the 2020 NFL season, with best bets for their Over/Under.

How many games will the Buffalo Bills win in the 2020 NFL season? We look at BetMGM‘s projected win total and the Over/Under odds, while looking back at the 2019 season and key offseason roster changes.

Buffalo Bills’ 2019 season

The Bills picked up 10 victories in 2019, qualifying for an AFC wild-card spot. They were particularly impressive on the road, going 6-2 straight up as opposed to 4-4 SU at home, and they were a favorite of bettors, too.

The Bills were 9-5-2 against the spread during the regular season, with the Under cashing in 12 of their 16 games, tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Under results in the NFL.

Buffalo Bills’ 2020 offseason changes

The Bills made a huge splash when they acquired WR Stefon Diggs via trade from the Minnesota Vikings for draft picks. LB Mario Addison, CB Josh Norman and OT Daryl Williams were also added via free agency, while RB Frank Gore, CB Kevin Johnson, DE Shaq Lawson and DT Jordan Phillips declared for free agency.

The team also added EDGE A.J. Epenesa in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, RB Zack Moss in the third round, WR Gabriel Davis in the fourth, QB Jake Fromm in the fifth, PK Tyler Bass and WR Isaiah Hodgins in the sixth and CB Dane Jackson in the seventh round.

On the road, the Bills will travel to meet the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans, as well as the Dolphins, Patriots and Jets.

Buffalo Bills’ 2020 win total: Best bet

Projected wins: 8.5 / OVER: -162 / UNDER: +135

The Bills made some huge splashes this offseason, and they had a very good draft in the eyes of most talking heads. Buffalo is trending in the right direction, and with QB Tom Brady finally gone from the hated Patriots, many feel the Bills are now the favorites to win the AFC East.

The schedule looks rather daunting, especially since they have to face both teams who played in the Super Bowl a season ago, however playing OVER 8.5 wins (-162) is the way to go. This team won 10 games last season and has gotten better during the offseason.

Oddsmakers: Bills betting favorite to win AFC East

The Buffalo Bills have the best betting odds to win the AFC, according to Caesar Sportsbook.

The Buffalo Bills have the best betting odds to win the AFC, according to Caesar Sportsbook. The betting organization named Buffalo +100 favorites to win the division.

New England is listed just behind Buffalo at +140. The Jets are slotting in third at this point, at +700, while the Miami Dolphins, even with their upgrades in free agency and the prospects of improving due to three first-round picks in this upcoming draft, are saddled in fourth at +1000.

Interestingly enough, the Bills do not have better odds to be crowned the AFC Champion ahead of the Patriots. Buffalo’s line is +1200, while the Patriots are listed at +900. This places the Bills with the fifth-highest odds to win the conference.

Buffalo has not won the AFC East division since 1995, while they have not won the conference since 1993.

Oddsmakers: Spreads released for 2020 Bills schedule

The Buffalo Bills aren’t going to be underdogs much when the 2020 NFL season rolls around, BetOnline thinks.

The Buffalo Bills aren’t going to be underdogs much when the 2020 NFL season rolls around, BetOnline thinks.

According to the oddsmakers, the Bills are favored in 11 of their 16 games next season already. In four, Buffalo’s the underdog and one game is a pick em’.

Of the four underdog outings, all of them are on the road. Those opponents are the Patriots, 49ers, Titans and Chiefs. In addition, the toss up pick em’ game is at the Broncos. That also means the Bills are favored in all of their home games.

At the 49ers sees the Bills’ biggest underdog outing at +6, while Buffalo’s biggest favorite spread is when the Dolphins visit New Era Field at -8. In terms of the AFC East, the Bills are predicted to sweep both the Dolphins and Jets as they’re favored in both games, while a season-split with the Pats is predicted.

Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs odds to be league leaders

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs’ odds at leading the NFL.

While Josh Allen is given some pretty long odds to lead the NFL in passing yards next season, Stefon Diggs sits pretty as a potential league leader as a receiver.

BetOnline released odds for two offensive categories on Tuesday and the quarterback and receiver appear in both.

Starting with Allen, he’s far down the list. His 50/1 odds to lead the NFL in passing yards are the fourth-worst odds handed out in the category.

At that slot there’s a six-way tie and it’s not the league’s elite talent with him. Those five others include Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, Ryan Tannehill, Daniel Jones, and Andy Dalton, who’s nearly teamless right now since the Bengals will likely move on from him shortly.

The opening favorite among QBs is Drew Brees at 5/1 odds. He’s followed by Patrick Mahomes (6/1).

Ending on a more positive note, Diggs is tied with JuJu Smith-Schuster with 20/1 odds to have the most receiving yards next year. That’s a solid bet as those are the ninth-best odds handed out.

Going hand-in-hand, Michael Thomas is the opening favorite among wideouts at 6/1, beating out Julio Jones (8/1) and DeAndre Hopkins (9/1).

Tre’Davious White, Ed Oliver land Defensive Player of Year odds

Buffalo Bills CB Tre’Davious White & DT Ed Oliver given Defensive Player of the Year odds.

Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White could be a sneaky good bet to win the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year Award.

According to BetOnline, White has a 33/1 shot to win the honor. That’s a tie for the 11th best odds handed out.

That number was also given to several others, including Bobby Wagner, Darius Leonard, Jalen Ramsey, Jamal Adams, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Shaquil Barrett, and Tyrann Mathieu.

The current favorite is Aaron Donald at 7/1 odds. Nick Bosa (9/1) and the Watt brothers, JJ and TJ, follow (11/1).

If you’re looking for a bit more of a longshot, Buffalo’s Ed Oliver also landed on the list at 150/1 odds. Those were the second-longest handed out (200/1).

What are the odds the Buffalo Bills will win Super Bowl LV?

Breaking down the Buffalo Bills sports betting odds of winning Super Bowl LV.

Do the Buffalo Bills have what it takes to win it all this year? We look at the sports betting odds around their chances of being the 2021 Super Bowl champions.

The joy of the preseason is that all fan bases – OK, almost all of them – have hope their favorite team will be holding the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year. However, there can only be one…

Buffalo Bills Super Bowl LV odds

According to the oddsmakers at BetMGM sportsbook, the Bills Super Bowl odds are at +2500 to win the championship this season. In fractional odds, that’s 25/1. It implies the team has a 0.0385 chance of winning.

Are you new to sports betting? Future odds like these give sports bettors, both experienced and casual, the opportunity to place an early wager on the team(s) they think will be this season’s NFL champion. As the year passes, the odds will move – the better a team becomes in the eyes of the oddsmakers, the shorter the odds will become. The worse a team looks, the longer the odds will be. If a team starts to receive a large number of bets on them, sportsbooks will also start to move the lines up and down to help cover their bases, too. By placing a bet early, it gives you the opportunity to receive a better potential return on your wager assuming those odds will later become shorter and, more importantly, less profitable.

A $100 wager on the Bills at +2500 odds returns a profit of $2,500 should they go on to win the Super Bowl this year.

Bills open with mid-level odds to win 2021 Super Bowl

Buffalo Bills opening odds for the 2021 Super Bowl, Super Bowl LV.

The odds aren’t great that the Buffalo Bills win the 2020 Super Bowl since only the Chiefs, Titans, Packers and 49ers are left in the current postseason race.

But the Bills and rest of NFL are still eligible for the 2021 Super Bowl. In those odds, the Bills land some middle of the pack chances to win Super Bowl LV, according to BetOnline.

The Bills open with 40/1 odds to take home the next title. Last season, Buffalo opened at 66/1 odds.

Two of the final three teams left in the hunt for the current Super Bowl, the Chiefs and the 49ers, are among the top-three odds at 7/1 and 8/1, respectively. The Ravens, who were eliminated last week in a shocker by the Titans, have 8/1 odds.

Of the 12 teams that made the postseason in 2019, the Bills have the second-worst numbers. Interestingly, the only team that’s a longer shot than Buffalo, is the still currently playing Titans, at 50/1.

In addition, a few teams that missed the playoffs this season have better odds than the Bills. That grouping includes the Cowboys (16/1), Falcons (25/1), Bears (25/1), Chargers (25/1), Rams (25/1), Browns (33/1) and Colts (33/1).

Oddsmakers: Despite playoffs, Bills open as favorite vs. Jets

Buffalo Bills, New York Jets Week 17 money line, spreads, odds and over/ under.

The Bills have nothing to play for against the New York Jets in Week 17. The Jets are playing for the ol’ pride factor. Buffalo already has the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs locked up.

Despite that, oddsmakers still give the Bills the edge in this one.

According to BetMGM, the Bills have opened as 1.5-point favorites against the Jets in their season finale.

As the home team, the Bills will typically see a three-point boost for playing this one at New Era Field. After their Week 16 loss to the Patriots, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said he hadn’t decided yet if the Bills would be playing their starters or not.

Regardless, it would be insane for the Bills to do so for an entire game which is meaningless. So expect it to be Jets starters against Bills backups. This factor also makes the Bills being favorites even more intriguing.

The Bills and Jets last met on opening day. In that one, the Jets were three-point favorites in a game the Bills won outright.

Once again, the Bills have the lowest over/ under in the NFL heading into a week. That’ set at 36.5. The money line sits Bills (-120) and Jets (+100) as well.
