Rife with playoff implications, Saints-Falcons is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18

Rife with playoff implications, Sunday’s Saints-Falcons matchup is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18. Will your local TV station have the game?

We’ve got a heated rivalry game in Week 18, with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons matching up and a lot on the line. This could be the last game of the 2023 season for either team with a loss. Long-shot playoff implications, coaches on the hot seat, and decades-old bragging rights are all at stake. They’re playing for more than their pride.

And it’s a game rife with playoff implications. Five teams are still in contention for the final wild-card seed, including the Saints and Falcons — but fans of the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Minnesota Vikings will be tuning in. So will Los Angeles Rams fans, who could end up being the sixth or seventh seed depending on other games’ results. Dallas Cowboys faithful are going to be watching, too, seeing as they’ll likely be hosting the seventh-seed team.

That’s why coverage is so fragmented for the Saints-Falcons matchup. In addition to both teams’ home markets in the Gulf South, CBS affiliate stations in each of those playoff teams’ locales will  be carrying the game. Check the broadcast map from 506 Sports embedded below:

The Minnesota Vikings are on their bye week which means a weekend of enjoying the National Football League relatively carefree.

Yes, teams like the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, both of whom could impact the Vikings standing in the chase for a playoff berth.

Overall, it’s a great weekend to enjoy some football. The early slate has a couple of intriguing games, including the Lions taking on the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos taking on the Houston Texans.

Meanwhile, the late slate has one of the marquee games of the season with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the NFC Championship Game.

NFL Week 11 TV broadcast maps

With the Vikings not playing on Sunday afternoon, see what games will air on Sunday afternoon

The start to week 11 was certainly a memorable one. Both Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews are expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering injuries during Thursday night’s game.

The slate for week 11 is going to be an interesting one. The early games have a little bit of intrigue. The Los Angeles Chargers need a win over the Green Bay Packers badly after losing 38-31 to the Detroit Lions last week.

The other game of real intrigue is the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Houston Texans with Kyler Murray taking on C.J. Stroud.

The afternoon slate isn’t great, but the Sunday night game between the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos looks to be a great matchup to finish out the Sunday games.

With the Vikings playing on Sunday night, the Minnesota market will get three non-Vikings games. Here is what will air on Sunday in each market with two games on CBS and one on Fox courtesy of 506 Sports.
