Social media reacts to Tampa Bay’s 16-13 loss to the Falcons

Social media was understandably fired up after an ugly loss from the Bucs.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a chance to take a big lead over the NFC South, but the team missed that chance big time on Sunday.

The Bucs fell to the Atlanta Falcons 16-13 on Sunday, falling to 3-3 and sitting one game back of the lead in the division. It was a game filled with sloppy penalties, offensive miscues and big splash plays given up by the defense, and it was definitively one of Tampa Bay’s worst games of the year. Naturally, because of that, social media had plenty of things to say about the loss and ensuing fallout.

Here are a few posts from Bucs fans, pundits and neutral observers:

Social media reacts to Tampa Bay’s 20-6 loss to the Detroit Lions

The Bucs’ futile offense and lack of physicality were a big reason they lost against the Lions, and social media took notice.

It was a rough one for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so naturally, the internet had opinions on it.

The Bucs lost 20-6 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, falling to 3-2 on the season. The game was the team’s second against one of the NFC’s best football teams, and it went a similar way the last one did — losing a physical ballgame without a lot of offense. In particular, the run game struggled, and that was a point of emphasis among social media commentators all night. The Bucs will now look to defeat the Atlanta Falcons next week to try and take hold of the NFC South.

Here are some social media reactions from Bucs fans, pundits and neutral observers:

Andrew Adams dresses up as Spider-Man for his nephew’s birthday

Take a look at Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Andrew Adams dressed up as everyone’s favorite web slinger.

Bucs safety Andrew Adams is looking to help make a major impact on defense this season for Tampa Bay.

But before he swings into action for training camp, Adams took some time recently to swing by his nephew’s birthday party dressed up as Spider-Man.

Check out a video of Adams surprising the kids at the party while donning the Spidey outfit.

Adams also posted the below picture on his Instagram story, which I’m pretty sure is going to give me nightmares for the rest of my life.

Someone get Tristan Wirfs a drip pan

Bucs OT Tristan Wirfs has been hitting the football field lately and has the sweat to prove it.

When Tom Brady signed on to be the new quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, the Bucs’ main priority entering the 2020 NFL draft became getting one of the top-ranked offensive tackles on the board.

After three tackles went in the first 11 picks, Tampa Bay opted not to take any chances, and traded up a spot to No. 13 to select Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs. The rookie will be looked upon to help keep Brady upright this season as the Bucs look to make a championship run. (No pressure.)

Fortunately, Wirfs is training like a man possessed. The tackle took to Instagram today to show off some pictures from his recent workout at Skyway Park in Tampa.

Take a look.

By the looks of it, that hot Florida sun isn’t doing Wirfs any favors when it comes to cooling down. Thankfully, he’ll have the luxury of having some practices indoors once training camp begins.

Bucs S Antoine Winfield Jr. enjoys a little Sunday Funday

Buccaneers rookie safety Antoine Winfield enjoyed a little time outside by the grill on Father’s Day.

Training camp is just around the corner, so NFL players everywhere are enjoying the last few weeks of rest and relaxation before beginning the grind towards the 2020 regular season.

While Tom Brady is the biggest new name in the Bucs’ locker room, the team also has a fresh crop of rookies ready to help Tampa Bay make a postseason run. One of those high-prized draft picks is safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who was taken in round two of April’s NFL draft (No. 45 overall).

The younger Winfield went on Instagram yesterday to wish his father, and former NFL Pro Bowl cornerback, Antoine Winfield Sr. a happy Father’s Day. And, it appears junior enjoyed some time out by the grill Sunday, too. (No word on whether or not dad joined in.)

Buccaneers players celebrate Juneteenth on social media

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with several players, took to social media today to celebrate Juneteenth.

June 19 is the holiday commemorating the date in 1865 when Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger traveled to Galveston, Texas, to inform residents that President Abraham Lincoln had freed enslaved people in rebel states more than two years earlier and that enslavers had to comply with the Emancipation Proclamation. (via USA TODAY)

The day takes on extra meaning this year in light of racial tension in America that has arisen once again in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer last month. The incident has sparked protests worldwide calling for an end to systemic racism.

Today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with several players, took to social media to acknowledge the importance of Juneteenth.

Take a look at some of the posts below.

Tom Brady hits the field with Deion Sanders’ son

Bucs QB Tom Brady spent some time training on the field with the son of a Hall of Famer.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been on the field recently with his new teammates, working out at a local Tampa prep school in anticipation of training camp beginning next month.

But the Hall of Fame quarterback took some time out of his busy schedule to help pass on a little knowledge to the son of another Hall of Famer. Brady worked out with Shedeur Sanders, son of legendary NFL defender Deion Sanders, this weekend.

The younger Sanders is an ESPN four-star quarterback and will be entering his senior season at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas. He already has a number of offers from big-name schools like LSU, Michigan and Alabama.

Shedeur took to Instagram to show off some photos of him with the G.O.A.T.

Deion went on Instagram to show Brady love for what he did.

Gronk bids farewell to Mr. Stache on Instagram

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski bid farewell to his hairy companion Mr. Stache today on Instagram.

Rob Gronkowski hit the field recently with Tom Brady and a few of his new Bucs teammates at a local Tampa prep school, preparing himself for his first NFL season since 2018.

While the future Hall of Famer readies his body for the grind of an NFL season, he figured it was time to bid adieu to his dear new friend, Mr. Stache. Gronk and his hairy companion have been enjoying their time together, but the All-Pro tight end felt it was time to start fresh… at least for now.

Check out these screenshots from Gronk’s latest Instagram story.

It was a great ride, and while Mr. Stache won’t be entering the 2020 season with Gronk, he could make a comeback when Movember rolls around.

Stay tuned for Mr. Stache Part Deux.

Tom Brady’s son steals the show in this hilarious family TikTok video

Take a look at this hilarious family video Gisele posted on TikTok.

Bucs QB Tom Brady had a fun-filled Sunday on the golf course with Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods, taking part in The Match: Champions for Charity, which helped raise $20 million for COVID-19 relief.

But for Brady, there’s no place like home and being with his family. And taking a look at this latest TikTok video from Gisele (a sentence I never thought I’d write in my life) it seems the Brady bunch know how to have fun.

Take a look at this fun game between husband and wife and watch until the end for Brady’s son Benjamin to make the perfect entrance.
