Rife with playoff implications, Saints-Falcons is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18

Rife with playoff implications, Sunday’s Saints-Falcons matchup is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18. Will your local TV station have the game?

We’ve got a heated rivalry game in Week 18, with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons matching up and a lot on the line. This could be the last game of the 2023 season for either team with a loss. Long-shot playoff implications, coaches on the hot seat, and decades-old bragging rights are all at stake. They’re playing for more than their pride.

And it’s a game rife with playoff implications. Five teams are still in contention for the final wild-card seed, including the Saints and Falcons — but fans of the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Minnesota Vikings will be tuning in. So will Los Angeles Rams fans, who could end up being the sixth or seventh seed depending on other games’ results. Dallas Cowboys faithful are going to be watching, too, seeing as they’ll likely be hosting the seventh-seed team.

That’s why coverage is so fragmented for the Saints-Falcons matchup. In addition to both teams’ home markets in the Gulf South, CBS affiliate stations in each of those playoff teams’ locales will  be carrying the game. Check the broadcast map from 506 Sports embedded below:

Getting the call for the CBS crew this week will be Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Tiki Barber (color commentary), Matt Ryan (color commentary) and AJ Ross (sideline).

Despite coming off a loss on the road, the Colts currently hold the No. 7 seed in the AFC playoff picture, leading a quartet of 8-7 teams.

The Raiders have been one of the more interesting teams since firing former head coach Josh McDaniels. In the interim under Antonio Pierce, it’s clear the defense applies a physical brand of football that few teams have been able to match.

The Colts will have an advantage against a Raiders offense that is streaky. However, the Raiders defense should be able to keep this game close being led by the star pass rusher Maxx Crosby.

It seems the Colts will be near full strength, all things considered. Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is trending to clear the concussion protocol entering Friday, but as we saw last week, it’s not official until the game starts and he’s on the field.

It also appears the Colts will see the return of right tackle Braden Smith, barring a setback during Friday’s practice. He has played just three snaps over the last four games and has dealt with injuries throughout the entire season.

The Raiders always seem to match up well with the Colts so this should be an interesting battle at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

With the Eagles playing on Monday Night Football, we’re looking at the TV Broadcast Map for the remainder of Week 15 in the NFL

Struggling teams can use a confidence booster, and less of a dominant NFC West team will be the foe for “Monday Night Football,” with the Seattle Seahawks (6-7) hosting the Philadelphia Eagles (10-3).

Nick Sirianni’s team is looking to fix issues on both sides of the football after two straight double-digit losses to NFC leaders while looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak since 2021.

Seattle is coming off their fourth-straight loss of the season after losing to the San Francisco 49ers without quarterback Geno Smith.

NFL Week 14 TV broadcast maps

See what games will air in your market as the playoff race heats up

The playoff push is getting more intense as we enter week 14 of the National Football League season. There are some really big matchups across the league but two of them stand out above the rest.

The Buffalo Bills heading to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs headlines the late game slate. The Bills are 6-6 and need to win to stay alive in the AFC East race and currently don’t have a wild card spot. The Chiefs are a game behind in the race for the number one seed in the AFC and need to find a way to pull out a big win.

The night game will be the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys. If the Cowboys win, both teams will be tied atop the NFC East standings and give the NFC playoff picture quite the different outlook.

CBS will get two games in each market with Fox getting one. See who will be airing in your market on Sunday courtesy of 506 Sports.

If you’re in the yellow, you’ll get Colts vs. Bengals on TV

Those in the yellow will get the Colts and Bengals on CBS.

The Indianapolis Colts (7-5) are riding a four-game winning streak as they prepare to visit the Cincinnati Bengals (6-6) at Paycor Stadium for a Week 14 matchup.

(Courtesy of 506 Sports)

Getting the call for the CBS crew this week will be Tom McCarthy (play-by-play), James Lofton (color commentary), Jay Feely (color commentary) and Tiffany Blackmon (sideline).

Both the Colts and the Bengals are right in the thick of the AFC playoff picture. The Colts currently hold the No. 7 seed while the Bengals are right there behind the quartet of 7-5 teams.

The Colts opened the week as slight road favorites, but it appears the lines may be shifting toward favoring the home team. Either way, this game will have heavy implications for the playoff picture.
