PFF highlights Chiefs LB Nick Bolton’s special performance vs. Dolphins

Pro Football Focus highlighted Nick Bolton’s special performance in the #Chiefs’ win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.

Veteran linebacker Nick Bolton has been a rock for the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense since joining the team as a second-round pick in 2021. His performance against the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card round of the AFC playoffs was impressive and helped lead Kansas City to its first win of the postseason as the Chiefs endeavor to defend their Super Bowl LVII title.

Bolton, usually known for his tackling prowess, put together an excellent showing in pass coverage against Miami, allowing just 29 yards on eight targets on Saturday night.

Few players have made more of an impact for Kansas City than Bolton this season, and his outstanding execution against the Dolphins is yet another feather in his cap ahead of the Chiefs’ next playoff matchup.

Expect Bolton to continue dominating Kansas City’s opponents as the Chiefs look to keep building momentum in search of a Super Bowl berth in February.

Rife with playoff implications, Saints-Falcons is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18

Rife with playoff implications, Sunday’s Saints-Falcons matchup is drawing a lot of attention in Week 18. Will your local TV station have the game?

We’ve got a heated rivalry game in Week 18, with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons matching up and a lot on the line. This could be the last game of the 2023 season for either team with a loss. Long-shot playoff implications, coaches on the hot seat, and decades-old bragging rights are all at stake. They’re playing for more than their pride.

And it’s a game rife with playoff implications. Five teams are still in contention for the final wild-card seed, including the Saints and Falcons — but fans of the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Minnesota Vikings will be tuning in. So will Los Angeles Rams fans, who could end up being the sixth or seventh seed depending on other games’ results. Dallas Cowboys faithful are going to be watching, too, seeing as they’ll likely be hosting the seventh-seed team.

That’s why coverage is so fragmented for the Saints-Falcons matchup. In addition to both teams’ home markets in the Gulf South, CBS affiliate stations in each of those playoff teams’ locales will  be carrying the game. Check the broadcast map from 506 Sports embedded below:

FOX’s Saints-Panthers broadcast coverage is limited in Week 14

FOX’s Saints-Panthers TV broadcast coverage is limited to each team’s home market in Week 14:

The latest round of NFL broadcast maps are live from 506 Sports, and it’s looking like the New Orleans Saints are in for limited television coverage this week. Only FOX affiliate stations in the home markets for the Saints and Carolina Panthers are carrying the game.

It isn’t like this is a crowded viewing window (kickoff is scheduled for Noon CT/1 p.m. ET) with two other games competing on FOX in the early-afternoon slate. But it’s tough to imagine stations around the country are lining up for a game between a Saints team that’s lost three in a row and a one-win Panthers squad.

Will your local station have the game? Check the areas marked in yellow on the map embedded below:

Week 5 NFL broadcast maps: Will your local station carry Saints at Patriots?

Will your local station carry Saints at Patriots? Check the Week 5 NFL broadcast map from 506 Sports:

There aren’t a ton of fireworks in the forecast for Week 5’s matchup between the New Orleans Saints (2-2) and New England Patriots (1-3) which has the look of a tough game between two defense-first teams. But will your local CBS station carry the broadcast?

This week’s broadcast will be shown in each team’s home market: meaning Saints fans in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and large parts of of North Carolina, Florida, and Arkansas will be tuning in. So will Patriots fans in most of the Northeast: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, plus most of New York and New Jersey.

If you’d like a visual, reference, check this broadcast map from 506 Sports. Markets in blue will carry the Saints-Patriots game, while those in green will feature the Tennessee Titans-Indianapolis Colts divisional rivalry game. But much of the country will see the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers (marked in red) continue their storied feud:

Week 17 NFL broadcast maps: Will your local market carry the Saints-Eagles matchup?

Week 17 NFL broadcast maps: Will your local market carry the Saints-Eagles matchup?

The Week 17 NFL broadcast coverage maps are in, and Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles on New Year’s Day will be shown in select markets running from coast to coast. Whether or not star quarterback Jalen Hurts will be leading the 13-2 Eagles remains to be seen, but the 6-9 Saints are just hoping to keep their season alive with playoff hopes on the brink.

Philly faithful in their home market on the East Coast will catch the game on their local FOX affiliates, as will Saints fans across much of the Gulf South — but the game is also going to be shown across most of Texas, and surprisingly, in the Los Angeles market out on the West Coast. You can check for local coverage on the 506sports.com broadcast map shown below, with Saints-Eagles coverage featured in blue:

NFL announces time and date for Week 15 Saints-Falcons game

The NFL announced its time and date for Week 15 Saints vs. Falcons game amid announcements on multiple flex scheduling moves:

There we go: we’ll have to thank the NFL schedule-makers for not waiting until after Monday night’s game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to announce when the New Orleans Saints will play their next game. New Orleans will come out of its bye week and host the division-rival Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Dec. 18 with kickoff scheduled at noon CT. TV coverage will be broadcast regionally on FOX. The game’s time and date was previously listed as to-be-determined.

So make your travel plans accordingly. This game might have been scheduled differently had the Falcons not ended their Week 13 game with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a last-minute Marcus Mariota interception, but that’s in the past now. Odds are this matchup won’t be quite as compelling as hoped, but we’ll see. Maybe the Saints can knock off Tampa Bay on the road and plan to exit their bye week and go on a run. They aren’t mathematically eliminated from the playoffs just yet, after all.

As for other changes on Monday’s Week 15 flex scheduling update; three games will be played on Saturday, Dec. 17 on NFL Network:

  • 12:00 p.m. CT: Indianapolis Colts vs. Minnesota Vikings

  • 3:30 p.m. CT: Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns

  • 7:15 p.m. CT: Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills
